The employees were very pleasant and helpful. I was directed right to the book I was looking for which is always nice because I didn’t have time to look around. I also grabbed a beautiful sugar skull notebook and a puppy calendar all for $ 15. I’ll be back.

Okay, all the bad stuff: Sometimes it can be a wait to check out, and unfortunately the shelf of foreign movies seems to be on a slow and steady shrinking trend(*sob!*). SOO much good stuff: I can find new homes for my husband’s college bookshelf clutter and even get a few bucks for it. They have relatively new releases and old classics. Their notecard/postcard selection can be down to the same grandma-friendly boxed images I’ve seen on the shelf for the past two years, or WILDLY treasure-filled: Black Fives, Kenyan telephone wire baskets, classic English landscape painters, American antiques, a marching band of cartoon animals… I check it out every single time, and being low on stationery is usually what brings me here through the beastly nearby highway intersection I usually avoid. I am always alert at checkout to what new novelty items are displayed at the registers, and probably half the time I find something hilarious to treat myself or a friend. Also, get one of their calendars and you will never again have to shop there without a coupon!

The staff is friendly and helpful. If you’re looking at the comics, most of them are overpriced as is with all half price books. The movie and book selections are pretty good.

I love music. However I sometimes find some that I don’t love. So I bring it to Half Price Books and sell it. I don’t get much, but when does anyone get what they paid for when they sell it used? I have found that they have a wide selection of books, especially children books. They sell music, movies, records, comic books, stationary, books, games, and other random items of entertainment. I always experience good costumer service there. They have a public restroom and drinking fountain. The parking is never an issue and the building title is easy to locate.
