I got duped by the name into thinking that this spot was THE Jazz SPOT. … Now I refer to it more accurately as the Jzz Stain! I believe I may have caught this place on a good day… and I’d really hate to see it on a bad day. I should have known to avoid when I was the only one in the establishment at lunch time. The waiter did not check on me even though we had the place to ourselves. He was too preoccupied flirting with a coworker over a birthday cake, or something, and watching exciting afternoon TV at the bar. One employee to be found in the place, and he was ill equipped to serve us. We waited a long time for our check. Worse yet, when he did finally present the check, he would not accept our coupon, falsely advertised. Not only this, but he was snarky about how they never get paid and that’s why they neglected to participate anymore.(Since I complained twice, it was eventually removed from the site.) I had to pay cash but the only reason I spent $ 50 was because I was trying to be eligible for the half off coupon! No other way would I have ordered all that good for naught food. And I did not even get into the lack of food quality. I believe the seafood came out of a freezer, as I did not find mine to be fresh at all. If you want a good food and music venue, simply proceed south on Broadway to the Oyster House or BB’s or one of the two or three generic bars in their same vicinity. See my review for the wonderful Broadway Oyster House.
