Super quick on the food, and bubble tea was excellent Quality of the pad Thai was more than exceptional, it was superb. Time spent there was 10 – 15 minutes, I was in and out. Will definitely visit again

Was not very good in my opinion. I had the Pad see-u, which is my go-to Thai food. The food came out really fast, but they could have spent more time cooking it. Everything was mushy. The flavor was there, just not the texture. My husband has the teriyaki shrimp which was a special but it also wasn’t very good. My daughters has the fried rice and veggie noodles. They were ok, but nothing special. The Thai tea was good. Also it’s really tiny so it did not seat my family.

I ordered carry out and got pad thai with tofu and thai iced tea. I thought the pad thai was good but I’ve definitely had better. Since it’s the only thai restaurant within walking distance from me, I know I’ll be back to try other things on the menu.

I was feeling so OUT of it with recovering from the flu, and I sure did not want to cook, and the Thai 202 Hot and sour noodle soup hit the spot like nothing else. The satay chicken is crispy delicious and suddenly, my bleary day was not so bad anymore. The food is quick when you are eating in and they are great for carrying out. Thai 202 gave me a huge boost when I needed it.

Consistency. That is the issue. We lived in the neighborhood and Thai 202 was an easy go-to takeout place, so patronized the restaurant often. Consistency. Depending on who is in the kitchen, the quality of food can go from«wow, that is amazing» to «what the hell am I eating?» on a same dish you just had a week ago. Consistency. Most of the items on the menu were pretty good. But avoid their soup noodle dish. It tasted like as if the cook just dropped a beef flavored cube of Knorr and added some rice noodle. It was not impressive.

I enjoyed my food from Thai 202, I ordered it as carry out. I got the Pad Keemao and Crab Rangoons. I got 5 crab Rangoons medium sized, pretty good. The pad Keemao is really good as well! I asked for medium spice and they delivered. Highly recommend for a fast Thai restaurant for a general basis.

This is a cute little Thai place in St. Louis. More a quick lunch kinda place but the folks are super sweet and can modify to your tastes.

This place is okay. Tried 5 things from here and I’ll rate each one individually and upload pictures: Pad Kee Mao 4⁄5: I highly recommend this, it’s above average. I got mine with pork. Red Curry 4⁄5: I highly recommend this as well, another above average dish. I got chicken with mine. Make sure to let your white rice soak up most of the sauce! Pad See-U 3⁄5: Surprisingly bland. This dish was comprised primarily of noodles and not much else. Too bad as this dish is my favorite at most Thai places. I got mine with chicken. Would not order again. Pineapple fried rice 3⁄5: This dish was also surprisingly bland, would not order again. I got mine with chicken. Orange chicken 2⁄5: Okay I had a feeling getting Americanized Chinese food from a Thai restaurant would be a bad idea but I decided to get it anyway. And it was in fact a bad idea. The chicken barely had any sauce, it tasted dry. It was kind of like slightly seasoned popcorn chicken. This is the most disappointing thing I’ve gotten from this restaurant. They have a fairly large menu, but so far my experience has been that only a few select menu items are actually worth ordering. I’ve only ordered takeout from here. Every time I call they ask for my phone number. But when I show up to pick up my order, they ask for my name. Which they never ask for over the phone. I don’t understand that. The forks they give you for takeout are pathetic. I wish I had taken a picture of it to share with y’all. It’s the thinnest, crappiest«fork» you could imagine. So I always throw them away and use my own fork at home.

Though this place is nothing to look at, the food is really good. I had the pad basil and my husband had pad Thai. Both were excellent, and the counter clerk was nice and very helpful.

As a SLU student, I love that I can find authentic Thai food so close to campus. The pad thai was as tasty as my favorite Thai restaurant’s pad thai back home. I am definitely a repeat customer!

Order: Chicken satay and peanut sauce Chicken potstickers Chicken pad Thai Service: Takeout on a Saturday night Thoughts: Fast service. Chicken satay was okay. Peanut sauce was the real star here. Chicken potsticker average, edible. Accompanying sauce did not compliment the potstickers. Pad Thai was bland. Ordered it extra spicy and it was still just plain, basically flavorless. Also ordered chicken pad Thai, yet somehow ended up with shrimp in my takeout container. Overall: Quick service, but food only okay.

I really wanted to like it. Seriously. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t come close to great Thai food(check out Thai Country Café instead if you’ve got a craving). Steamed Vegetable Dumplings — really«dough-y» — even the filling of veggies lacked crispiness or flavor. The sauce was pungent, but pretty thick and syrupy for a dumpling sauce. Pad See Ew — again, really dough-y with not much flavor. Red Curry — it was spicy, sort of, but not tasty. The spice was that raw kind that just skips the front of your tongue and hits the back of your throat. Overall, pretty meh.

Another average restaurant … not cheap or awesome food, some was ok, not sure I’ll be back. I don’t like self serve places. Can’t recommend this place

Love this place! Cheap, fast, and in the heart of CWE. Family owned joint with some of the friendliest staff around. I love how easy it is to customize everything(adding vegetables, switching the meat, etc.) Would highly recommend the following: pad kee mao, any of the curries, veggie pancake and sweet potato fries from the appetizers menu. If you’re not a fan of über sweet bubble tea, I’d skip the ones here. Also, for some unfathomable reason, the pad thai is their weakest dish.

I ordered the crispy egg rolls and the Hot and Sour Noodle Soup with chicken and shrimp to go last night. They packed the crispy egg rolls in your typical Styrofoam container but cut a hole in the container so the hot egg rolls didn’t steam in the container on the way home and get over cooked. This was a very nice touch! They were still crispy! The Hot and Sour Soup was delicious! The broth had just the right amount of spice. This would be an excellent winter meal when all you want to do is go home and eat soup. I would say I enjoyed it more than a Vietnamese Phở. The place was busy and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back!

Recently found this little restaurant while wandering through the CWE with my beau. I had never actually tried any Thai food before coming here, so my opinion may not be the most fully informed, but I definitely enjoyed it! Their outdoor seating was a nice feature, and we really enjoyed how they have faux dishes of their food in the window, so you can really preview what you’ll be ordering. I got the pineapple fried rice with chicken, and it did not disappoint. It was loaded with little bean pods, pineapple, cashews, and other goodies. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a big fan of the spicy-sweet combo, and if you’re the same way, this is the dish for you! Be sure to sprinkle on a dash of chili powder or oil to kick things up a notch, if you’re feeling adventurous. My boyfriend got the Pad-see-u(sp?) with chicken and we both loved it. The flavors were complex and rich, the rice noodles were perfectly done and coated, and the chicken was super tasty. We liked it a lot, and will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

I’ve had a lot of good food here. I would have to say the only reason this place lost a star is because you have to clean your own table and take care of yourself after you order. It’s not fun and not something you expect of a location in CWE. One of my favorite foods is pad ginger and potstickers. Both are really good and have nice flavor. I’m not one for spice so I tend to go to the milder end of the scale. My one friend loves spicy and always asks for spice to be added. They are very much so willing to add more spice to their food upon request and give you a scale of 1 – 5 as to how spicy you would like the food. Finally, the portions are huge if you eat in. I don’t always think that’s fair because a lot of times I get to go and the proportion is smaller. But hey, you can choose. I think the proportion is still pretty large for take out as well.

Came here for a quick dinner at CWE when my sister-in-law was visiting. Wasn’t expecting anything spectacular, and well it really was just that, nothing spectacular. I ordered the pineapple fried rice, and I actually just realized that there wasn’t any pineapples in it. I think they accidentally gave me the thai fried rice, because there weren’t any cashews, pineapples, or raisins. The fried rice wasn’t anything spectacular, I wish they had some oyster sauce to add a little more flavor to the rice. Seating is limited indoors and out. When we were there, it looked like a lot of customers ordered takeout. I would probably recommend the takeout route unless you are planning to walk around CWE. I see this place as a fast food Thai place. I wouldn’t come here if you are looking for very authentic Thai food, but if you have a craving and are limited on time. This may satisfy your craving.

I visited Thai 202 on a Saturday afternoon after getting out of a movie at the Chase Park Plaza. Thai 202 is a small restaurant in the Central West End. You order your food at the counter and it’s delivered to your table in about 15 minutes. The interior of the restaurant is clean and well kept. The staff is also friendly. There are also displays of their most popular dishes that sit on the ledge of the front window. I was at this restaurant for a little of an hour and was amazed at the amount of people walking by on the sidewalk, that stopped to gawk at Thai 202’s food displays. So I guess its good advertisement if it catches that much attention! I ordered the Sesame Chicken… yes I realize this is not a Thai dish. But I love Sesame Chicken so I couldn’t help myself. Thai 202’s version of the dish was pretty delicious but the sauce was a bit on the salty side. A friend ordered a Thai iced tea. I’ve never heard of such a thing, but she let me try her drink and it was pretty good! It’s pretty much like an extra sweet iced tea except with milk mixed in. The drink is orange in color because of the tea leaves they use. If I’m in CWE again and hungry for Thai/Chinese food, this will probably be my go-to stop. I’d recommend it and gladly visit again.

I’m basing this review on their Thai tea with boba, since I didn’t end up eating dinner there. I’m definitely open to going back to try their food, though, so hopefully this rating will change. However, as it stands, the boba tea did not impress me at all. The consistency of the boba was too chewy and flour-y. The Thai tea lacked the actual tea flavor and was overpowered by sugar(and that’s a big statement, coming from me because I loooove all things sweet). However, the cashier was friendly and I love Thai food, so I’m willing to give their food a try… I just won’t order any boba drinks next time.
