It’s OK… Just OK… Female bar tenders very obnoxious with loud conversations with each other complaining about other bars or previous customers. the Male bartender Cyrus was the only one with enough sense not to be pulled in those conversations… Ordered burger medium but came out well. for a Airport bar I give it an OK. Still have some work to do…

Stopped into Mike Shannons while waiting for my flight back to Atlanta. Interesting place but mostly a watering hole for travelers — thankfully they’ve got Goose Island IPA on draft — it basically saved me an hour of wait time before boarding. I’m not too sure about the food — the hostess wasn’t exactly rude, but I felt she was both bored and overwhelmed by the crowds waiting to be seated — that certainly has to be a thankless job. I asked to sit at the bar and she waved me on through — there was one empty seat and that’s all I needed. The bartender while busy seemed to have a better attitude.

I really don’t understand why airport food does not get any decent ratings, unless you are in a foreign country. I think people who rate airport restaurants have really high expectations and comparing it to outside food. I boldly decided to try this place out. I had the salmon cauliflower and couscous. It was a decent size salmon fillet and quite juicy with crispy skin, love crispy salmon skin, tastes very good. The price is slightly over $ 20, airport food is not cheap.

Slowest service ever! There’s a reason why the line is always out the door, and it isn’t because of the quality of food. If the staff was a little quicker on their toes I think they could easily accommodate everyone who wanted a bite to eat at Lambert. The beer is good and there are a lot of options on draft and in bottle, which is why it got two stars and not one. The water is also tastes very stale/earthy which isn’t a huge deal– but disappointing when you want something refreshing to drink. I’m shocked that they don’t use some sort of filter when serving to patrons. Overall– I won’t be back. Food is mediocre, water is disgusting and service is seriously lacking.

Stopped here before our flight. Great restaurant before we boarded. We were in and out in 45min, so if you have time, this place is worth a stop. I had the Bison Burger with Blue Cheese Crumbles and Bacon which was very good with the Fries. The BBQ sauce was good, but I would suggest ordering it on the side. My wife got the Buffalo Chicken Salad and covert it into a wrap and it was very good. the chicken was moist and the buffalo sauce was very good. Overall a good pit stop before we boarded our plane.

Stopped here on Sunday afternoon waiting for flight. Took a long time to be seated despite many open tables. Was seated at a table and booth soaked in water from cleaning, then asked to be moved which resulted in further delay and lack of customer service mindset from hostess. Waitress was awesome and quite helpful. Ordered Aviation Chardonnay(buttery and tart at the same time) and had a huge plate of dry pulled pork nachos. Nothing interesting about this place — except it was close to our gate. Go Rams!

I had a great experience! The gals behind the bar were so much fun. I had the pulled pok nachos and they were very good and a HUGE portion. I have no idea why the teviews for this place are negative and why a lot of the 5 star reviews are greyed out. I can only assume that some irritated travelers blamed their bad day on this place. I am from Denver and travel to STL quite a bit. Next time im on United, I will eat here again. Way better than the options in Terminal 2.

Overpriced, super slow, and they got everything in our order wrong, and that’s saying a lot considering we ordered two items plain off the menu. Staff seems really awkward too. Will not be back. Ever.

Leslie was great! The dry rub wings are amazing. More than amazing because I’m not fond of most dry rubs!!! The bartender made my special order drink perfectly. Special thanks to Leslie for looking it up on google for how it’s made. :))) will be our spot if we travel through again. I’d like to try the French Toast dessert next!

Unilocal was definitely right on this one, but there weren’t really any other options and I was starving, so I ate here. When I walked up there was nobody at the hostess stand, so I waited for a few minutes and just found a table in the bar area. I sat there for a few minutes when a waiter came by and gave me a menu. While I was sitting there I could hear the bartender loudly complaining about someone who had just left because they asked of condiment on the side but didn’t use it. She was loud and it seemed unprofessional to be complaining about customers in front of other customers. When my waiter came back over, I asked him if the salads were dressed and he said no, the dressing was on the side. I then asked about the steak salad and if there was a different option for cheese since I didn’t like bleu cheese. I asked for perhaps goat or feta instead and he said they had shredded cheese. I decided to pass on the steak salad and just went for the caesar salad. When it came out, I saw that they don’t even dress the caesar saiad which was annoying. The chicken was bland and I had a bone in it. It was the worst Caesar Salad I’ve ever had. I finally was able to flag down the waiter to get my check and it took him a while to give it to me. I got out of there as quickly as I could because it was awful. Don’t go there. You’d be better by just picking up a bag of chips from the vending machine.

This place is an insult to a legendary name, but seeing as the legend allow his name to be used for this poorly run, poorly staffed 4th tier establishment, shame on everyone involved. That said, this one is on me, Unilocal warned me that it was pretty much a bust, but so many people were in line to get in, I thought maybe someone had turned this place around. The menu was also inviting and of course we were hungry. The first red flag was seating, you have groups of 4 waiting, but you have individual people sitting at 4 tops. For people not familiar with restaurant speak, a 4 top is a dining surface intended for 4 people. I can tell you that any real restaurant won’t sit single people at a 4 top and require at least 2 people minimum as to keep seating efficient. In addition, these fat lazy slobs at the 4 tops sat there despite being done for nearly a half hour because I guess they would rather sit in a restaurant than at their gate. How about a policy that states you must yield your table after 10 minutes if groups are waiting. Well after about 40 minutes after showing up, we got the 2nd table that became available. I personally had the nacho’s. The menu advised, pulled pork, chorizo, cheese and a BBQ salsa. When it came to the table, it looked nothing short of marvelous, and then I noticed that it wasn’t cheese at all, but some kind of processed sauce. I also quickly realized that there was not chorizo present. And for a city known for BBQ, the pulled pork was void of flavor and the BBQ salsa had no kick. Out of the 4 of us, only one thought the food was decent, and mind you decent, not even good. I can only assume the airport is high traffic, so sales are steady, but trust me when I tell you that repeat business is not keeping them afloat. They are really going to have to overhaul from top to bottom if they ever expect to be more than an airport lounge. I’d also reccomend that the wait staff get to a place further than 5 feet from your table before they mumble under their breath that they hate their job…

Great atmosphere, but horrible service with rude employees. For those who like a drunk before your flight, go up a few gates to beers of the world

Haven’t had salmon that bad in a very long time. When I asked if the salmon could be cooked medium, the response was the cooks always cook them well done but she’ll ask. And to think I almost splurged on a streak! The lady across from me had a salad served in a stainless steel mixing bowl. It looked terrible!

The dining options in the St. Louis airport are pretty dismal, but I found a rare bright spot here. First off, they have a rather great beer list… I was duly impressed by the offerings(do note, airport pricing). I ordered a bison burger, but only after a conversation where I noted how many overdone burgers I’d had lately. My server said the chef was good and would cook it medium rare and even put a note in the system. Unfortunately, it didn’t come out very medium rare… she took one look at it, and took it right back to the kitchen. She even got me another serving of fries because she didn’t want me to eat cold ones. The burger came back absolutely perfect. I have to say, I was shocked to be sitting in the St. Louis airport, eating one of the best burgers I’d had in a long time and drinking craft beer. Not only that, I got a discount on the bill. Service above and beyond! I have to say that this place beats the«Beers of the World’ place hands down, on both beer selection and food.

Horrible filet. Tasted like charcoal fluid, someone had urinated on it or maybe it was rotten. I didn’t get sick but i’m still freaked out about the couple bites me and husband had. ugh. Didn’t even look like the pictures they deceivingly display in airport. Got a great marketing team cuz I was hoodwinked. Manager was no where to be found and I had flight to catch and couldn’t wait to discuss whether I should pay.

Typically overpriced for an airport restaurant but there are some unusual items on the menu and once I got food it was prepared well and tasty. Service is very disjointed but once they figured out who my server was I got a beer and a burger pretty quickly. I waited a good 10 minutes while they figured out who my table belonged to. I sat in the bar area. I had the big kahuna pork burger and a goose island IPA. I’d order both again. Get the service aspect nailed down and I’d give them 4 stars.

Agree with slow service. The wait staff walked around not recognizing a line of people waiting to be seated. It was difficult to get their attention to order and get the check. But otherwise I enjoyed the food. Must say that I like cocktail sauce and their Bloody Mary cocktail sauce that accompanies the shrimp cocktail was really good. I also had the Buffalo Chicken Salad which was very satisfying. Warm, juicy chicken in a nice buffalo sauce with sweet tomatoes, bleu cheese, onion all coated lightly in ranch dressing. Not cheap, but expected for an airport. I’d come back again.

Ate here when our flight was delayed. Ordered the wings and the 48 hour steak. The salad that comes with the steak was warm from sitting out too long. The steak was mediocre which was a surprise given the Mike Shannons name. The rice that came with the steak was over seasoned. The wings were the worst part. It tasted like someone rolled them in paprika and chilli powder(and not in the good heat producing way). I love spicy wings when the spices work well together and create a nice flavor. This was over seasoned to the point of just being spices for their own sake. They were also over sauced. Marcella was our waitress and she was great. Best part of the experience. Would not recommend.
