I read some of the reviews they didn’t seem to great. wow did I go some where else? I think the place is great. Think the food is really good the service is good a nice place to go with the family and not spend an arm and a leg. Just a thought maybe your server would be nicer to you if you are nicer to them. Taking care of people when it comes to their food is not the easiest job out there. for those who got a bad experience I would say give it another try.

Waitress was extremely rude. Wanted to take back salad that I ordered BC it had cheese(after I specifically told her no cheese) and she said I couldn’t get a new one BC I «touched it already». Yes, that is exactly what she said. Had to call the manager over, and she said she had no idea why the waitress didn’t bring me a new salad. Patrons behind me also complained about her rudeness! Food wasn’t even good. Won’t ever be back… ever.

Service is OK. Food is OK. Everything is literally just ok. I asked my server for lemon water; I had to ask another server again for lemon because the first didn’t get it. I ordered sautéed trout with red potato’E S’ and veggies. I could only laugh when I got my plate. I literally had 2⁄3 of one potato cut in 2 pieces on my plate. If you’re going to give me one potato, at least cut it up and make it LOOK like more. The trout was eh, but I choked it down. If you’re looking for main stream, quick lunch, stop, otherwise, I’d keep rolling down the road and you’ll reach better places in no time.

I’ll start off by saying this review does not reflect the food or service. This low rating is determined by the fact that I was verbally berated in regards to my parking in close proximity to Michaels restaurant. I parked on the street in front of the restaurant in a legal and public manner. A female service nicely informed me I could not park there and when we responded that it was public parking she then agreed. A man then walking angrily towards us yelled at us at how ‘unbelievable’ it was we would park in the street and park in front of ‘his restaurant’. While we were parking for a separate event, we abided by all laws. He then stated how ‘inconsiderate’ we were as to insinuate Michaels owned Manchester road. He made me feel very uncomfortable and not to mention this was at 10:30 am when I feel as if I was not effecting any restaurant business.

Michaels is so great. Their burgers with the soft cheddar cheese are absolutely the best anywhere. We always get their appetizer platter. It has everything like toasted raviolis, fried cauliflower and mushrooms, chicken wings and chicken strips. Their salads are really good also especially the Gyro salad. I haven’t had anything there I haven’t not enjoyed. I recommend it highly to everyone. Ya gotta go!!!

Love coming here with the family. At times they are always packed but we never wait more than ten minutes and service is always friendly and fast. I always get their salad & salmon dinner. My salmon is always cooked perfect and their salads are always on point.

Michael went to Michael’s on a lark, without reading any reviews and not knowing what to expect. It was all VERY good. I had the Greek Sampler, with spinach pie-with wafer flaky crust; Dolmades–(like a small cabbage roll but with grape leaves) stuffed with seasoned ground beef and rice, and thirdly –Pastitsio — layers of seasoned ground beef and tubular pasta topped with bechamel sauce. Much against my better judgment I also had a piece of 4 layer carrot cake. Great stuff. A busy place — so you might wait on weekends. Good service, too.

I like Michaels, but wouldn’t say I love them. The quality is just not there from what I have seen. We’ve been about four times the past two years. My wife usually gets the Greek salad with the grilled chicken. Tonight, the chicken was over cooked and very dry — I guess I shouldn’t expect differently. My daughter’s chicken tenders had a strange after taste. I think it’s because they were fried in the same oil as fish. My entrée was the sautéed orange roughey. I liked it – good flavor with olives, capers, etc. But it was a small piece of fish. We like the Avogelemmo(spelling) soup(lemon chicken noodle), but, when it’s said and done, I think the food is overpriced for what you get.

Love the gyro salad. They always have room even when they are packed. Lots of seating downstairs.

We have eaten at Michaels for over 20 years. Everything is very good. My favorite is the Michaels salad. Or the gyro salad. or the Lamb chops, or the pasta dishes. But truly everything is very good!

I can’t believe I’ve never written a review on Michaels this restaurant I remember coming here since I was a little girl and I’ve always loved the food this restaurant is good for so many things first off the food is so fresh the flavors are unique. I love treating myself to this place. So I always love to start my meal off with one of their Greek salads the feta cheese is so good and the dressing really compliments the whole salad they also give you a nice piece of toasted bread which I always get extra because it’s so good. Next I really like their appetizer platter their toasted raviolis by far the best I’ve ever tasted. The Wings have a nice flavor and crispiness. Some of my favorite items to order off the menu are the junior burger with fries which is an awesome deal because they cost like seven bucks. There is a chicken kebab dish with rice pilaf which is just amazing And if I’m really spoiling myself I get the filet mignon with the baked potato. I will say if you ever want to impress anyone you’re bringing in town please bring them to this restaurant Michaels will never let you down this is definitely one of my favorite restaurants to eat at and I make a trip to Maplewood at least once a month to dine here.

It seemed like a great night to sit in the patio! And it was… Until one-by-one, the bar patrons filtered out to smoke! It had been awhile since we’d been here. I forgot about that. Net time I will bring a sweater and we can sit inside with the impressive air conditioning. On second thought, I doubt we will return. They started«mickle-and-dining» every little change. Not the Michael’s we used to visit a few times s week. Even the food was prepped differently! Damn.

Miss C. and I went for lunch August 25. Lots of lunch specials. It was difficult to decide. Susan was our friendly server. Miss C. got a gyro, which comes with steak fries. She declined those. I got a Reuben, which comes with steak fries and slaw. I traded out the fries for green beans($ 1.50 upcharge). The slaw was vinegar-based. The Reuben had a good meat-to-bread ratio. I like more meat and less bread. Could have used more sauerkraut, which I do like. The green beans were sautéed, and some had a really nice black sear on them. Very tasty. The slaw was good and I would have taken it home, except it was too juicy, and I didn’t want that all over the half Reuben and green beans I took home for dinner. Miss C. liked her gyro and took home more than half of it. And on this visit. .. yes, we did have to run across Manchester Road to get to the restaurant.

This is an easy to overlook bar and grill alongside Manchester Avenue in Maplewood. I have passed by this place so often but never paid it any attention because I didn’t know what they had: Greek food! I love Greek food but I haven’t been able to find one nearby that I really like until Michael’s. We got in around 5pm and were seated immediately. The hostess could have been a little more friendly. The waitress came shortly after and took drink orders. I had a glass of their house cabernet and was ready to order the appetizer but she sort of just ran off. That was quite strange and I also don’t think she even introduced herself. I wanted to try their spinach pie so I got that for an appetizer. Unfortunately, the spinach pie wasn’t as tasty as I expected it to be. For my entrée, I ordered pastitsio and that was when everything started taking flight. Their pastitsio was so tasty and the portion was relatively big that I had to take half of it home. My dining partner ordered the Michael’s burger and really liked it. It was served with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles on the side and some fries. Overall, the food was great based off of the main dishes ordered, the place seemed well-kept, however, the service could use some improvement. I am going to give this place 4 stars based on their delicious food.

Great little Greek spot. I’ve been coming to Michael’s since high school for those crispy delicious wings. However, my eating habits have changed so I was able to try the hummus and my friend had the salmon and both were prepared to perfection. We also indulged in librations; the merlot and patron were poured generously, The bar maid was awesome with a winning personality.

We love Michael’s! The food is always amazing, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the drinks are great. Whether you go in for a meal or call in a take out order, Michael’s never disappoints. Dan loves their Michaels Chicken Sandwhich and I am a huge fan of their Michael’s Salad. The Dolmades and Spinach Pie are also excellent choices as well as the fried Calamari. I love that they always have new specials and believe me they do not disappoint.

I visited Michael’s on a Friday for lunch with several coworkers. One coworker has claimed that Michael’s has the«best burger in all of St. Louis»…and after joking around about«I don’t understand how a craft store can have amazing burgers» we finally decided to go to Michael’s for lunch and try their burger. The burger is REALLYGOOD, but not the best in St. Louis… The Block has the best burger, in my opinion. But Michael’s is less expensive than The Block, so there’s that… I would vote Michael’s as having as one of my top 5 favorite burgers in St. Louis. The burger includes chopped sirloin… which you can definitely taste, very delicious! There’s an array of different cheese’s you can choose from for your burger… I went with classic American cheese. And the waitress will also ask how you’d like your burger cooked(I like my medium)…and the kitchen did cook all of our burgers accurately.

The Michael Burger 10oz Specialty Blended, Charbroiled, Chopped Sirloin — $ 8.95 This by far is in my top 5 of All-Time Burgers! I have never ordered anything other than the Michael Burger(medium-rare) with Cheddar. Add a cup of the cheddar spread for dipping those thick cut fries and you’re a very happy camper. I’m not much for cheddar spreads but, whatever they do to it here is worth the price of admission alone. In regard to the atmosphere, this joint is tough to get into during the lunch hours. It’s clean, the staff is attentive and the menu is breathtaking. Your best bet is to belly-up to the bar and get ready for sirloin heaven!
