Liu Shun Wok is our favorite Chinese restaurant. We love the hot braised chicken and crab rangoon. My teenage boys want to go here every week.

Very friendly staff and nice location. We have been here twice now and the food is really good and well priced. I would recommend this place to others who enjoy good Chinese food

Liu Shun Wok has the best Hot and Sour soup in St. Louis, and even better, it’s vegetarian! Aside from that, the sauces are all authentic — you won’t find anything with the consistency of gelatin here, nor will you find watered-down, flavorless«sauce». I’ve lived all over the city, and I’ve been searching for a place like this since I moved back to STL over two years ago.

Tried this place after reading the reviews. Drive by this daily, they are pretty darn good fried rice is awesome! Pot stickers, and egg drop also well and the service was fast and polite. We will go back again think we found a good new Chinese place! They are a little«hole in the wall» place but those are pretty darn good!

Not a chain restaraunt. We had a wonderful experience with Liu Shun Wok carry out. We had 2 egg rolls that were crispy on the outside and packed tight with fresh tasting veggies. We split our main dishes, hot braised chicken and Mongolian beef. These came with a full order of white rice and we added a full order of chicken fried rice. It is hard to select a favorite from our dishes because both were just excellent, but I will give my nod to the beef since the rice noodles were great even after the fifteen minute ride home. The staff were so polite and seemed genuinely pleased to have our business. That is a nice feeling. We will definitely stop by often. Our bill for a large meal with plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day was just over $ 30.

Took the family there for dinner last night. The food was good, the service was attentive and the price was right. I also enjoyed their simple but classy décor. Orange chicken was very tasty and the crab Rangoon was tops!

This is a small restaurant whose chef has a big heart. The service, attention to detail, quantity and care are unbeatable. I asked them to make me a vegetarian dish that was not on the menu. I asked for something without oil, MSG and sugar. They made a delicious dish and I have been hooked to eating there ever since. I go to this restaurant often; whenever I desire the special dish they concocted for me. I strongly recommend trying this little restaurant. The food will just hit the spot.

Hadn’t been here in a while, so we gave it a try the other day. I thought crab Rangoon was good-perhaps they changed their recipe? Sweet & Sour chicken had green pepper, pineapple, carrot& onion(not just chicken nuggets). It was really good. And so was the rice. We’ll be back. Egg drop has scalloped corn in it – I was surprised by this, but it’s apparently traditional. It was good too – just something we weren’t used to. Friendly service.

Not sure if they changed their crab rangoon since the previous two Unilocaler’s reviews, but my boyfriend and I ordered two orders and they were huge with lots of filling. They were also very hot and fresh, unlike some Chinese restaurants where they seem like they’ve been sitting a while and rewarmed upon ordering. That being said, the crab rangoon were tasty and served to me after hours. I called to ask if they were open, knowing it was technically a half hour past their closing time, but the nice gentleman on the phone(who later served me inside the restaurant) happily took my order and greeted me with a smile upon my arrival to pick up my order. Though I haven’t tried any other dishes here I will say the staff is super nice, probably the nicest I’ve experienced at any Chinese restaurant, and the food is made to order and fresh. I will return to try something new in the future.

Pretty much every week we try to get Chinese food and I have been searching and searching. So far this is the best one we have had but still has some areas that could be improved on. The best little egg rolls… yummmy…the are great… Crab Rangoon — skip them here – what little filling there is —way too sweet… Two mounds of rice which is nice — My husband ordered me orange chicken not sure why because I always get Sweet and Sour(you think after 25 years he would know!) Next week I will make sure I get the sweet and sour so I can judge fairly… but this week the egg rolls earned them some high marks… You meal comes with soup also which I did not eat because again… I always get won-ton but for some reason the hubby brought two other choices home… probably so he could eat them both and he did and enjoyed them tremendously…

Good dinner combo. I had General Tso’s Chicken, it was a good quantity of chicken chunks that were not over battered, good flavor and seasonings, two big scoops of steamed rice cooked just right. Surprise find: hot and sour soup was great! Low point: crab rangoon, practically all crust with a little dab of filling.
