The wings and pizza are great. The pizza crust is the close to a New York style that I’ve been able to find in this corns of St. Louis. The staff is friendly and fast.

While walking back to my car from dinner, my eye caught the sidewalk sign proclaiming«Best Pizza in Soulard.» Note to self: come back later this week. Yeah, I am a pizza person. I will eat it all — chain pizza, supermarket pizza(don’t even lie, you thought Geno’s and the square pepperoni bits were awesome growing up), school lunch pizza. I do draw the line at Chuck E. Cheese. That is straight up cardboard man. I have had better paper product stuck to the bottom of my pizza. At Chuck E. Cheese, the paper product is the pizza. I digress… I had the opportunity to come back to Epic and ordered two pies — a four chesse and a pepperoni. Like I said above, the crust was crisp and sturdy enough to help the slice keep it shape while being devoured. The little chat on the underside is perfect. The sauce is wonderful — you can taste the spices and with every bite you get a small bit of the tomatoes that comprise the sauce. Cheese is warm and gooey. I will be back to try their wings and another type of pizza.(The chicken BBQ looks appealing.)

Went here for lunch with a co-worker. We each got a couple slices and shared an order of wings. The wings were solid and done well, but nothing to write home about. I got a slice of the buffalo chicken pizza and a slice of the Hot Hawaiian. The buffalo chicken left a little to be desired. It lacked in toppings and was overall kind of bland. The Hot Hawaiian was excellent. The ham and capicola were high quality, and the crust was the cherry on top. I live that I can come in and get a slice or two for lunch by myself. Overall, good not great, but the convenience and ability to get pizza by the slice will make me come back.

Ordered: French fries with Epic Sauce and Chicken Pesto Pizza(but we’ve gotten the White and Toasted Ravs pizzas too). I love that I can come here and go next door and get a drink at Italian. They’ll bring it to you there to-go or to eat there. It seems like the same guy always takes our order. A little bit of a dry personality, but always prompt and friendly. The pizza has always been great. And the fries are awesome dipped in some Epic Sauce. Great place to get some pizza. Highly recommended!

Epic never fails me. Perfect NYC style pizza that just simply isn’t available anywhere else in STL as far as I know. Having visited NYC on multiple occasions & eaten way too many slices… I’d say this is the closest it gets here in STL! In addition to their slices, love their Greek Salad too! Do it! Oh yeah, if you’re wondering what my fave slice is I will tell you… chicken pesto! The Bradley slice is also a fantastic option for vegetarians. Pistachio nuts are a great substitute for meat!

Epic pizza has always done me right after a night at itap, or most recently during Mardi Gras. Their pizza is crispy, like as in brick oven fired crispy. It tastes a lot like actual New York pizza to me. The cheese is melty and delicious. It is heaven on a plate after a few drinks and still very, very yummy even when you’re sober. I would strongly recommend it if you’re in soulard looking for a bite!

However the wings however are Delicious. They are supposedly wood fired wings which is why they taste so good. You can eat there which is a little laid back or you can walk to the back to the bar area which is a little more lively. location 5stars.

I ordered a deluxe pizza. All I received was a pepperoni pizza added with a bunch of cold veggies on top of it. The green pepper was cold. They are the only pizza place in the country that makes a slice of pizza and adds the toppings and serves it. They could at least run it through the fire it for a second. The bacon was pre made too. Meth heads run this horse shit establishment. They will make a sub par slice of pizza. I would rather eat at eat rite. Eat least I know I’m paying for a sub par time when I’m there. But don’t charge me 18.95 for a slice of pizza and some wings. Weird.

My husband and I joined some co-workers at ITAP last night and we all went in on some pizza. One had reduce, pepperoni and bell peppers. The other seemed to have a couple different kinds of cheese, pesto sauce and chicken. The later was definitely my favorite between the two as it was a bit more unique and it had a ton of flavor! Also, they have a trivia night! We arrive too late to join, but it sounded like a lot of fun!

I went out for dinner with a very good friend of mine, and we decided to go to Epic because it’s near where he lives. We ordered a Margherita Pizza because it’s just tomatoes and tomato sauce, Mozzarella cheese and basil. Their small pizza are really not that small, but we got the small one. The pizza tasted really good; if was a nice combination of tomato, cheese and basil until I got too much basil in one bite. The crust in the middle of the pizza was soggy because it seemed like they put too much sauce on it and the tomatoes on it really didn’t seem like they were cooked completely. I have had better pizzas else where, but this pizza would have been much better if the center part of the crust wasn’t soggy. The soggy crust on and otherwise good tasting pizza was a disappointment.

Ate at Epic on a Sunday night because we went somewhere else in Soulard that was too busy and we needed to get to ScottTrade. We ordered a large salad and two slices of pizza. The service is fairly slow considering they didn’t actually have to cook anything for our order. I got a slice of the toasted ravioli pizza. It’s not bad and is slightly reminiscent of toasted ravioli. The other times I have eaten at Epic I have been sitting at iTap with a beer buzz. It was ok but not quite as good on a sober Sunday night.

I live down the street, so I kind of figured(1) I could stand to wait to give in before trying Epic and that(2) when I finally did give in, there would be no way the pizza could live up to the hype. Well, last night, I finally gave in. Happily, the pizza lived up to the hype, and I wasn’t even drunk yet! I decided to go full St. Louis and opted for a slice of toasted ravioli. The crust was crunchy, yet chewy, and the sausage on top had a nice crunch to it. I don’t know how they did it, but this was probably also one of the least-greasy slices I’ve ever had. I didn’t even miss the pepper flakes I compulsively put on pizza most of the time. Oh, and price-wise, this was a steal for Soulard, which I am starting to find kind of expensive for eating out. Unfortunately(for my waistline), I think I’ll be going back.

I saw this place and instantly though, meh that can’t be good. But I’m glad I was wrong. Their pizzas are good and they usually do a lot of creative combinations with their toppings. I don’t think it’s on the same level as Pizzeoli but it’s delicious nonetheless. Added bonus: having a pint at iTap with a slice. Everything’s good with beer right?

First time here. Cute place. It gets crowded! I had the pepperoni pizza and I really enjoyed it. It’s not quite as thick as other New York style but it was delicious and I will return for more. The meat one looked awesome but I just was too full to try it. The double burger also looked really good. You can order there and they will deliver if you’re hanging out next door at itap!

Wing game is on point!!! Epic Pizza and Subs in Soulard won the Soulard Wing Ding competition last year. I was there but I was having too much fun and never made it their booth. Now I know why they beat Johnny’s! They fry the wing and then finish it in the wood fired pizza oven. The result is a crispy wing that has the same smoky charred flavor you love and enjoy on wood fired pizza. They finish the wing in a buffalo sauce that is made in house, slightly sweet but still gives you that heat that you need and full on flavor. Pizza game is on point too, doing its own thing!!! Pizza is NYC style, soft chewy crust, wood fired and slightly charred. Topping game is premium. Cheese game is straight up mozzarella. Sauce game is standard marinara; not sure if they make it in house but it’s delicioso. Overall, Epic Pizza lives up to its name and then some. I highly recommend it!

I’ve heard the saying, «Don’t judge a book by its’ cover» and found it to be true. I read many a good books that have had boring covers. I have now learned not to judge a pizza place by its’ store front. I’ve driven by Epic Pizza many times on my way to various other eateries in Soulard and have thought to myself, what a hole in the wall, their pizza can’t be any good. Lucky for me I finally looked them up here on Unilocal and was amazed at the high ratings from people I trust. So the other night when we were crazing pizza and a new experience we headed over to EPAS. Beware that on Monday they do not open until 5PM, the hours currently posted here on Unilocal are incorrect. We arrived before the their scheduled opening, but that is not a problem when ITAP is right next door. It was a good thing, that we did arrive early because talking to the ITAP bartender, she informed us that EPAS will deliver our food to us if we choose to eat on their patio. Trust me, this is a win. We went back to Epic and ordered chicken wings and their 16″ Epic Pizza. We had to go with the Epic, because it has all my favorite toppings; sausage, pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, onion and green pepper. It was cut into pie slices and we had two left over for breakfast the next. The toppings were plentiful and I always love a wood fired pizza. The only disadvantage of having them bring our food over to ITAP, was they delivered the wings and pizza at the same time. We would have enjoyed having the Wood Fired Wings served first. When ordering the wings I did not notice that they too are wood fired, which gave them extra flavor. They definitely earned a place on my Wings List. Staff is friendly and goes beyond customer service by delivering your next door. Lesson learned: Don’t judge a pizza joint by its’ exterior. You may be missing the best slice of your life.
