Family run business. Always fresh food as they only cook enough for the day. Reasonable prices and very friendly.

Today was a great day at the kusinera. Tokwa at baboy is on point. Lugaw is delicious. That’s what I ate while I was waiting for my catering that I ordered for my daughters birthday party. Reasonable prices and it taste great. I don’t recommend a lot of catering places but this restaurant deserves 10 stars. The owners have that TLC attitude. Come in and try this restaurant. You won’t regret it!

Homey little place. The menu changes everyday and the items aren’t always labeled. Ordering was a bit confusing since I wasn’t sure how the combos worked(I didn’t see any sign for the cost). I ended up ordering crispy pata and a small side order of pancit. Both were delicious. The crispy pata took around 20 minutes since they were making it fresh and it was perfect. The pancit was also really good(a bit on the salty side but I like it that way). There’s only a few seats indoors but they pack up the items very well for to-go orders. The ladies working are really nice which is always a bonus. Will definitely come again! Edit: Came back again for lumpia and pancit. The lumpia were cheap and great but the pancit this time was a LOT saltier. I still ate it but I’ll be more skeptical about ordering it again.

Came here to get lunch because I was craving some comfort food. It’s a cute, little hole in the wall place. Super clean and they are super friendly. I had the Pork Asado with rice and it’s delicious! Reminds me of my mom’s cooking! Definitely coming back!

We love this place small and friendly staff, I’ve tried several of their dishes and so far it did not disappoint us… Rellenong Bangus(stuffed milkfish) is the best! Embutido(steamed pork roll) is awesome, Kalderetang baka(spicy beef stew) is the bomb! they used the right meat for the dish did not skimp on the type of beef used. Glad found a hidden gem in SLZ, we don’t have to go to Union city for some Filipino dish cravings. This is a small Mom and Pop steam table place right across SLZ High… They even have Student meal for $ 2.50… Try the«silogs» the Tapa, longanisa and Tocino are excellent too! Tinolang Manok, pork Sinigang, Crispy Pata, pork Sisig, Bopis, Menudo, are awesome not to mention for those who are craving for some very good and clean ISAW this is the place to get ‘em ;) make sure you call and reserve ahead of time… I have recommended this place to several of my friends and now all are happy to found this place close to home… Thus, the NO set menu does not bother us at all that means all the dishes are cooked fresh all the time… The Sylvanna and Turon is very good too! Price very reasonable and good size servings too!

Food is too salty. Not a lot of selection. Forced to buy water or soda. Its a typical karenderia. Not so exciting.

I am glad that they are a few blocks away from me. I love their crispy pata. Do not like to drive to Union City just for the Cripsy Pata. Good to know I can satisfy my craving more often now.

It sucks. I couldn’t eat all my pansit. Too much garlic, salt and onion. menudo is ok. Overall, the food was salty. The only thing good about the place is the water.

They are my favorite filipino fast food place. It’s clean and I trust them. Too bad they close early and I don’t get to have dinner there after work.

Best Filipino food in town so far and believe me, I’ve checked them all out in Hayward. Got the beef caldereta, pancit and veggie lumpia. All was excellent and the owner was the one that assisted me so she was very nice and helpful. Just amount of flavoring in all the dishes. Will be back for sure. I’m glad that I stopped by, it’s a little whole in the wall but that where I notice where the great eats are at.

Finally came in to check out this spot. Very homely and the ladies are nice. Only downfall is they don’t have a menu and they cook different food every day. It’s a small place with a few tables inside and out. Had pancit and pork, wifey had rice and beef with a side of lumpia. Definitely quenched my filipino cravings but wish they had more choices. This place is close to me so I’ll stop by again for sure.

I was actually happy to try this place because its nearby our place. the food was ok & it was a little pricey and service oh that’s another issue. it was a 7 or 8th yrs old girl that was ringing us up and OMG. that was horrible. I would probably & call ahead & order some sisig bbq for pick up.

I don’t usually get Filipino food, because I can easily really go to my mom’s house or aunt’s house and get served a feast. But I was far from home and craving Filipino food so I thought I would try this place since is my apartment close by. The food is decent and the price is pretty reasonable. I’m only giving it a 2 star because of the amount of food served & the customer service was a little blah. I got the rice and beef steak but had them separate the rice and dish(I don’t like it when the soup sits on the rice for a long time) and the server rolled her eyes and started talking to the cashier in Tagalog about I should be charged more. So basically, I got charged an extra $ 1(half the price of my meal lol) since I wanted an extra container(the paper take out boxes), which I didn’t mind. But I was sitting there while she said that with attitude, in Tagalog(I understood it perfectly btw). I don’t mind paying the extra dollar, just don’t give me attitude for it, right? Granted, I came in around 12 ish where there are other high schoolers in there(I’m 24 and probably look like I’m 14) but customer service is still customer service, whatever age group you’re serving. But… I’ll give credit when it’s due and the food is good, very cheap but they don’t really give you so much(so comes out pretty evenly), but at the end of the day, I would still recommend this place.

I ate here yesterday for the 1st time, had the Menudo, Sinigang, Lumpia, & Rice. They don’t really have a set menu, but oh well the food was good and totally worth it. Make sure you come here on an empty stomach, because the food will fill you up. Tita & Rosalee were nice, restaurant small.

Kusinera doesn’t have a set menu(or didn’t when i visited). everything is day by day-featured on the steam table. ordering is from the steam table. eats: beef Singiagang? –sour soup with beef on bones, veggies –sharp tart taste, everything tasted fresh –chicken, seafood options too, different pricing –rice had ruff texture,. –mystery aftertaste 3.5 stars for value. take outs: –bihon, soup, and another entrée visible –no menus, pricing, visible. –across from San Lorenzo High in old commercial center

Place is cute. We had daing(fried lightly milky fish), bq sticks, garlic rice, filipino scrambled eggs, and two can drinks. Excited for upcoming laing, pinakbet, halo halo, etc. Across from San Lorenzo High school & near home. To be continued. …
