I second everything everyone else has said so far. Nice variety of rugs(you can see his inventory online), and excellent prices. Randy’s a really nice guy who knows a lot about rugs and likes what he does, and loves sharing what he knows, and seeing his rugs go into homes and being used. If you are going to go see him, and are interested in particular rugs, tell him which ones so he can make sure to have them available to show.

I found Randy on Unilocal so it’s only fitting that I write a review for him here. I’m very happy with my purchase — the whole experience with Randy was so fun and memorable! My husband and I were looking for rugs for our new home. We were looking for something special because it’s the first place we are able to furnish together, our first«grown up» place. After looking at Randy’s website, we made an appointment over email. It’s not like going to a rug store — you will be meeting with him in person so it may take a little coordination of schedules. And weather is a factor. Since we live close to his storage unit, and we wanted to see the extent of his rugs, we decided to go to him. I understand he also is willing to bring rugs to your home, which would be a bonus if you’ve done your research and want to see how specific rugs work in your own house. Randy was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. You can tell he loves rugs and the culture that goes along with them, a true collector. He brought out about 20 rugs and displayed them right on the concrete drive in front of the storage unit! I’ve been to rug stores before, and never had this reaction, but I liked at least 90% of them! In other words, I could have purchased a lot more than I actually did. We bought two 5′ x 9′ rugs and we absolutely love them. They changed the whole feel of our house. Thanks, Randy! Things to know before you go. –Make sure you check out his«Devil Dingo Planet» link, which goes to a Picasa site with more photos. These photos are more up-to-date. –Make a list of rugs you like from the website to give Randy an idea of your aesthetic and dimensional preferences(and budget). –Allow a little extra time for scheduling, especially if you work M-F. –Bring cash or a check. PS I’m going to put«moderate» as the price. However, be prepared that handmade rugs are not cheap. I think Randy’s prices were very reasonable, considering the quality.

I got my rug from Randy and couldn’t be happier with it. He was extremely helpful, and worked me me to find exactly the one I wanted. He has unique selection of tribal and persian rugs that are sure to add personality to any room. Did I mention the prices are great? Highly Recommend.

I can’t recommend Randy enough. He brought a bunch of rugs to our home so that we could try them, and he was really helpful as we made our selection. His rugs are authentic and he has a pretty amazing selection. We purchased two rugs from him and we love them both. He was incredibly patient(we are really indecisive) and he’s just a really nice guy. You can’t beat the prices too!

Randy is fantastic! You know how it’s kind of intimidating, overwhelming and extremely expensive to buy a nice rug at a rug gallery? Randy takes all those pains away. He keeps an up-to-date photo gallery of his available rugs online, and then brings the ones you think you might be interested in over to your house(anywhere within the bay area — SF, Peninsula, East Bay, Marin) so you can see what they look like in your space. It’s the perfect solution to buying rugs. Oh, and did I mention that they cost far less than you’d pay in a store? Total win-win! Plus, he is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, with lots of interesting stories about his world travels. Highly recommended!
