Our motorcycle group stopped by for a Saturday lunch. It’s one of those places where you place your order at the counter and they then deliver your meal to the table. Most of the tables are outside and have umbrellas for shade. Our group had the California Burger, the Bacon Burger, Turkey Burger, Chicken Salad, Chili dogs, basic burger and other entrees. The burgers were great(in the«messy, but good» category). The Chili Dogs were immense with lots of chili and onions. Everything was very good and the portions generous. The owner and staff were friendly and courteous and went out of their way to make us welcome. Everyone had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their lunch. A great spot in San Juan Capistrano for some good old American cuisine!

Great spot for a juicy burger! We took our Spyder club here and they got us all fed quickly. We do a monthly lunch ride and are picky about our dining choices. Tasty bacon avocado cheeseburger for my husband and a cheeseburger for me. That also have tots and sweet potato fries, as well as salads and hotdogs. We will be back. It’s well worth the ride from San Diego.

Was first attracted to the OC Grill for their hot dogs, that are very good; however, came back for the burgers that are excellent! Had the Bacon Avocado Burger… delicious and a great alternative to some other local burger spots. Add some of their crispy, tasty tots to your order to complement your meal! Owner and staff are great guys. Will be back!

Great food and great service. Awesome to see a locally owned and operated shop that cares about the food and the customers. I had an awesome burger that they lettuce wrapped for me by request and a cup of the soup of the day.(Tortilla). Everything was very fresh and great tasting. Will def return.

I love their hamburgers, fries and onion rings. This is the best hamburger in the area with Bravo Burger coming in at a close 2nd. The Riders Club is over prices and really do I need a beer with my burger — NO! I got the original for $ 4.99 plus an order of rings for $ 2.99. Go to Bravo Burger if you want a lot onion rings for your money. Get either the fries or tator tots– can you believe it! Well this place may become my Saturday go to lunch spot. Sorry to my Greece place:-(

Great food! On our way to Dana Point and traffic was horrible so we pulled off to grab something to eat. Would come back again. We had cheeseburgers, salad, fries and wrap. Thanks!

New owner is great; fixed the ‘flow’ problem, streamlined the menu, and made this place so much easier to visit. Ingredients are top shelf; great crunchy dogs, and baked-in-house artisan buns. Fries are fresh cut, and better than In-n-out. I think prices were lowered, too. Condiments and napkins are now available to customers without having to ask at counter. Trying to be a weekly visitor. Well done, sir.

First thing I noticed as I was waking into this place was that it smelled like a sewer inside. Normally I would be fine if it was a different slightly funky smell, but the smell of mold/sewer and just all around bad smell at this restaurant made it so uncomfortable for my fiancée and I to even stand at the counter and order food. We both just looked at each other and knew right away that this place was not going to be good or comfortable to eat at for that matter. I will not be returning to a restaurant that smells like mold and like sewer! Even the ninja turtles and splinter wouldn’t eat here!

Smelled like gross mold really bad after first walking in we left to go to somewhere else in the area! Totally not going to eat in a place that smelled gross and like it was trying to be covered up with something else. Bookmark REMOVED!

Great burgers & friendly staff. Tried this place for the first time looking for burgers. Tired of Bravo Burgers’ so-so food and terrible service. OC Grill acknowledged me as soon as I stepped in. Easy to order and gave suggestions for the kids. My wife really enjoyed their turkey burger. I had the bacon avocado burger, good size and tasted great. Bacon was crispy with little fat, just the way I like it. Their fries were okay, nothing special, but we did do take out so that could’ve had something to do with it. Definitely going back, this is our new burger spot.

I’d give this place a solid 3 stars. I ordered a bbq chicken salad, my friend got the bbq bacon burger. My salad was a normal salad, nothing extraordinary. In my mind I’m comparing it to Bravo Burger down the street, that’s what I usually order there. I prefer Bravos salad over OC grill, this place is $ 2 less though so the comparison probably isn’t fair. If someone asked me if I want to have lunch at OC Grill or Bravo, I’m gonna choose Bravo. I was still hungry after my salad. The restaurant looks clean, I like the outdoor patio. Nice selection of iced teas and employees were nice.

The wife and I decided to give this place a try and overall it was solid. Easy parking, good outdoor seating, friendly service. Only thing missing would be cold beer. Hot dogs and beer just make sense. After the owner let me have a taste of the chili, I went with the chili dog. Bun was more of a roll. Soft like a traditional bun, but held together well so no need to knife and fork my dog. Chili(no beans) was legit, nothing mind blowing but good flavor and made the meal more substantial. Good amount of onions, good amount of cheese. Would have loved more and maybe had it thrown under a broiler to get it melty. Delicious nonetheless. Wife had the Chicago dog on a poppy seed bun. Was very happy with it, especially the neon green relish. Finally, the tots. Look like standard tots, but the oil it was fried in was the perfect temp and clean, no weird burnt or old flavor going on there. Perfectly golden brown and served hot and fresh. Might do the chili cheese tots next time. As I said, solid just wish I had a beer to wash it all down. Would also be nice to see more dog options. Maybe rotate in a special dog like polish, kielbasa and whatnot. We’ll be back soon.

First, let me say thank you for having a hotdog restaurant in San Juan Capistrano. I love hot dogs. 3 stars? Here’s why. 1. not having a condiment bar or a place where I can just grab some extra mustard, ketchup or maybe even some relish. 2. the hotdog was slightly burnt. I was able to taste the bitterness of the burnt sausage skin. 3. the hot dog bun(white bun) was fresh but the crust on the bun was slightly chewy, that made it feel stale at first bite. But the freshness did come thru, a few bites later. I would love to have the bun smaller. Or increase the size of the sausages. The bread/sausage ratio was a little off balance. 4. The small size cup for the soda fountain was… really small. 5. The onions. It was an identity crisis. Was it grilled/steamed. Not sure. It was hot but not quite cooked all the way… It was not caramelized, that’s how I like it. grilled onions should be caramelized too bring out the sweetness. That’s when good becomes great. It FELT more like it was steamed… But served before it was fully done. Had black peppers for seasoning(actually liked the black peppers). Likes: A good selection of toppings you can put on. The tater tots bowl was tasty. Clean dining area. Suggestions: create a masterful condiments bar, have more variety of sausages, do not serve burnt sausage, fix the chewy buns. Increase the size of your drinks. Check out a few other hotdog restaurant. Try the Hot Dog Haus in Pasadena. I want this place to be a success. Great addition to the neighborhood. Will be back to try the other wonder creations. Thanks.

Really good! The dog is so big and very filling. Chicago dog was bomb. I added sauerkraut and it was amazing. Fries were very fresh too! You can choose from over 10 different mustards. Staff was friendly and the owner was the one that took our order. Great experience! Service was fast and accurate on our order. We will be back soon!
