Near the University and across the street from Pizza My Heart this fine food establishment attracts a distinguished crowd that prefers this place to the numerous other spots nearby. Perhaps the hours or the price or the Jack mascot logo lures patrons in. Maybe the unbeatable price on two tacos or a slice of cheesecake seals the deal. The delicate tastes and textures here in the food are undeniable. A super spacious dining room and no judgmental looks if you walk in with a few in ya. This will make you feel comfortable. A fancy soda machine with hundreds of options for you soda snobs out there — pure class. McDs apparently closed so the big competitor of this place shut down. A solid late night food option.

They have the most imature and selfish parking lot regulations. Security held me and my car damn near hostage until I bought something from here. La Victoria Taqueria is next door and there is never any parking. This Jack NEEDSTOBECLOSED for the sake of the university and the downtown communicty. Worst Jack ever.

Terrible place. If the druggies weren’t here it would be a decent place for college students.

The food was good at Jack In The Box. I recommend it. Good fast food. Close to SJSU.

The cashier was so impatient and rude when I was clearly trying to look for something to eat on the menu. «Next in line… PLEASE». A little attitude! I got 4 tacos and chicken nuggets and the same guy only gave me 1 ranch. I asked for another and got a total of 2 ranch. This place leaves me with a ranch deficiency. One star.

Smells like piss when you enter and you have to walk passed at least 5 druggies just hanging out Side the doors like its the thing to do. Protect your valuables and never make eye contact and you might make it out alive.

Not the best Jack in the Box. I come here often because it’s close to SJSU and it’s a cheap and quick place to grab lunch or a late night meal. The workers here are weird and try to make conversations with you, but it’s just awkward — they make weird comments and questions & it doesn’t make me very comfortable. Eh this place is located downtown so there’s always some homeless people outside and inside the place & they sometimes ask for money and stuff. But this place is open 24⁄7!

Kudos for being open late, but the tradeoff is having to walk through thugs, homeless men, and pot smokers to get in the door. Shadiness.

This Jack in the box is located right next to La-Vics and SJSU. The wait for 4 tacos was 25 minutes, and only 2 people in front of me, when I received it, it wasn’t even that hot. I dont understand what look them so long. Also along with the renovations, it still felt dirty and disgusting. Definitely a last resort kind of place, and be careful, lots of homeless outside this area, but cops do patrol.

Jack in the box is my go-to place for drunk food or morning-after-drinking food. Stuff I love: — Curly fries — Churro bites — Cheesy bacon potatoe wedges — All their milkshakes This location specifically is located right by SJSU so that’s convenient if you go to school there. It faces the street so parking can be kind of difficult. I’ve gone there multiple times around 1am and it’s pretty crowded at that time during the weekend — no surprise. The customer service here has been great, for me at least. I always ask their opinion about what I should get and they always indulge me with recommendations and my order comes out quick. Warning: Again, be aware of what time you choose to come because there are plenty of rowdy, drunk college kids or bums.

Even after the remodeling they can never get rid of the homeless problem here I find myself passing by twice checking out if it’s safe to go in. So far I haven’t gone I. The last 3 times

The ratio quality/price is excellent for an American breakfast.

The food here tastes way better than McDonald’s! Plus, the portions were worth it. The cashier was extremely friendly and knew what she was doing. Sure, it’s located in a ghetto area, but on a Saturday, it wasn’t too busy and was nice and quiet.

I order a #5. They give me a number #3. Thought it was my mistake. Went back a 2nd time, ordered a #5. Received a #3 again. They told me I said #3 which I was careful not to. Let it go a second time. Will try a third time soon and keep you posted.… 3rd time worked! Ordered #3, and received a #3. Oh wait — I keep wanting the #5 instead — Doh !!! New expansion area gives people more space to spread out, so there should be less brawling in there now. Oh yeah, do NOT go in the back parking area after sundown, unless you’re ready for whatever is going on back there.. . Aug 2015: Hella good mushroom buttery jacks

I would have given four stars because Jack in the Box is a good fast food place but I had to knock off a star for this particular location because of the ghetto feel and crowd who circulate this one. The restaurant itself appears run down and there are a lot of shady people around that make it feel unsafe. Foodwise I love the curly fries which have some kind of seasoning on them that make them so good. They’re also really crispy. The sirloin cheeseburger is also worth getting. It’s pretty juicy and I liked the bun it was served in.

While the food here is general Fast Food fare, the employees here make it worth coming every time. The first time I came here, I was shocked by how nice they were since I’m more used to the rude workers at every other fast food chain. The smile and actively clean the place. They have to deal with all the late night druggies and hobos as well so props to them! Also, they sell the munchie meal all day.

Seriously, especially at this location with the amount of drunk college students and interesting customers and etc that come around the staff are just amazing for a Jack in the Box. I mean no matter what time or how wasted, the staff always has a smile on their face to greet you. Take your order and doesn’t question you and guide you to the right decision for that midnight hunger. They take orders quickly and are always ready and the food comes out quickly as well and pipping hot. Mm, the munchie box is super legit especially for six dollars and a big enough meal for technically three people+ a drink. They don’t skimp when you ask for extra sauce and condiments. They let you use the bathroom regardless of if you’re a customer, but don’t take advantage of their kindness. This location does come with a parking lot and a terrible stink, but you learn to ignore it. There is a time limit for sitting down and eating time, but usually majority of people get to go. It’s a good Jack in the Box and with all the people that come to this location, they never run out of food– never run of anything that I want to order and they open so late and for so long. Props to this location and its staff!

I think the people who work here are simply awesome. They are all very courteous and friendly. I’ve been here many times and have always had a good experience. Every time I’ve eaten in, I notice one of the staff pop out from behind the counter to wipe down the tables, trash cans and even polish the glass. As I write this, I’m watching a cashier go through a stack of trays and wipe each one down. You can see all the way back into the kitchen as well – it looks pretty darn clean from where I stand. This sort of thing matters. The menu is the standard menu – it’s done to a manual and is like any other Jack In the Box– so what this place has to show for it is the results of people who take pride in keeping up a place for those who pass through day in and day out. They’re what keeps me coming back.

Pros: 24⁄7 Lots of parking Cons: The less fortunate people that visit this establishment No self-serve soda No drive-thru Restroom requires asking for a token, no paper towels So why 4 stars? Because it’s 24⁄7 and you can sit down and eat!
