One of the worst buffets ever. $ 30 for two plus a drink and pretty much nothing was fresh or edible. Be prepared to crack a tooth on their hard«pizza» or experience a horrific aftertaste after trying their white«fish». Don’t come here if you’re looking for a decent filling meal. I’d put that money toward any other restaurant instead.

First I went to the roast beef, it was overcooked and dry. Furthermore, I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come out to cut it. The meat was so overcooked that the knife they had at hand wouldn’t cut it and I thought the poor lady trying to serve it was going to have an aneurysm. So, I gave up on that and tried the ribs … wow… they were hard, dry, and cold. So, I decided to make nachos, and of course all the chips were stale. At this point I just left, and on my way out I managed to get a manager to discount my meal with no argument. The manager was completely understanding and sympathetic, which made me feel that even she knew how bad the food is. The staff was friendly, just really bad at operating a restaurant. In short, you pay $ 12.50 a plate it’s basically overpriced 3-day-old left overs. Only a fool would eat here. Think about it, for $ 11.00 you can get all you can eat at Su’s Mongolian! Which is were we went directly after. tl;dr: $ 12.50 for cold leftovers.

My favorite is the meat loaf, just like homemade! Complaints? Maybe that they have too many desserts to choose from!

I tried to contact the manager directly, but couldn’t find any contact info on the website. We went for dinner tonight at 5:00. You’d think they’d be ready at 5:00. No glasses, no plates, practically no food!!! Only about 1⁄3 of the items had more than ½ a serving. The food eventually started appearing and they ran out of silverware. We went back to the desert area and all they had was cheesecake. Isn’t this supposed to be a buffet? In the ladies restroom the floor was covered with paper towels and toilet paper. Trash cans were tipped over. Paper was sticking to our feet as we tried to leave. This is the poorest run restaurant I have ever been in. It cost us $ 25.00. What a waste!

Well, Leave your ivory tower @ the door! This place is a calm and friendly place with good service all around. Think as if you are going to your grandmas house for lunch. Your kids can jump around and play with the many deserts they have made freshly for each course. While you can choose from the healthy salad bar with lots of varieties what you think fits best into your diet. Plus there is the soup with all sorts of biscuits that go well with the gravies and mash potatoes. If you are a pizza guy — then bring your loose fitting pants! There are different types of fish, meat and chicken prepared in various ways. They change the food plates as often as possible to keep the food warm and fresh as well as bring utensils and plates ever so often. So what I can say this place needs is Warm milk. That would be the cherry on top! In addition to an international plate, which could be changed every once in a while. Like an indian week, an arabian week, a mexican week, an asian week, and so on and so forth. I would like to mention names of people who work here and are ever so kind in helping your stay be as delightful as possible: Helena, Carlos, Hunter,

I would give this location negative star ratings! Horrible place!!! No plates, no silverware, no cups!!! And it was even a slow afternoon so there are no excuses! My family got here at twelve and waited 1.5 hrs for semi cold taco meat to come out of the kitchen. Shredded lettuce was swimming in water at the taco bar! Not even edible because of how wilted it was. Our table was never cleared the entire time we dined in. The mashed potatoes were so runny it almost slipped off my plate walking back to my table. Just a disgusting place! Avoid this location!!!

Pros: Friendly ground floor associate(I forgot her name but she was awesome!) and the food was plentiful and decent –I loved their mash potatoes! They were sinfully good! I also liked the size of their establishment; the mirror in the back(behind the dessert area) did make the room appear bigger with its reflective magic; however, said dessert area could’ve been better. Cons: It was so small and the only ice cream that was available was vanilla –the toppings were sad too. Also, the drinks that some of my friends and I sampled, particularly the Root Beer and Sprite, were just carbonated soda. No actual flavor.

Really this place has gone down the tube. Finally got a breakfast coupon for breakfast. Haven’t gone all summer. Walked in on a Saturday morning & this place was EMPTY. Sitting around waiting for good. Tables with lots of empty plates. I only see 1 girl waitress. Food not being brought out. A lot of food missing. A lot of people standing around waiting. Staff doesn’t seem to give a crap! This will be my last trip here #disappointed

We were at this Branch yesterday 03/Aug/2015 and everything was great. We bought two dinners and it was by far one of the awesome experience we’ve had in any of the hometown buffet outlets. Their potpies are to die for. We will definitely return next time we’re in town!

If only I could give no stars… So we decided to pop back in for Father’s Day. We hadn’t been to this location in maybe about a year or so, and our usual place to go was the Westgate location until it closed down. That was the best one around. Anyways! Father’s Day. Yesterday. We went in for dinner, and the ambience was pretty nice. We were looking forward to the shrimp, ribs, roast beef, the ham… We ended up paying $ 60 for the four of us, and that was without drinks. Good God.(Oh, how I remember the times when the price included the beverage…). After we paid, I had a rather uneasy feeling in my stomach as I started browsing over the food. All of it looked dry, or if not dry, absolutely /swimming/in whatever sauce or broth it was in, and not in a good way. Everything just looked really unappetizing. We asked the lady at the meat carving station when the roast beef would be out, and she told us that they didn’t have any. It was Father’s Day. And they didn’t have any roast beef. Um, what? We weren’t sure if she meant they didn’t have any at the moment, or if they didn’t have any at all, but seriously. I’ve worked in food before. You have to have stuff ready to go so you don’t run out, especially on a holiday. But I digress. Then we saw the ribs come out… they were pale little clumps of meat with jiggly glops of barbecue sauce on top of them. Okay, nope. Not gonna happen. And the butterfly shrimp? I mean, I know it’s not gonna look exactly like in the pictures but these things were the size of a quarter. Not even worth it. But the ultimate kicker was when they brought out a new batch of macaroni and cheese, they put the dry, old, crusty macaroni and cheese from the /previous/batch, right on top of the new batch. I can understand FIFO and using the product that’s already there, but there also needs to be common sense to just throw away the product that is already there if it looks like it’s past its prime. So, ultimately and needless to say, we asked for our money back. Our server, Sarah, she was really sweet, and I felt really bad for her. She was the best part of the experience(and if you see this, thank you, sweetheart!) She called over the manager, who we definitely weren’t too impressed by. We barely got out an explanation before he agreed to giving us a refund, practically shrugging and going«okay» before walking back over to the register to start the refund. Then, after he’s done with the process, decides to disclose that it won’t be back in the account for another two weeks or so. And he couldn’t give us cash(which I think is BS but, whatever…). Awesome. Out $ 60 for the next two weeks on food we didn’t even eat. TL;DR don’t go here, don’t allow your friends to go here, don’t even allow your enemies to go here.(Your ex, maybe.) But we’re definitely not patronizing this HTB ever again.

Terrible! I haven’t eaten there in almost 10 years and today cemented the reasons why… Terrible food, everything tasted like there was msg in it all to make you eat more. Very overwhelming and in the end a bad stomach ache when only eating a little food.(And I’m a big eater for only being 175lbs) Terrible customer service from the employees who were replacing the the food. Terrible bathroom! I felt like I walked into a run down truck stop bathroom with all the graffiti all over the counters and walls and just being a complete MESS! Who has a buffet and doesn’t have a working ice machine for the sodas?! Waiting for a guy to use dirty buckets to dump ice into the thing and having everybody wait is stupid and disgusting! You make enough money per day to remedy this issue! After today, I will NEVER eat there again. I’ve never been impressed and never will. To end this, I literally threw up everything I ate there! Seriously the worst food I’ve had in YEARS! The last thing I ate that was this bad was Hometown Buffet 10 years ago!

This place is empty. and now I know why! The food is old and stale! I’m sure it’s been sitting there longer than health department allows! I’m not even gonna give this 1 star in fact I wish there was an option to give this negative stars! All in all its a bad experience. I feel like I’ve been robbed! Really??? I can’t post unless I give it a star??? Ok. I guess… but only cause I want this review to go public. But in my opinion this dump gets a –5 star rating!

I remember, my friends and I use to eat here in middle school. The food was great, great deserts, great meat, and it wasn’t really dirty as all these people are saying. Although once I remember when I saw someone exiting, a Mexican mother of 3 had her child rush to the door to hold it open from the outside, so that she could go inside to eat for free. And management didn’t do anything about it.

The staff were kind and very attentive when I went to the buffet today.(But, one time a server was awful sarcastic to me and I tried really hard not to say anything snarky back due to being with my family). BUT. Nothing much changed about the food selection whenever I go here from time to time.(Just an FYI.) And, the only problem I have is the ice cream machine. There was only one time that it has been working just fine. But majority of the times when I went — it still works horrifically.

We paid for a buy one dinner and get a second one for $ 2! What a bargain! Our total was $ 15 and some cents. Our ribs fell off the bone and the rest of the food tasty! Our server was very attentive and wrote down her name on our receipt. She was also prompt to take away any plates we finished. The manager was the one who cut our ribs for us and even came around to check on our table. This location have amazing workers. The service here was beyond my surprise and earns great attention for their hard work. Thank you all of your quick and friendly service! From beginning to end, we had a wonderful experience.

I pretty much never go here or any of the other HomeTown Buffet locations anymore for several reasons. Food selection isn’t all that great these days compared to past years. Previously, fountain drinks were included with your lunch/dinner, but not the case anymore. Prices have gone up and are even more expensive on special holidays like Thanksgiving. It’s really not that clean or else the interior and décor of the restaurant and restrooms could really use a nice facelift! Doesn’t look like it’s been renovated in years! Personally, I’d rather go somewhere else for buffets, like Sweet Tomatoes, where the selection is much better and is maintained well.

Eaten here from time to time and I never think of it as anything more than edible and filling. The really bad thing about this place is the cleanliness is just horrific. I had a knife that was dirty, went back to the utensil counter and nearly every other one I picked up was dirty too. A little old lady standing beside me was there for the same reason and she just looked at me and said I just wipe them off with a napkin when they’re too bad. Time to call the health dept.

Went here on Christmas day 2014. They were charging $ 14.99 per person. Place was busy. As a vegetarian, I found lots of items that I could eat from. Had an actually really good meal. Made some concoction of a bread roll with butter, mashed potatoes and nacho cheese on top. You have to eat this open faced. Tasted really good. Picked up some desserts and topped them off with hot fudge. My only beef is with their original bathrooms. They are really neglected. I remember them from when I was a kid and this was over twenty years ago. So Home Town… it’s time to update those banos. Other than that, you saved my Christmas and I’ll see you sometime in the near future when I need you again.
