Dolmas tasted like they’ve been sitting in a jar of old vinegar. Salty and old lunch. The only thing edible from my $ 19 lunch was the pita bread that came with the lentil soup. Cashier rung up a couple of customers with the same gloves she was preparing orders.

Over priced for the meat quantitiy. I took a chicken shawarma plate to go. and the ¾th of the box was rice. I do not expect to pay $ 14 for rice! The chicken itself was cold and a little bland. They have a lot of sauces. So if by chance you end up going to this rip off. take a dip. albeit you will be forced to.

Alright, it is high time for an update, because this place seems to be improving :) Prices are still pretty reasonable for what you get, and the falafels are still delicious. For reference, I’m a vegetarian, so I’m really just reviewing the falafel options – omnivores who aren’t into falafels, you’re on your own. The #9 Falafel Wrap meal, my usual, has definitely improved over the past year! The fries that come with are a thicker cut(not shoestrings, but not wedges) and are nicely crisp on the outside with a fluffy interior. Even one of my coworkers who typically gets the #3 Gyro Meal(and likes it a lot, btw) has noticed the improvement in the fries :) I appreciate that the fries come out with minimal salt for those who don’t like salt, but there are salt shakers available in the condiment area for those, like me, who douse their fries in salt liberally ;) The wrap itself seems to no longer be swaddled in excessive amounts of flatbread, which is great because it was annoying to have to peel off a whole layer of the stuff before to avoid having bites that were primarily flatbread – I’d say it’s actually good as is, if the last two times I’ve eaten here have been any indication! Also, it feels like they’re putting more good stuff(falafel & eggplant) than lettuce filler in the wraps these days, which makes me really happy :) The location is as neat as you can expect for a self-bussing place, so it’s still good to go early to beat the rush etc., and the outdoor seating can be nice in good weather. The cashier is really the only staff you’re likely to interact with; so far, they’ve been pretty straightforward and nice. The TV is usually set to a cooking channel, with occasional instances of news or sports channels. Overall, great place for lunch(I’ve never been here for anything else), and I will probably miss them terribly when my office moves and it’s no longer conveniently located to me. But until then, I will be back!

2.5 stars. Rounded up to 3… Disappointed in the Greek gyro & fries I had as I always go to Athena Grill & got spoiled by their good value dishes & flavorable garlic fries for similar prices… There was very little veggie in my wrap & the fries are just regular French fries … I was surprised this place has 3.5 star rating… I guess it had to do with comparison with other restaurants nearby… Place is clean & next to Starbucks which is good for lunch with coworkers during work days.

I was not satisfied by this experience, and will not return. The food is overpriced and the service was sub-par. I ordered a sandwich which listed exactly the ingredients that it would have in it… when I got it back to the office and started eating, I was frustrated to find it was covered in hot sauce. Not what I ordered, and beyond that, just wasn’t impressed with the food overall.

Worst middle eastern food in the bay area. They should shut down this place. Got cold dry and hardened shawarma. Only found out after i reached home and was too tired to return it back. The quantity was miniscule to way they charge. Ridiculous

Worse than McDonalds. It’s hard to screw up simple food but they succeed. The hummus is runny and watered down, bread is very processed and tastes like baking powder. Falafel has no taste and is not freshly made. Soup tasted ok but luke warm.

ordered a lamb kabob plate with a greek salad substitution. lamb was overcooked(well done) and chewy. i did not receive the salad substitution that i asked for. there was a piece of beef kabob also on my plate, which was unexpected. food was decent otherwise. cashier asked how much ice i wanted in my pineapple juice which was nice of him. will be coming back due to proximity to home and lack of nearby alternative options.

Place used to be quite good, crispy fries and smooth sauces. This time around fries were soggy and friend’s rice was undercooked, tzatziki sauce was grainy. Granted the other parts of the meal were good, falafel and gyro, but it seems that quality is becoming hit or miss. On the upside I do like how one can swap out fries for dolmas, and just found out their peach drink is quite refreshing for the summer heat. I hope this places picks up their quality otherwise they will follow the dodo. Rents are crazy around here; sucks to have all apartments and no restaurants nearby!

Not even worth one star! The beef is terrible and doesn’t even taste like beef! This is for sure not good Arabic food. The place isn’t very clean either. I see health violations.

I ordered a gyro. The meat was really dry. The sauce had that«sitting out too long» taste or it was on the verge of going bad. I came in before the lunch rush, so I just feel bad for everyone coming in after me. This was across the street from work and I came by since it was convenient. I think I’ll make the trek to a more worthy falafel places next time around.

This place is a solid three stars. The food is decent enough and the price won’t make you feel like you’re overpaying for the quality of food. That said, the taste of the food is hit or miss. This restaurant feels like a place that doesn’t really are about the quality of the product they’re putting out, only that they’re making enough money to maintain their lease. I know it sounds bad, but I don’t see any real effort translated into decent food. Price range: Between $ 5 – 9 a plate. I ordered a Beef and Chicken Kabob combo plate and a Hamburger. Ended up costing me ~$ 15 or $ 16. Food quality: 3 stars –The beef kabob was good. Tender, juicy, very flavorful, well seasoned. –The rice was soft and the texture was pleasant, neither too hard nor too sticky. –Chicken was dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. Like trying to eat leather. –Hummus was just bad. Liquidy and bland. Would I go back? Maybe… err, if I had no other options. Perhaps.

This used to be one of my favorite places to have a quick Chicken Shawarma wrap. Unfortunately, they have deteriorated significantly in both their quality of food and service in the past 6 — 9 months. The food has become less flavorful and a lot more oily. I once had oil dripping from my wrap. The service has also become pretty bad. The last time I was here, they had a new cashier who quite understandably did not know how to take care of substitute orders when I asked him to substitute something. When I got my dish, it was way off from what I’d ordered. Instead of apologizing and correcting the mistake, the other cashier tried to tell me how to order from their menu. I have been here enough to know what I want and hot to order it. I will not be coming here again. The food is not worth the bad service.

We ordered beef shwarma sandos from here today, they were okay. I’m not sure if its the sauce or the spice on the beef, but there was too much nutmeg or clove spice in there. My beef shwarma wrap tasted like Christmas, mm not a good look. I’ve eaten here plenty of times before and I can’t recall it tasting like this. Maybe they had an off day. The wrap combo is a good bang for the buck, when then make it right.

They don’t respect call in orders after confirming and giving a estimated completed time. My order was not entered in until I arrived here. They failed twice on me which means they don’t know how to run a business.

Zzzzzzzzzz… Basically to sum up the wait as I went to order and there was no cashier. Someone lined up behind me and after a few minutes, the guy came in through the front and gave a half a** apology and couldn’t follow the simply request. I ordered to-go and ended up getting a lunch tray. Ok no biggy since I wasn’t in a time crunch, I dined in there So I ordered the falafel plate. Taste, flavor and portions were all there. The falafel patties were like hush puppies; had a nice crunch and a mild spice. I mixed it in with the hummus, and tabbouleh into the pita; I’m no expert on this type of ethnic food but I found it to taste real good. Never tried tabbouleh before but I kinda liked it. The food was good enough to warrant a return trip, IMHO. Will I go back here? I would but after dealing with the sorry excuse of a cashier, I think not. Would have left a few $ for the cook but didn’t want it to be split with the entire staff.

I ordered the falafel wrap with eggplant and veggies, which costs more than the falafel sandwich. When I got home I saw that I didn’t even get one piece of eggplant and the tahini yogurt sauce was coating everything even though I asked for none. The falafel itself was okay, nothing I’d come back for again. I asked for hummus instead of fries. The hummus was okay, but the pita for it was so stale, you could barely eat it. Way too overpriced for this lack of quality or caring.

I went to Mission College and this was my favorite place to eat at. Their food is soooo yummy. and all the vegetables are super fresh. Love their baklava too! i LOVE everything they have! I am more a fan of their chicken tho. BTW — the staff is SUPER wonderful. I came here so much it’s like they became my close friends! I will always support this place.
