If i could give a negative review i would, i should have learned my lesson from the first time we visited this place, the guy in the cashier(elijah) and the manager are both dumb and stupid. Me and my wife went here to eat breakfast and this place wasn’t even busy when we place our order, then 15 mins later the cashier asked us if were waiting for anything. Sorry to say but i lost it. This place SUCKS. I would not recommend this place to anyone i know.

I love the food, however the quality(heat and presentation) of the food could vastly improve. The customer service is nice. The area is clean. And it’s a wonderful way to support my people’s business. If only the quality of the food improved(temperature and the tastes of being fresh).

I don’t know why my mom likes to get food here — but that’s the only reason why I come here — but never again. Today — I caught the manager on duty on a lie after I complained about my order was taking too long — 40 minutes long. Since I had been waiting the last 30 minutes patiently for my order I finally went up to the counter to ask(which lasted 10 minutes). for the first 30 minutes I was observing the manager eating chips and a drink. Each time I saw her put chips in her mouth — I would count the number of times her fingers would touch her lips. I would also count the number of times she would wash her hands. Let’s just say — washing of the hands never occurred for the 30 minute duration I was watching her. But I saw her eat her chips numerous times.(I wonder what Department of Health has to say about this). And in that time I would watch her prepare food orders. Of course when she started to prepare my food — I complained and asked if someone else can prepare my food and I told her why. But she replied — I also washed my hands each time she ate. I told her I was right there watching you all the time — don’t lie to me when you have made someone wait for 40 minutes in front of you. Become a better a liar or at least be brave enough to admit to your mistake. OMG — A) this place should be shut down or this person should be fired.

The quality of the food is on the decline, they are often«out» of menu items, and the staff act like they don’t want to sell/serve you anything. Cross the parking lot and go to Happi House, KFC, or anywhere else instead!

I’ve tried their food, but I only enjoy their taho. I come when they first open their door at 8am. The taho is warm and just seems more fresh. In fact, I eat it with a straw because the taho falls apart easily. The customer service is also awesome! The lady who helps me in the morning just makes my day.

I’m not proud of this restaurant at all… specially their manang who side comments all the time in a negative way like… Meron ba tayong… so the kitchen will say, Meron! Then the manang will say BUTINAMANMERON! OMG! the food is decent enough but if you have a negative person yelling in the morning like this, it destroys your beautiful morning with all the negativities…

Never spending another cent here. The quality of service has steadily declined since its opening, and I’ve had enough! I try as much as I can to support Filipino establishments. I keep coming back here even though the service is slow and my order is usally missing something. The wait for your order has always been rather long — about 20 minutes for food that’s already prepped and just needs to be plated and served. They do have descent food here. I usually come for their silog plates and fried chicken. This afternoon, I came for their taho dessert drink. They had just filled a huge order of taho that wiped out all of the soybean that goes in the drink. When I ordered it, the cashier said it would take 20 minutes for the taho. I said ok. Then she asks if I am sure. I said yes since I am ordering food & dining in. I’ll have it for dessert. The cashier then goes to the back to ask if they’ve started making a new batch yet. They hadn’t, so she comes back to me now saying it will 30 minutes for the taho. I said ok. I’ll order one. Then she loudly announces to the cooks in the back that I am WILLING to wait for it for 30 minutes. So I wait my usual 20 minutes for my fried chicken combo. When my name was called to pick up my order, I confirmed with the server that my taho will be ready in about 10 minutes. She said yes and that they are cooking it. 45 minutes had passed since I placed my order and my taho was still not ready. They said another 10 minutes, so I patiently wait another 10 minutes. After which, I went back to the cashier asking for my drink, and she says the soybean is not setting and is still not ready then offered a refund for it. I waited an hour to not get what I really went there for. I took the refund. She didn’t even apologize for the poor service. Btw, I paid by credit card, and they couldn’t credit the amount back on my card so they had to give me cash. It’s obvious they didn’t start making it as soon as I ordered it, because I read that it does take 30 minutes to make. I wanted all of my money back! Anyway, I hope this establishment reads the reviews here. Maybe they do, but they don’t care since the customers keep coming back regardless. Not me! Not anymore! Their food is not that good.

I was just here today, and the girl who was taking my order(I won’t name her here) was horrible. I’m not expecting world class service from Chowking, but this girl was rude. I had to change my order AFTER the transaction was done because the item I originally wanted wasn’t listed anymore, but I asked & she said it was available. I worked in food service, stuff likes this happen all the time, no big deal. However, she was like«Oh it costs different.» Then she looked up the cost & turned around to the cook & said in Tagalog«Just do _____instead. The cost difference is just .10 cents, I owe her 10 cents.» But in TAGALOG. What she wasn’t counting on was that I was born & raised in the Philippines & speak fluent Tagalog. She looked at me after she told the cook and said everything was okay. I was like«Where is my 10 cents?» Yes, 10 cents is 10 cents, I’m not a cheapskate, but that 10 cents is still mine. Its a matter of principle. The food was for my Grandparents, I didn’t have time to wait around for a manager, but will be calling this in after reading Brian N’s review, about having to ask for his change as well. I have noted the time & this girls name. She was also talking bad stuff about the customer who just left. Calling her all kinds of names in Tagalog. «Supladang mayaman. etc. etc.» She was just rude with no class. Plus the food is just ok, but its what my grandparents wanted.

First of all they have 1 bottle of sriracha for the whole resturaunt which is like… Wow! Haha and that bottle has like a ¼th of hot sauce left in it. And that bottle stays at 1 table! Beyond the sauce, customer service was wack for anybody thats not asian. Also, the portion of food was smaller than the«thought to be» steal of a price. Overall this place was a huge letdown and now I have the bubble guts. Seriously… Like before I even finished my meal I had to use the bathroom.

It’s a convenient place for me to get a quick meal. I’m here way too much so the manager and employees know me. The food is decent and Halo Halo is pretty good. My favorite was the 2 piece spicy crispy chicken, w/sphagetti, side of rice, gravy and a medium drink all for $ 5.00 dollars!!! However, the menu has changed a bit. They no longer offer the chili powder on their crispy chicken and the sphagetti is no longer available with the meal(only pancit now) and the crispy chicken kinda lost quality as it is not-so crispy anymore and greasier than before. My new favorite is the salt & pepper pork Lariat but it seems like the combo is not as filling. As for customer service, I can kinda agree with other reviewers but I also see customers who act like they are top notch sh*t and speaking kinda disrespectfully to the workers. However, I personally haven’t experience this from them. Maybe it’s because I’m 6’1″ 220lbs and usually coming from the gym with only a tank top when I come here to get food lol. Or maybe I’m just not rude to them so they aren’t rude to me. Overall, I’ll still come here. This is not a 5 star restaurant so don’t expect your gonna get that service and quality here. Decent«FAST food» with decent price. This place is not any worse than getting food from McDonalds, Burger King or Jack in the box in the area with young ghetto teenagers serving you your food. NOTE: Please bring back the spaghetti side and bring back back the Crispy in the Crispy Chicken!!! Thank you.

Wish I could put no stars. I payed $ 8 for a $ 6.99 meal. She didn’t even give me my change until I asked her. The food was NOT what I paid for. It was just a box with a little bit of noodles and rice. Would I eat here again? Only if my life depended on it.

Ordered the tocino meal. It was pretty good and the service was nice. The only down fall was the Thai Ice Tea. The boba was really mushy, not even formed into a ball. The ice wasn’t even ice cubes, it was crushed ice and made the tea watered down. I’d suggest ordering it without the boba.

Food is awesome. Cheap, and tasty. I LOVE the garlic chicken, and arroz caldo. Just like the other reviewers stated, the workers are VERY rude and service is extremely slow. We asked for garlic rice instead of plain rice and the cashier rolled her eyes and gave out a big sigh. WTH? No need to give us attitude for just a simple request. Anyways, I will definitely come back to get my garlic chicken and arroz caldo fix, even knowing their service is horrible. :)

Cashier is such a drag. C’mon its breakfast time and you’re supposed to lighten up the new day on this bright Sunday morning! Cashier, Jan/John? must’ve had a long, eventful Saturday night. He forgot to give me the cup that comes with the breakfast, and he’s the one who persuaded me to upgrade so that I can get a drink for the same price… Even though due to his lousy customer service, I was pretty impressed how quick the food was made to order because my mom and I did order 6 dishes to go. The Silogs are the best way to go if you’re not familiar with the Super Filipino breakfasts.

I don’t really have high expectations for Chowking, but with that said I still thought the food was worse than average. I had the pancit palabok and it was ok, but I’ve had better pancit palabok at say, Red Ribbon, and I don’t have high expectations for that place either. I also tried the tahoe and that was actually pretty awful. The tofu was so grainy, it was horrible! I’m willing to go back and try the rice plates.

I think this place deserves a review update from me! Went here recently because I was craving silogs! SERVICE: Food was prepared fast compared to my previous visits here. The lady was really nice and patient with me as I stood there trying to decide which silog combo to get. FOOD: I ordered two of their bangus/tocilno silog combo to go(6.99 each, reasonable enough for tocino AND bangus!)… I love variety when I eat, so this choice was perfect! The tocino was really good and the bangus was on point with that vinegar! Their garlic rice is alright, but I wish they’d stop serving their eggs like that! LOL. I’m fine with a messy looking over easy egg as long as I can taste something! OHHH and, They also sell bags of frozen siopaos here. They’re really good! I was kinda bummed out when I didn’t see them out!

We came here the other night for dinner because some friends were craving tocino. I’m used to my silogs having the over easy eggs so I was disappointed to have scrambled eggs with my meal. It makes sense to have scrambled since it holds up better over time, but I would still prefer to have it with an over easy egg. The tocino and the bangus were good, though. Not the best I’ve had, but what else can you expect for fast food? The halo halo was pretty good. I’d come here for their drinks over their food. Will I be back? Probably not. It was definitely a let down.

They got the BIGGEST halo halo I’ve seen in the bay. Not only that. it’s cheap! Everyone should try their king size halo halo, everything now will be considered small. So why the 2 stars? I waited for my halo halo for 25 minutes! Sometimes it’s 5 minutes. Ordering food here can be ridiculous too because sometimes you can wait 5 minutes or the longest time i had to wait was 45 minutes. This was just lunch too. Remember Halo Halo kingsize.hhmm.

I love this restaurant… INMANILA! After reading some of the reviews, I was reluctant to enter this little establishment that serves billions in the Philippines. I figured since I just came back, I’ll give them a try. Now I know why they have a rating of one and a half stars. That’s what I’m giving them. If they want to come close to the real deal, here are a few observations that might help them improve and get up to par: –Service here is a lot slower than at SM Mega Mall location –Language is the same, but English might be helpful for non-tagalog customers –Politeness is there, happiness isn’t –The pancit bihon was too greasy –I’ve had better broasted chicken and silogs –The asado siopao was just alright The menu seems to be a lot more limited at this location than those in the motherland. Maybe I liked the Manila restaurants more because that’s where they originated, and it was a lot cheaper with bigger portions. I expected more from this location… since there’s one in almost every corner in Manila.
