Whoa, crazy to find out that this place closed down! I used to come to this location a lot when I was younger, but since they opened up a chain in Milpitas I guess business started going slow for them.

Food is okay and fresh. Good selection, too. Staff are friendly. Good amount of seating, but parking is crowded and tight due to the fact that there are way too many businesses, mostly restaurants in the complex.

Great food sometimes, which is why i’ll still give them 2 stars, but staff and managers have the worse attitudes. All I did was simply ask a couple questions about their food. The funny thing is when they believe you don’t understand tagalog, but too bad i’m fluent. Nice try.

No manners. No please or thank you just«sign». They appear to give you the smallest portion size… and it’s overprice. No wonder they are doing so poor with their business. Bad customer service, small portion size, and poor choices of food. Plus, the food wasn’t so warm.

Two of my favorite desserts in one delicious-filled container: puto and cutchinta. This review is solely for those two items, because the last time I came here was back in… 2006, I think? I remember trying a drink(I don’t remember what was in it, all I know is it was ube, and it was delicious) and their giant dumplings with chicken, I think. I seriously only remember being happy because whatever I was eating/drinking was damn good LOL. But anyways, I’m SO happy that I only live about an exit away from this location! I had no idea until last December, I think… so I spent an entire year of missing out on my favorite delicacies because I didn’t even realize how close this place was to me! I was shocked how CHEAP it was for a huge container of puto and cutchinta… around $ 10, if memory serves. At first I only wanted a small container, knowing I would devour everything in one sitting, but the price was hard to beat. And the last time I got to enjoy cutchinta was probably two Christmas’s ago when my aunt bought some and I nearly cried tears of joy. I’ve attempted to make both on my own on multiple occasions… okay, they weren’t BAD: the recipes I(attempted) to follow left me somewhat satisfied, but nothing compares to the real deal! OH, I totally forgot about their LUMPIA! SO delicious! Something I completely forgot to try the last time I was here… I’d like to try more of their items in the future, but I have a feeling every trip is just going to leave me walking out with arm-fulls of desserts…

Oh how I wish they didn’t close the one in Sacramento. I love the variety of their dishes and the food. Their cakes and desserts are yummy. One I just love the Silvana. This is a cold wafer with buttercream frosting. It may sound very sweet but I assure you it is not. These bitesize morsels are heavenly. This place has a decent size seating area. Customer Service is 5050 depending on who you get who serves you. Treat them with respect and they will treat you the same in return. Their Birthday Cakes are so delicious and not on the Diabetic Side(in comparison to american birthday cakes) They have one side of this canteen style restaurant is similar to what you may call buffet but they have a server placing your choice menu items on your plate. The other side of the establishment is for desserts where you can order your cakes. Word of advice. Their closing time publish isn’t what time it appears to be. The staff will start preparation to close 1 hour before closing time. Meaning if you want to order what you see on the buffet line is what you get. #pinoytime

The best location in the South Bay! I think it has been around longer then the others but it’s got the nicest people, freshest looking food even though they all use warmers, and are so accommodating. I made a last minute order for a party size tray of lumpia on a Manny Pacciao fight night(might as well be a national holiday) and the lady let me in 10 min past closing! And she was so nice about it! There is a reason my family has been coming here for years. You can’t go wrong for Filipino fast food here!

Worst F … in food, I ever ate: Think warm over cafeteria style food and then server warms it up in the micro wave. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Chicken Adobo — Chicken had no flavor overcooked to RIP. Adobo sauce was water. . Garlic Rice — Good portion but tasteless BBQ Chicken — A non Asian can make this better. = $ 10.05 March 25th … What a rip off. I should have eaten at Costco for $ 1.50.

Everything here is overprice. Food looks like it’s been sitting out forever. Don’t recommend.

My childhood memories come alive every time I visit this place. I know it’s not the best considering given the name, there is no indication that Filipino food is sold here. I just used to love coming here just to look at the cakes. When I was a kid, I used to get cakes here. My absolute fav was the choco roll. Ridiculously decadent & moist, the choco roll is amazing! I always loved tasting the sweet chocolate frosting filled inside. They also sell an array of lunch & dinner meals– kind of like the lunch line at school. Anything from pancit to the palabok to the BBQ, the food reminds me of some of the home cooked food I had as a kid. Today, they had $ 1 special on their brownies & polvorone. Score!!! Today was definitely my lucky day. Other than that, I really like this place. It’s just that they’re on the pricier side.

Found hair on my food and the old lady at the cashier was being bitter about it. She was pushing the fact that it was not from any of their employees when the bowl of soup has only touched my table for only 3 seconds. She didn’t even wanna give me a new bowl to begin with. I don’t know why this place is always super cheap to giving their food. My mom asked for a bowl of ulam and the other old lady gave her a bowl good enough for a 3 year old. And she was being asked to pay $ 7?! One of the worst places to have breakfast/lunch/dinner at

Agh, this place is so good!!! I went in for dessert, and asked for turon(which they didn’t have :(, sadly), and I got Banana Q instead. I was not disappointed. It was great! But my friend got carioca, and please believe me when I say that it was ABSOLUTELYPHENOMENAL!!! Y.U.M. I definitely need to go back. Another friend of mine got halo halo, which I kept looking at. It looked enticing. I can’t wait to come by again!!!

I bought a cake for my Indian friend because her daughter was sick. The next day, she sends me a picture(I uploaded here too) of the ube cake with molds inside. I am SO embarrassed. Please Goldilocks, make sure that all your baked goods are fresh. You just ruined your name to my friend and all her friends.

Customer service: they are a bit rude here. They don’t smile much and they ignored me for a little bit and took super long to ring me up, even though there were about 2 other people… Food: the food is a little too oily and fatty here. It’s crazy how one dish can have that much oil. Because I’m Filipino I’ve tried these dishes before and I’ve never seen so much oil to be honest. Bread/pastries: this is the reason I gave it at least two stars. The bread and pastries never fail me!

Rude customer service! Walked in. No greeting from anyone. Was looking at the menu board, a worker kept walking back and forth from the back to the register without acknowledging me. I didn’t mind since I was still deciding… but when she finally said something to me it was not hello… She rudely said«ready?» So I ordered. Then the cashier was also rude. No greeting as well. Just told me the total and grabbed my card out of my hand and slammed the receipt so I could sign on the counter. I know it’s early but damn! I didn’t do anything rude to anyone. All I wanted was tocino. No complaints no nothing. He didn’t even say hAve a good day or anything.

my husband only eats the Goldilocks version of puto so I decided to drop by this place when I was in the area. The place wasn’t crowded at all although they had extra tables of prepacked baked stuff and precooked pancit, bbq and stuff for those who are buying it for the holiday meal. I ended up buying puto/kutsinta, got me a 1-item lunch meal and a couple of things. their hot food table were not that impressive. Not much food items to choose from. the food also didn’t look that appetizing. I ordered their sweet n sour fish with rice — it was pretty bad. I also got their fresh lumpia for to-go, not good either. besides the garlicky sauce, it was pretty bland. Now I understand the reviews weren’t great for this place.

There are so many Filipino people in San Jose. Anyways, we ordered a big order of fresh lumpia, which are egg rolls with pork, mystery meat, and mystery vegetables inside. Why does no one know what’s inside? Does no one care about what they are eating? I guess not. Goldilocks also sells an awesome tiramisu cake, plus a red velvet cake and purple cake. We got the purple cake for my friend’s birthday. The cake was A-OK. I liked the purple color, but that’s about it. It didn’t taste quite like a cake. The cake tasted like whipped cream with a side of sizzurp(Purple Drank) and wafers. The buns are awesome. My anaconda don’t want none unless you’ve got buns, hun.
