We roll by here at least once a week. Cheap and fast way of getting my Chinese food fix. They are normally there from 11:30 to 12:30 and you can always call in your order ahead of time and miss the line.

«Human style cooking» as it says on the menu. Go for the basic Chinese lunchfare. I like the simple wonton soup – pork and ginger freshly made dumplings in a soup that could use a shot of spice or salt, but doesn’t leave you with an MSG-ish hangover. A full Chinese menu on wheels that makes you want to challenge the husband and wife food truckers with an order of Kung Pao Chicken, French Toast, Mongolian Menudo and a Polish Link, just to see if they can do it. For those of us lucky enough to work on the Bay’s edge amidst gaggles of tourists, loading and unloading onto Alcatraz bound ferries, we pay the price with very limited or pricey lunch options, and are glad to have this as an option by the waterside. The dingy, dreary walk down the belly of Pier 33 to find the truck might make you wonder if you will be abducted along the way, but it’s a solid $ 7 lunch. (Just don’t look up, whatever you do.) The truck is there 5 days a week M-F.
