Its an inexpensive place to pick up a decent burger; they aren’t gourmet but they are good and have a number of condiments to choose from

I have eaten here several times and each time I leave not really satisfied or totally dissatisfied. Pretty much everything on the menu is eatable but it is like everything just kind of misses the mark. It is like they leave out some key ingredients. The concept behind the restaurant is great it’s just the execution is lacking.

It’s a smallish place with a basic American flare menu so don’t expect to be swept off your feet. The burgers are good to great and the price is right. It’s best feature is the condiment and fixins bar with BBQ sauce, sour kraut, lettuce two ways and more. The patty is cooked over open flame them you get to decorate it as you like. ⁴⁄₅ stars because it’s an affordable, tasty and open late place just down slope from the Castro theatre with bottled brews.

I don’t know what all the bad reviews are for. I was happy with Slider’s. I was walking around the Castro one day and stumbled upon this place and was a little apprehensive because it seems a little ghetto, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the larger burger and fries and dressed it up exactly as I like at the condiment bar and it was good enough. It definitely wasn’t the best burger I’ve ever eaten, but it was flavorful and juicy. I noticed some people complained about the fries being bland. They were, but when I salted them, they were pretty good.
While I wouldn’t go out of my way, I would definitely come back!

Just saw a story on local news. Health department has shut this Slider’s down due to cockroach infestation. I’ll be buying my burgers elsewhere.

I definitely understand that Slider’s does not serve the best burger in the land. I also recognize that their fries are a bit on the bland side. I can even admit that their toppings bar has watery lettuce and a lot of toppings that don’t really make sense on a burger. Yet, even with all of that, I still always end up here when I am craving a burger. I just can’t quite handle the overly juiciness of, say a Super Duper, on the regular.
Pro-​Tip: In a to go container, mix the mayo and BBQ sauce for the ultimate condiment.

Eh… just a burger. Fries were nice and hot, not greasy, but my burger tasted kinda burnt. It’s one of those places where if you really are hungry and need food, it’s fine.
But it’s nor something I’d wanna come back to.

Ate here a couple times because we got a Groupon we thought was for another place. Very disappointing food. Low quality. Bad fries. This place has such a prime location it should have better food.

Rude service! It was dead I asked for mustard they said condiment bar, then it was out so I had to ask again, then I asked for bathroom code, wrong code… The guy acted like he was put out by my questions, I’m just trying to get service in a dead place, I almost reached in and took my tip back, it felt like being at a place where they are gay haters.

I was looking for a meatless vegan option, popped in to ask about their veggie burger and the guy says there’s «probably» cheese in the patty. Womp womp, but to my surprise they have a «tofu burger,» so we’re in business.
Customer service is fine, not at all rude, but I wouldn’t say warm either. Love the giant TV, I can always catch the local news or Hells Kitchen or something lol.
Now I’m ordering a tofu burger, so I know to gauge my expectations, but still, it’s always pretty dried out. First time I had it, I smeared a bunch of the Dijon from their admittedly cool lil salad bar of fixings, just to moisten/​flavor it up. Except it’s actually spicy or horseradish mustard or something and my sinuses get annihilated. a label on that would’ve been nice. I ordered avocado on it once but it didn’t really help, still dry. I’ll echo what someone else said too and say the fries are standard. Won’t at all satisfy a craving for some really great fries, but are fries nonetheless.
Also, just nitpicking, but the salad bar really is mostly a salad bar. You have your lettuce tomato, onions and pickles for burgers, and then everything else is just loose corn kernels, red beans, and whatnot – not really anything else to jazz up a burger, but again, its a salad bar so what can I expect.

Stopped by because I was in the area and I normally avoid this place due to rude service, but I needed something quick and I just thought I’d give them another try. To my surprise, there’s a new owner who actually understood great customer service! So for those of you (including myself) who have avoided this place due to bad service, give it another try. Food is still a decent lunch spot.

Quick and Easy! Just slip on in after a humid seat in the darkened corners of the balcony seats at The Castro Theater, or if you’re not up to being fully stuffed at The Sausage Factory but have a bit of a hankering! Great systematic service and you get to watch the guys handle your meat from beginning of your order until they hand you your plump buns and hot meat. Mmm… mmm! You can decide on what to drizzle slather on and in it at the condiment bar. Good grub Guys!

Just downright RUDE. No respect from employees for customers. I politely asked to use restroom and he rudely deferred. Poorly handled. Mike would not be happy. Boo. My partner ordered chicken strips where they charged him but didn’t have any. Great service guys. NOT!

BBQ pork fries, side salad with champagne vinaigrette was delicious along with a American slider. Definitely will go back when I’m in the area.

First of all, «Slider’s» is a total misnomer. It’s sort of a one burger fits all approach that is certainly not slider size.
Went here after a night out thinking it would be the perfect, greasy late night food. Wrong. Service was fine, it was fairly cheap, but wow — the epitome of mediocre. They give you a big flat burger on a not super delicious sesame bun, and you «dress» it up yourself from the basic condiments buffet.
It wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t good… and I’ll mention again, this was AFTER a late night out. Wouldn’t have taken much to impress.
Anyways, if its your absolute only late night option, maybe do yourself a favor and save the calories.

Best burgers i’ve had in a long time! (sorry whizz). Love the self-​decorating-​your-​burger thing!
French fries are good: not great, not bad. Service is fine.
Beware: even though its in the Castro; annoying children are (often) inside.

Maybe if you weren’t drunk and understood there was no avacado when you were told when you ordered, and I gave you your money in your hand, not thrown in your «DAMN FACE» like you say, and it was $ 7.00 not $ 10.00, I see you didn’t mention YOU stole someone else’s burger… so you actually got your money back AND a free burger.

An decent burger shack that lets you put on regular toppings at the «salad bar». They also have a few other options like fried chicken. Place is a little filthy and old but burgers are good portioned and cooked to order. Customers are also quite entertaining in these parts of town.

This place is awesome! Owner is super friendly and the burgers are deliciouss :3
