Excellent food especially for the price. I had the quesadilla with jerk chicken and their red fries. Delicious and more food than most can eat in one sitting. Their sauce is delicious for the fries and on the quesadilla.

I was going to order Togo, but the owner insisted that I have to stay because the patio is so beautiful today. People here treat customers like family. The only thing is they don’t open all the time, so make sure you walk in when they are open.

I’m sorry, but the jerk chicken I had here was not spicy or flavorful; it did not correspond any I’ve ever had(including at the hands of people from the Carribean). With the ratings I was expecting something much better. Two stars for pleasant service and a nice backyard seating area, but I would not come back again.

Top notch local food. Healthy and tasty. Sometimes hard to miss if you don’t know where it is. I lived in this hood several years before realizing it was there believe it or not. –Salmon Platter– very good and healthy. I tend to like the Salmon extra spicey and with lots of baked beans and the tomato salsa. YUM. — lamb platter– fantastic and tasty. You can get this in a pita or by iteself. Either way delicious with some primo sauce.

If you didn’t know it was here you’d walk right by. A nondescript storefront leads into a little patio nice little place with some of the best Jamaican food in the San Francisco Bay area! The staff is amazing and the atmosphere is chill bring your friends have a bite and a drink before the game you’ll thank me later

I went here a long time ago and found myself thinking back fondly on it years later. Went back recently and had a great time again. Same waiter who was really kind and friendly. Try the buli buli!

I really like it here. Airy, spunky, fresh and full of flavor. Ceviche is prime and the jerk chicken was amazing. I absolutely love the chicken plate that comes with rice, beans, veggies, and salsa. Everything is so good. If only they could have the pulled pork more.

I was just here and it was amazing! the jerk chicken was BOMB and so was the lamb! We ordered calamari, jerk chicken, jerk chicken sandwich, and the lamb. Definitely would go again, especially with the amazing service.

Came here for lunch today with my better half and really liked the food here! The weather was really nice and sunny and the back patio was full, even so we got here right around 12:15 and we were seated pretty quickly. It really gets great light back there and cuts out the wind-chill factor, so it was just perfect. We ordered the jerk chicken plate and the upside-down chicken plate. Both plates came with rice, beans, and veggies. I was happy with the sides already. Everything is so flavorful and the chicken… oh my, the chicken was super tender and wonderfully covered in bold spices. We also got a side of the plantains and they were REALLY good. Probably the best plantains I’ve ever had — the bananas were the perfect level of sweetness and texture/ripeness. Overall a really great place for lunch — fast service and really cute back patio for those sunny afternoons.

I am always overjoyed to find lunch options for under 10 dollars in the city and I tend to rate a bit higher when I do. Primo Patio falls in this spectrum, but, even better, it’s completely worthy of the 5 stars. For less than 10 bucks you can get a good-sized jerk chicken sammie with a side of spiced up Caribbean fries and delicious dipping sauce. Plus, you can eat it outside on the back patio in the sun before a Giants game! I haven’t explored much more of the menu because this option is so popular, delicious, and a great value. Primo Patio is a no-brainer, go-to lunch stop before a game or if you’re just in this area. Kind, prompt service, and zero pretension adds massively to its charm.

Came here with colleagues for lunch yesterday, as this was my first time back in 10 years. I ordered the Red Snapper Salad, while my colleagues each ordered the jerk chicken plate with a side of plantains. My salad: Was just OK. It has been awhile since I have had iceberg lettuce in my salads, as I am used to having some sort of fresh greens/spring mix. The fish itself was OK, however to their credit it was fresh. My colleagues on thoroughly enjoyed their jerk chicken meals with plantains, and ginger beer. Overall thoughts: I can now say I have given Primo Patio a 2nd chance, and do not see myself coming back here for awhile.

Excellent unpretentious homestyle Jamaican cuisine. We had sampling of a few items. Cerviche was spot on with nice acidity with lime and onions as well as a balance of slight sweet from tomatoes. The lamb and snapper platter was cooked perfectly and well seasoned although the rice was not flavored very well. Service was efficient and pleasant, however not attentive. I did not receive get offer for a drink refill. Love the location so close to everything from the giants stadium and the train

Cute little restaurant with outdoor seating tucked away near the ball park. The service is super friendly and quick. We came by a Saturday afternoon, so there weren’t any lines. I’m sure this place gets packed during weekdays and game days, so come early. FOOD: * Finger Snaps — The fresh fried snapper was good, but I didn’t enjoy how much breading it had. The portion was large though, and great value for the price. * Jerk Chicken Sandwich — My bf really liked his sandwich. The chicken was very moist, tender and flavorful. What a surprise! The bread was also really soft, and the sandwich came with plenty of fries. * Plantains — The side of fried plantains was delicious. I love plantains, and these were perfectly fried without being greasy. So glad we wandered into this place! Will definitely be back.

I have no idea how I have not reviewed this place before. It is one of my favorites in the city. I love the jerk chicken sandwich and fries. I especially love the dipping sauce they come with. The patio is really cute and is very relaxing.

Came with a group of about 10 coworkers on a Friday at noon — we put in reservations(I had no expectation they would be kept) and strolled right in to a long patio table in the back with enough room for everyone. A group lunch in SOMA with a place for everyone to sit? Rare. Jerk chicken is the word at this place — on a platter, in a pita, in a sandwich, on a salad. I went with the Tender Chicken Salad($ 8.75), which came with a solid portion of seasoned jerk chicken on top of a bed of greens that had been tossed in raspberry vinaigrette. It was simple, light, and super, super tasty. The chicken was perfectly cooked; I could have even gone without the vinaigrette if I had to, but it was a nice touch. Most of us got the salad or sandwich, but their fish sandwiches and french fries looked great, too. The service was extremely friendly and helpful, and we were back in the office within the hour. I’d come back anytime — this is a great stop if you’re in the area!

Always a good go-to spot when we’re in SOMA =). My boyfriend gets the Jerk Chicken Sandwich every time, without fail, and always loves it. THEWAIT: None on a cold Saturday afternoon around 1 or 2pm. They do have a tent set up with outdoor heaters on their back patio, but it was still a tad chilly. THESERVICE: Great. Our server, an older gentleman, made fun of me a bit. I appreciated his sense of humor. See my pics of the food for additional info! * Spicy Corncake w/Blackeyed Peas(lightly panfried. Served w/salsa & sour cream. $ 6.99) — 2.5 stars. This sounded great in theory, but the ingredients weren’t fresh — the salsa seemed old, the corncake itself was lackluster, not quite like any version of corn bread or corn cake that you might imagine, but dense and bland. It also had celery, which I’m really sensitive to, and didn’t include it in the menu description. My bf also thought this tasted moldy. * Tropical Tacos for Two(crispy corn tortillas layered w/black beans, Costa Rican cabbage salad, fried snapper & salsa. $ 11.99) — 4 stars Nice! This is more like a platter of fried fish than tacos, since the tortillas are hard and basically like decoration under all the food. Man this snapper was great — very flaky, and an awesome grainy and crunchy thick breading. This with their aioli. we couldn’t get enough. It’s a huge dish too! * Jerk Chicken Sandwich — 4.5 stars. Again, my bf’s go-to: tangy, succulent, delicious. Best aioli ever. However, this time the fries were a bit old. Soggy, lacking crisp or flavor.

Come for the warm and attentive service, outdoor patio, and fries with the jerk chicken. Jerk chicken sandwich — the fries that come with it are awesome, especially with their house sauce. Jerk chicken is flavorful. Fresh grilled snapper — cooked just right, seasoned with paprika and other spices. I swapped the beans for plantains which was a good decision Calamari — meh — a little slimey and more breading than I usually like Spicy seafood soup — cozy on an overcast winter day. Owner says«any cold day is soup day here» :)

Wow, okay so I didn’t expect to stumble upon such a delicious and authentic food place while hanging near AT&T park. I almost didn’t want to write a review because, man, this place is perfection. –FOOD– I think it’s safe to say that my friend and I made the right choice when we decided to try several dishes and share them: trust me you do not want to miss out on their heavenly menu items. But ya gotta pick the right ones. — Jerk Chicken. Well I won’t elaborate here. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned, not to mention the sides(yummyyyyyy) I could just have had these beans and nothing else. I swear they were wow. — Ceviche. Just a bowl of freshness and the right amount of salsa and lemon! — Tostones. Holy crap they were so good! And matched well with the ceviche, too. –SERVICE– Excellent. We had a lot to catch up on and they let us stay after closing hours.(like half an hour maybe) thanks for that! –PRICE– § 15 each for that amount of food is just ridiculous. –BUTTHEBESTPART: THEINDOORPATIO– I could have been in a small town in the south of Mexico and it would have made total sense. The tables, chairs, walls, are decorated with talent and the whole thing comes out as in a ‘casa’ mejicana. I’m very happy that my friend and I discovered this place! We will be back. No doubt. Thanks Primo Patio Café!

Only the best jerk chicken in San Francisco!!! The fried plantains here are to die for as well. Stay away from the jerk steak(overcooked and under-seasoned) and the fried cat fish. The last time I was here with a friend, she got persuaded by the owner to order the fried catfish even though I told her that she was making the worst decision of her life. Guess what? I was right. She took one bite of my jerk chicken and teared up a little. OK fine, maybe she didn’t cry, but she was feeling some serious buyer’s remorse! There’s only outdoor seating. If going for during the week for lunch, get there by 11:40 latest or else you might have to wait for a table. Oh, and no dogs allowed on weekdays. I’m not sure why it’s only a dog-friendly place during the weekends, but I didn’t bother investigating.
