My wife and I were looking for something a little different and stumbled onto La Fusion. What a treat. The staff was pleasant and friendly. I was skeptical about ordering the Seafood Pot Pie. I was thinking clam chowder in a crust, but was I wrong. This was simply incredible: great flavor, beautiful presentation, and quite simply delicious. We may have to go back before we leave town.

i came here with my coworkers for lunch in celebration of one of my coworker’s birthday. i ordered the la fusion seafood pot pie(stuffed puff pastry filled with prawns, fish, mushrooms with potatoes in a creamy chipotle-guajillo sauce) and it was so delicious! i really enjoyed the stuffed puff pastry and the creamy sauce! i took some of my coworker’s bread to dip in the creamy sauce. it’s not really a filling meal if you’re eating on an empty stomach. my boss ordered a side of truffle mac and cheese for everyone to share. the truffle mac and cheese was so bomb! it makes me want to go back to Homeroom(mac & cheese restaurant in oakland). i definitely recommend these two dishes! the food here is good, but pretty pricey for the portion size. the restaurant is really small and cozy. there isn’t much seating so i wouldn’t recommend large groups.

A cute little restaurant with a good variety of dishes. The place was packed on a Wednesday evening but we were seated at(probably) the last available table. There was a decent vegetarian selection and many of the sides were vegetarian as well. I tried out the fried empanadas, yucca frites and tacu tacu. The yucca was probably my favorite, it was thick and crispy and served with a lot of salad. The empanadas were good too. They came with an assortment of dipping sauces. I had never heard of a tacu tacu but it was sort of a croquette made out of rice and beans and was very tasty. I also tried a bit of my colleagues chocolate torta and it was delicious. Service was friendly, sangria was great and food looked and tasted good(as it should) and I’ll probably be back next time I am in the city!

On my final day in San Francisco, I was looking for a restaurant that was close by to my hotel. This was within walking distance of my hotel which was great. We had a hard time looking for this restaurant. We though it was in the Beldon Plaza, but it’s actually near a white Bonkers sign. It’s impossible to miss the Bonkers sign. We arrived at 9:35 and they close at 10. This place is really small and cute, but it feels really cramped inside. Theres barely enough really to walk. We sat towards the wall next to the bar. We ordered the whole Rotisserie Chicken with Tuffle Mac n Cheese. The whole chicken was $ 34, half chicken is $ 19, and quarter chicken is $ 15. It comes with a side dish, but if you want Mac n Cheese it cost $ 3.00 more. The Rotisserie Chicken was very flavorful and delicious. Some pieces of the chicken were moist and some were dried. The chicken had a bread salad under the chicken. My boyfriend didn’t like it, but I thought it taste okay. The chicken came with three sauces. I like the herb and yellow one. The herb was a oil based herb sauce. It tasted really fresh. The yellow sauce is made up of pepper I believe. It’s has a hit of spice in it, but it gives it a kick. The green sauce I don’t know how to describe it. I couldn’t get much flavor out of the sauce but I know there’s flavor. The Truffle Mac n Cheese was really light which I didn’t expect. Usually Mac n Cheese have a heavy fast of cheese, but this was really light. Overall, the meal was really delicious. I would definitely come back to eat it again, but maybe order a half instead of a whole since we couldn’t finish it. The server was really nice and let us know that we shouldn’t feel rushed since they closed already because they were going to stay around till 11.

Here’s the line-up that kicked it for us on our first visit: 1. Started with a pair of empanadas — dipping sauce, crispy shell, flavorful filling. Spot on! 2. Shared a ceviche mixto between 2 — plenty to share. Great variety, lime and flavors were bold and crisp. Another home run. 3. I went with the seafood pot pie. My colleague chose the rotisserie chicken with the truffle mac n cheese. Pot pie was the stuff dreams are made of. Chicken and mac were crazy good. 4. Wrapped the tour with the Tres Leches cake and Banana and Dulce de Leche Empanadas. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better, it did. In the financial district for dinner? Eat at La Fusion or settle for less. Your choice.

We used to order from here all the time through zesty. So happy we decided to pop in for dinner. Must get their chicken with the bread salad — so DELICIOUS Their lamb shank is also really good For starters we always get their Argentinian empanadas which is so good. Service is great and food is amazing. A little smaller inside but what’s not in San Francisco.

I REALLY liked this place. I came here for a quick dinner after work with some old co-workers. We got a seat by the window. I ordered a glass of sparking rose(loved!) we got the cheese expands and the chicken bites to start. For entrees we ordered the arroz con pollo, the mushroom strudel(YUM!!) the mac and cheese. It was all fantastic, and very reasonable. The bathroom is directly off the dining room(I would HATE sitting there & would have rather left then sit there) Also the unisex bathroom has a urinal it it — which to me mad me feel like it was a gross bar, so they do lose a star for that)

This is such a cute little establishment located in SF. It’s definitely not for larger groups(unless you make a reservation) because it is a bit cramped inside, but nonetheless a restaurant worth going to! This is now one of my top favorites in the city. I came here with a friend and both absolutely loved the food here. We ordered the arroz con pollo(chicken and rice), the tuna ceviche, and tres leches cake. Arroz con pollo(5⁄5) I’m not one to ever order chicken at a restaurant. It’s hard to cook a chicken perfectly, but because of the rave reviews, I decided to give this dish a try and was so glad I did. This is probably amongst the top 3 best chicken I ever ordered from a restaurant. The dish comes with a rotisserie chicken thigh which is literally perfect. The skin has a crisp to it and the meat is extremely tender and juicy, not dry at all. The bed of rice it rests on is SOOGOOD. The best way I can describe it is that it’s almost like cilantro fried rice but better. I don’t believe I left a scrap on that dish. Tuna ceviche(5⁄5) Their tuna ceviche is actually more like a tuna poke dish to me. The fish is extremely rare which is how I like it and mixed with onions, puff corns, and I don’t even remember what else. It’s seasoned so well, bursting with flavor in ever direction. This dish is actually pretty big, big enough to share even for a tuna lover like myself. All the ingredients were fresh, and I’ve seriously been craving this dish since I first had it over a week ago. Tres leches(4⁄5) I love tres leches cake. It’s probably my favorite cake when done correctly and la fusion does a great job with this dish. They do come in seasonal flavors so this round mine was banana strawberry flavor. So imagine a banana bread flavored cake.(I also love banana bread). The cake was topped off with some fresh strawberries and whipped cream. I actually don’t remember eating this dish. One moment I took my first bite, the next I only had one bite left. It was super good! The only thing I would say is that I wish it was a little bit more moist. Absolutely in love with this restaurant and looking forward to coming back again. I’ll probably order the same things again since I can’t stop thinking about these dishes.

I’ve come here twice now for birthdays with a large group and think it’s okay. Both times I ordered the rotisserie chicken with a side. The chicken is pretty tasty, but I think it’s actually pretty pricey for what you get. Truffle mac & cheese is also avg and you have to pay extra if you want it as a side. I just remember walking away both times feeling like my meal wasn’t very worth it. The first time we came my bf and I also ordered the ceviche. It was really disappointing — tasted mediocre, tiny amount, and was pretty expensive… I think $ 20-$ 30 or something. Overall I think 4.5 stars is overrated and I would lower expectations a bit. Service is really friendly and if it’s your birthday they give you free dessert.

Casual lively spot with very reasonably priced food. Seafood pot pie(5⁄5) — It was highly recommended by the waiter and I can see why. It packed an incredible amount of flavor with lots of seafood. It wasn’t at all like a chicken pot pie like the name might conjure. It’s probably better thought of as a spicy thick stew of seafood with a flakey dough accompaniment. Very different than anything I was used to Service was friendly and fast but not overbearing.

Fusion works when intertwining varying foods, drink and cultures, but definitely NOT a fusion of cigar smoke and food. After scouring Unilocal and the web for a great place to dine when in SF for a business and pleasure trip I found La Fusion. All looked awesome and promising for a casual Saturday night dinner. We were promptly seated at a very small table at the front of the restaurant, only to find an overpowering smell of cigar smoke coming from the cigar store/bar immediately next door. Asked to be moved to the back of the restaurant away from the frequently opening front door and open windows on the street, but no other tables were available. We’re outa here. Also very surprised not to find any cerviche on the menu, a showcase on the menu found on their awful website, leaving a gaping hole in what first excited me about La Fusion. This said, credit goes to the lovely hostess who provided a recommendation to a very nice Italian restaurant nearby.

Chicken with rice, arugula salad and truffle mac and cheese. I didn’t love any of the dishes. The chicken was done nicely. Candied walnuts were delicious combined with the dressing in the salad. If you don’t mind bitterness from the arugula(it was only remedied by looking for bits of candied walnuts to combine it with) it’s a safe bet. I thought the beets could have been flavored in a way that was more complimentary to the salad, they seemed out of place, kind of bland. The truffle oil or overall flavor of the mac and cheese reminded me of when you boil hot dogs — what that hot-dog boiling water would taste like. Guess it wasn’t for me. The rice served with the chicken wasn’t my thing, there was a weird flavor that wasn’t quite tangy. but was in that realm of flavor. I don’t like cilantro, so it makes sense that I wouldn’t like the rice, though. My dining partner sometimes doesn’t either, but I think my she didn’t hate it, as she ate about 1⁄3 of it. We both enjoyed the chicken, which was flavorful and done nicely. It wasn’t horrible, also not a place I’d pick again. I’d go if someone else really wanted to.

Full chicken — 3.5÷5 — so so, i like limon way more because it was more juicy and had a much crispier skin ceviche mixto — 3⁄5 — ok flavors, was quite small for the price, it came with toast bites, wished it were chips fried empanadas beef — 3.5÷5 — crispy, strong flavor, but not as good as the ones in Peru truffle mac & cheese — 4⁄5 — pretty good, not bad, small portions though, but one of the tastier mac and cheese i had sweet potato fries — 4⁄5 — pretty good actually, kept dipping into the orange sauce, nice and crispy tres leches — 2.5÷5 — was hard, and had a strong banana taste, what gives? odd, didn’t taste fresh banana dulce de leche empanadas — 3.5÷5 — didn’t taste like bananas surprisingly, crispy, a bit too sweet, but not too bad. it does have mushy bananas inside, but bc it’s fried, you can’t taste it red sangria — 4⁄5 — on the sweeter side, can’t even taste the alcohol, had 2 full bottle because it’s quite small for 4 people. service was ok, bathroom was clean(uni sex), small place, walked passed it, not a bad place, but it’s more of OK place.

Came here recently on a date last saturday night. The restaurant is small and seating is limited. Although they can accommodate a few small parties, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend la fusion for big groups. If you have a smaller party, do make a reservation. Just note that tables are on the smaller side and may be a bit cramp. Like a majority of the review, La fusion is known for their ceviche and their famous roast chicken. My date and I ended up ordering their ceviche mixto fresh fish, Shrimp, Octopus, Mussels, Pickled Red Onions, Corn & Lime Juice. It was a great mix, but personally I would have enjoyed a tad bit more citrus in the mix. Nonetheless, good seafood and very fresh.(smaller serving) I would, however, highly recommend the chicken. It was very moist and tender, flavor was perfect. With the entrée, you can order between a full, a half, or quarter. It also comes with a side.(get the white bean side, it’s delicious). The chicken is also served with a variety of three different sauces. We also tried the lomo saltado, which was tangy and savory at the same time. Both my date and I agreed that the combination of the beef and veggies didn’t go quite well with the french fries. I felt like it wouldn’t been better with house potatoes or red bell peppers? Though the sous-vied beef was very tender. Overall, i would come back for the chicken. Pretty good meal, perhaps we ordered the wrong items. I believe the 3 items came out to around $ 70 – 80

My cousin who moved from NYC to San Fran, raved about how much she loved the Latin Fusion cuisine in La Fusion. She has stated it is difficult to find authentic Latino cuisine that isn’t Mexican and misses the flavors that she adored so much in the fusion places NYC has to offer. We were lucky to get a last minute reservation due to a previous cancellation and I must say that I am so thankful for the ability to have been able to try it! We just made it to our reservation after a long ride back to San Francisco from Napa and were delighted to be seated and served immediately. We started off with Sangria because of course more wine after wine is always great:) The sangria was delicious and had hints of citrus fruits and honey which made it feel quite classy:) Definitely one of the best I have tasted! We were so ready to order food, and had been talking about our choices on our ride from Napa. My friend and I ordered and shared the Yucca Fries at $ 10 a plate, which came with a choice of three sauces but honestly our favorite was the chimmichurri sauce, with chopped cilantro, lime, and garlic who could go wrong! Then we had the arroz con pollo at $ 16 a plate, which had the most delicious green cilantro sauce in the rice that put the chimichurri sauce to shame… unless it was the same? The chicken had the rotisserie taste I adore and just such a great blend of Latin flavors! We devoured each bite. We also had Mixed Green Salad which included Cucumbers, Onion, Tomato, Choclo with a Champagne Vinaigrette. The choclo are Peruvian corn nuts which taste just like the corn nuts they sell in a bag and were such a wonderful addition to the salad that gave it a unique twist unlike any salad I have ever tasted. My cousin Is OBSESSED with the Fish Ceviche(Ceviche de Pescado) and wanted me to make sure I RAVED about how INCREDIBLE and unlike anything else she has ever tasted it is! She enjoys the Fresh Fish, Corn Nuts, Pickled Red Onions & Aji Amarillo that are detailed with the fish but most of all the lime and garlic that are included in the seasoning. I had a taste and must say that the flavors are indeed phenomenal but I wasn’t a fan of the raw chewy fish. Nonetheless, still great! The only thing I would say is a drawback is that there isn’t great ventilation so you will leave smelling like the food, however I think this is kind of charming because it makes you feel like you are at somebody’s home who is cooking you a personally catered meal. I must add that my favorite part was seeing the owner doing some serving and watching everyone work as a team. At one point two people came to help our server with the plates. I hate that I forgot her name but she was such a sweet girl who was so attentive that she noticed how much we loved the chimichurri sauce and brought us some more! LOVETHISPLACE. Will try to come back on the next San Fran visit!

Tiny restaurant tucked away in FiDi with flavors and dishes the pack a PUNCH. I’ve been here twice now, and was able to try quite a bit of dishes each time. Everything is totally on point! The warm bread salad with all the chicken juices mixed into is under the half chicken(SOFREAKINGFLAVORFULANDJUICEY) we ordered, the mixed ceviche with fish and yummy chewy octopus, the truffle mac was rich and delicious, the sauces the chicken came with, the empanadas, and the cilantro rice. God, I am drooling again just thinking about it. I also heard the ribs were da bomb dot com so I definitely need to try that next time. Its overall a bit pricey for chicken, but honestly the quality of food, service, and ambience maybe might be worth?(kinda mixed feelings about this.) Anyhoo, come try this place especially if you love chicken. it is YUMMMMM.

Came here for another friend’s birthday. We were in a group of 12 and just like the previous time, we end up being arranged around a pole. The pole essentially divides the table as this awkward divider. The seafood pot pie and truffle mac & cheese are just as good as I remember. mac & cheese has a strong truffle taste, but it doesn’t overpower the entire dish. The pot pie is super flaky with plenty of seafood. Food is more expensive than I remember and there is a 20% mandatory gratuity for larger groups.

I had La Fusion bookmarked for a while and with such amazing ratings its a must try. Came here with a group of girlfriends. It was a group of 7 girls. I felt like the server were impatient with us. Might be that we only had 6 people there and not complete?. But we did order sangria and appetizers to start before the whole party arrived. I didn’t think we held up the process for them. I just didn’t like the feeling of being rushed but he was trying to be nice not trying to sound pushy. Other than that, services was very good and the hostess was very nice. We started with the Argentinian Style Baked **Empanada(Beef), **sweet potato and **regular fries. The empandaa was very flavorful, pretty tasty to me but the fries was a bit bland. I guess that is why they give you dipping sauces on the side and it was not crispy. We had the large **Sangria as well. Pretty good but I think it was lots sweeter than ones I had before. Don’t get me wrong, I love it sweet but some might disgree. Since we are a group of 7, we did order quite a few items. I got the *SEAFOODPOTPIE because it had such good reviews on Unilocal.Well, that was a disappointment. I was so excited too. The Pastry Puff was not very crispy, shouldn’t it be? The taste of the dish was not bad but I just didn’t like my dish so much. It’s lacking in something, flavors. Maybe it was the chef that night. I had more fish than anything else from the seafood pot pie. I didn’t think it was that good. **Truffle Mac and Cheese sides to share.(2 orders) You can smell and taste the truffles. YUM! **WHOLECHICKEN $ 34. I had a piece of that and I really like that. I should have order the Arroz con Pollo instead of my pie. The chicken was cooked perfect. Juicy and tasty. **Pork Chop served with Bacon and that was very tasty. Was not dry at all and lots of flavor. I would recommend that. **Strips of Beef Tenderloin(stir fry) was not really good. The beef was on the dryer side. **Short ribs — My friend said it was just okay. The meat didn’t just fall off. Overall experience was not bad but don’t think I will come back for anything other than their chicken.

This restaurant instantly became our new favorite restaurant. We had the empanadas, the Yucca, and the tuna ceviche. They were all amazing. The Yucca and the empanadas came with three incredible sauces. Each dish was an amazing blend of flavors. We didn’t want to stop eating and could not decide what flavor to end on. The service was excellent and the ambience very nice. It is a very small restaurant so if you’re going during a busy time you may want a reservation. We walked in at 7:30 on a Saturday night and were able to sit down right away. Looking at the other dishes on other peoples tables made us want to come back and try everything on the menu.

I went there for lunch and was recommended the beef tenderloin dish. It was ok, but for the price and expectation that comes with beef tenderloin. I also had buyer’s remorse because the lunch ceviches sounded and looked a lot better.

I came here last night for dinner on a Wednesday. The food was delicious but service was definitely lacking. We ordered the following: Pescado Ceviche(they were quite generous with the fish) Argentinian Empanada(came with only one Empanada but the sauces were delicious) Garden Salad(basic salad, nothing special) Lomo Saltado(a bit pricey for $ 24 but was good) Tacu Tacu(delicious as well) The restaurant was pretty busy and they had two waiters. It took a while before they took our order but the food came out pretty quickly. It was hard getting our waiter’s attention for water refills and our check. Our water was never refilled. Our leftovers were boxed and bagged pretty quickly once we got our waiter’s attention but it still took a while for him to bring us our check after. Since the restaurant is tiny and we sat by the open kitchen, we smelled like grease after unfortunately. 4-stars for the food 2-stars for the service

This might be my new favorite restaurant in the financial district. I was very impressed with both the food, and ambiance. I went for lunch with a group of five, and we ordered the following dishes: –Arroz con pollo –Lamb shank –Seafood pot pie –Arugula salad with chicken –Caesar salad with chicken I had the arroz con pollo. The chicken really stole the show in my opinion. La Fusion has an entire portion of its menu dedicated to ‘Rotisserie Chicken’ and I would say it’s one of their specialties. They also make a great mac n cheese, with an very distinct seasoning. For dessert, we tried the Torta de Chocolate(Flourless Chocolate Cake with Strawberry Coulis, Chocolate Sauce Topped and Whipped Cream). The presentation was better than the flavor, but I still thought it was a pretty good cake. I’m excited to try the ceviche and empanadas next time I come back!

Double date night. Two carafes of sangria. Nothing special. First carafe had no fruit. Second carafe filled with fruit. No bar. Best item ordered: chicharrones: fried chicken appetizer with pickled red onions. Good flavor. My friend and I each ordered the half chicken which comes with their house bread salad. The salad was essentially five pieces of greens and fifteen cubes of bread.? Wok veggies as second side. Standard. My «half chicken» was definitely too small to be a half chicken. It looked like it was a quarter chicken cut into four pieces. My man ordered the steak and frites plate. Barely any steak. Soggy fries. Hella steamed rice. Don’t waste your time. The lamb shank was very good. Not good enough that I’ll come back though. The truffle mac and cheese was blasé. Small portion with too much truffle oil.

La Fusión is incredibly cramp, quite intimate, and most importantly, you gain the superhero ability to eavesdrop on any conversation. Bite me in the butt, but that is San Francisco for you! Make reservations beforehand! That is highly recommended for dinner time. Came with a couple of friends and was shortly seated. Like I said, this place is not meant for groups larger than 4, but great for dates due to the dimmed lighting. By the way, service was on point that night! Our waiter(Daniel?) was quick to respond to our requests, water and sangria was always filled, and most importantly, we didn’t feel rush since this place gets packed. Now onto my favorite part, the food & drinks. DRINKS: Pitcher of Sangria($ 30) — YEESSH, so good and addicting! Great drink to start the night off with. It was super refreshing and fruity with hints of red wine. Definitely worth the price when shared with others and the only negative was that I couldn’t take this bad boy home. APPETIZERS: Ceviche de Atun($ 17) — Base on the waiter’s recommendation, we decided to get the ceviche. It is a mix of ahi tuna, red onions, and other components of deliciousness. Super refreshing and flavorful at the same time. Ceviche is decently portioned and comes with thin-slices of toasted bread that pairs perfectly with the ceviche. Don’t be afraid to ask for more bread because you will run out! HOTPLATES: Rotisserie Chicken — Half Serving($ 19) — Serving size was more than enough for my friend and comes with a side of fries. Rotisserie Chicken was moist on the inside with a nice crispy skin and they paired it with these roasted rustic potatoes that were to die for. For the yukka fries, they were pretty standard, but paired with the three sauces. it was pretty good. DOTIP: Keep asking for more bread for your«ceviche». Use that leftover bread to dip in the sauces and is a great«snack» with your meal. Seafood Stew($ 18) — Unfortunately, I am allergic to shrimp and couldn’t have this, but my friends raved how comforting it was. Perfect dish for a rainy day! It was the special that night, so it won’t be on their regular menu. Arroz Con Pollo($ 16) — Nice golden piece of chicken on a bed of rice. Rice was mix with green pesto-like sauce, red onions, peas, & carrots! The chicken was moist as well, but personally, if I was going to spend sixteen dollars, I would have chosen another dish. It was good, but not great! Overall, I will definitely be coming back here to try their empanadas and other dishes. La Fusión is a great place to take your significant other or just to catch up with friends you haven’t seen in years. Sure it’s on the pricier side, but I believe its worth every penny. Presentation & taste of food, ambience, and great service is why this place is rated 4.5 stars!

Great spot in FiDi district. Flavorful authentic Latin food. I came in here for an early dinner before a flight and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is located on a corner street and is cozy inside. The menu is Latin classics on the Peruvian side. It smelled delicious while I was in there and wish I could’ve tried more items, but kept it simple. I recommend the rotisserie chicken. The ¼ chicken dish is great for a one person diner. The warm bread salad it comes with is delicious. It has warm bread pieces almost like large croutons on a bed of greens. The chicken was cooked perfect. Crispy skin without being Greasy and juicy white meat. Perfect! I ordered the arroz choclo as my side which came with three dipping sauces. The green and aioli sauce are on point. The couple in front of me got the truffle Mac and cheese and it looked so yummy. Wish I would’ve tried it.

So my friends at Accounting took me here yesterday for lunch. The place was busy so we ended up eating at the bar — which was totally fine. The group ordered a few dishes to share. We started with the Ceviche.(Ceviche Mix, Fish Ceviche and Ahi Tuna Ceviche) The serving was huge enough for the 5 of us. I enjoyed the Tuna the best. The fish and shrimp were ok. We also had some baked empanadas:(Roasted«Corn Poblano Pepper and Fontina Cheese Beef Tenderloin with Raisins and Olives) I can’t have Dairy so I only had the Beef empanadas. So good and super filling! The sauces that came with it were also a great match. For entrees, we had the Rotisserie Chicken: this was roasted perfectly and lightly salted. Delish! We also had the Lomo Saltado:(Strips of Beef Tenderloin Cooked Under Sous-Vide and Stir Fried with Red Onions, Ripe Tomatoes, French Fries served with a side of Jasmine Rice). This was a little disappointing hence why I only gave a 4. There were more french fries than the beef. Although the beef was so tasty and soft — cooked very well. I’ve never had Peruvian food before so it was good to try this place out. I’ll definitely try other dishes next time. And definitely. Desserts!!!

I almost died. It’s true. I fell 180 ft down the«Snake Dance» route on Half Dome(that’s in Yosemite for you cityfolk), thinking I was on the much easier, and much more traveled«Snake Dike» route. Because of the runout nature of this route, I had no gear or bolts for 90 ft and fell down 90ft and then another 90 ft past my belayer. Scraping against the high-angle granite, trying to keep my feet in front of me, and hoping the rope was going to catch before I smashed into a ledge. And catch it did. I’ll never forget that tug of life. My climbing partner literally saved my life.(her hands were pretty badly mangled from absorbing all that energy during the fall :() This happened two days before my birthday. Two days later I was in San Francisco for job training. My climbing partner and I went here, on my birthday, after we almost died. I guess what I’m saying is: my review is probably a little biased. I was very impressed with the ambiance. I love the classy, laid-back little hole-in-the-walls that are so common in San Francisco, and so rare almost everywhere else. The staff was great, the hardest part was choosing what to order. I ended up going with lamb. I never had lamb growing up, and now I can’t get enough of it! It was incredible. Great service, great ambiance, great food, and reasonable prices… I love big cities. I’ll never forget this place.

— Pretty small restaurant, but I like the intimate feel. Really easy to eavesdrop though lol so it made me hesitant to talk freely — Not part of Belden Place(right next the Belden Pl entrance on Pine though) — Awesome service — Some of the popular dishes are the pot pie, empanadas, ceviche, and tuna tartare. I barely ate all day, but I still wasn’t hungry for dinner so I ordered a cab to drink and a tuna tartare. Cab was great. I made a tiny dent in my food(but it was good!!!) and packed the rest to go. Tried a little bit of the seafood pot pie which was pretty good. — Pricey I’ll come back and truly experience this place when I’m not super out of it

The short: delicious(and tiny) empanadas I was intimidated by some of the diners who were wearing some suits, but they still take plebeians like me ;) The place is long, extending towards the back, though I’m not sure about the exact size and the capacity because we chose a table at the window next to the entrance. My friend and I decided on the fried empanadas. They are tiny, delicious things and alone are not good for a full meal. My friend wanted something to drink, so the waiter suggested the purple corn drink. I had a taste of it, and despite its strange name, it tastes wonderful! Since the main empanadas were not enough, we shared a dessert banana empanada, which also tasted wonderful. We liked our server, who was very nice. Haha! He was very flirty and my friend and I were giggling the entire time. That purple corn drink my friend ordered? On the house! Thanks good sir! I’m not used to paying so much for such small portions. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind coming back if somebody else was paying or I was earning more heheh.

I came here with my best friends for a quick snack before we headed to the bars. We had their Empanadas(corn & fish), Yucca Fries, and Banana and Dulce de Leche Empanadas. I loved the sauces that came with the empanadas, it compliment together very well, my fave sauce was the piquillo pepper aioli. The Banana and Dulce de Leche Empanadas is a MUSTTRY, our waiter recommended it to us and it was delicious! What can go wrong with bananas and ice cream? I definitely want to come here again and try their truffle mac and cheese and chicken!

Wow!!! This place is amazing! I came here for my friend’s birthday and we were slightly confused since our lyft dropped us off but we didn’t see a distinct sign outside, however we finally figured it out and stepped inside. Upon entering there was a fantastic aroma coming from the kitchen. We made reservations so we were seated promptly. I ordered the areoz con pollo and we got the truffle Mac and cheese to share amongst us. My dish was so delicious. I loved the different dipping sauces it came with and the chicken had so much flavor. The rice was perfectly seasoned and not overly salty or anything. It was a great dish that didn’t make me feel super bloated after. The Mac and cheese was so good and wasn’t too cheesy! The pricing of this restaurant is great and the portions are pretty big. I would definitely recommend trying out this place you will NOT be disappointed!!!

La Fusion is a small restaurant that fits probably 20 people inside. There’s a bunch of two seat tables. It’s not a good place for large groups and it’s best to come here before the dinner hour starts. == Food == The chicken is to die for! It’s really delicious! The skin is crispy while the meat is juicy. It’s cooked really well. The ceviche is another highly recommended item to get. The fish is fresh and the sauce they use is very tasty! The tuna tartar is good. There isn’t anything special about the tuna tartar. The fish is also fresh. == Service == The service is okay. It seems like they’re really busy here during dinner time. A bit hard to get a waiter’s attention. == Overall == Good food and okay service.

Our group dining experience with our lunch crew was wonderful. We made it just in time to grab a table for 6 people, which seems like an impressive feat during SF lunch rush. We had ceviche, empanadas, arroz con pollo, mac and cheese(why not? And it was delicious to boot)… basically the menu came our way. I loved the variety of options and it’s a decent portion for lunch. You won’t leave with leftovers but your bill will have you wishing for more to have made it worthwhile. It’s a small space so I’d recommend it for 2−3people unless you have time to wait. A good spot for something new for lunch. Come for the ceviche, seriously.

Located in the busy Financial District area, the restaurant was a little hard to find but keep in mind I’m not from San Francisco. The restaurant is small and it was packed. I sat at the bar which had a few seats available. The person who took my order suggested trying the Rotisserie Chicken or the La Fusion Seafood Pot Pie but I ended up getting something else. :Food: I tried the Lomo Saltado. It came with strips of beef tenderloin, tomatoes, red onions, Jasmine rice, and french fries. The flavor was a little tangy and salty. There were only few pieces of meat; it was tough and chewy. I liked the onions, fries, and tomatoes. The sauce was good with the rice. ( ) :Customer Service: It was«ok». They took my order and brought my food. Checked on me once and provided the check. The service was not memorable. :Tip: Hard to locate if you are not familiar with the area. :M’s Notes: ~Street and garage parking ~Busy during lunch hours

La Fusion is a consistent favorite of mine here in SF away fom the magnet of North Beach. You’ll find a wondeful, pleasant atmosphere. Eclectic crowd matched by a friendly and enthusiastic staff. Menu has something for everyone. From appetizers you can share over some wine to make a light meal to more complete meals that combine simplicity with overwhelming quality, flavor & presentation. For the undecided, the go-to is the Rotisserie Chicken. Yes, it’s just a chicken, but it is deliciously seasoned, perfectly cooked & very attractively presented. Ceviche Mixto is tops.

I feel like we ate at a different place than all the reviewers who gave La Fusion an average rating of 4.5 stars. The wifey and I did date night here, and we really wanted to like the place. We’d read Unilocal reviews, picked out dishes ahead of time, made an early reservation, and even showed up slightly early on a Wednesday night. The place wasn’t too busy, and we were seated immediately. The ambiance was a blend between classic and modern, and the wait staff was friendly. We had: Shrimp Ceviche($ 15) — 4 stars: A great way to start the meal! Had a good amount of shrimp and avocado, and the sauce had a nice spicy kick. However, the bread was cut too thickly into too few slices, so we ran out of bread and had to finish the ceviche with a spoon. Half Rotisserie Chicken($ 19) — 3 stars: La Fusion’s cousin, Limon, makes an awesome rotisserie chicken, so I had high hopes for this dish. Unfortunately, the chicken breast was dry, and the pieces of bread mixed into the dish didn’t do much except get soggy. Three dipping sauces were provided: chimichurri, pepper aioli, and black mint. The sauces were bold and were the highlight of the dish; the chimichurri was our hands-down favorite. Truffle Mac and Cheese(side) — 3 stars: Our chicken came with our choice of side, with a $ 3 surcharge for the mac and cheese. I liked the truffled texture of this side, but it probably wasn’t worth the extra money over a different side. Seafood Pot Pie($ 24) — 3 stars: This was another dish that Unilocalers raved about. The crust was really nice and flaky, and the sauce inside was bold with a good kick. However, we didn’t feel like this had enough seafood, especially given how generous the amount of shrimp in the ceviche was. Chicha Morada($ 4) — 4 stars: This purple sweet corn drink is always a good way to complement a Peruvian meal. It was served in a glass with a lime slice, but probably poured from a can(i.e. not made in-house). The appetizer was the best part of the meal, and though La Fusion has mastered their sauces, their execution of entrees needs work. The overall mediocre dining experience left us wishing we’d traveled a little further to Limon, where the food is more amiable to the tongue and to the wallet.

Despite what it says in the«More Business Info» this place is NOT good for groups. I made reservations for 12 based on description and pictures, however it was a mistake as this place is tiny inside. Our seating was very awkward as the tables were small, space was cramped, and there was a pilar cutting across the table. But this wasn’t the worst seat in the house, I felt bad for the poor souls that were seated directly next to the restroom door. The food was decent, I wish they had better description of the food than just Half Chicken. Yes, but what else does it come with? Some plates came with cilantro rice and others came on a bed of salad. Ordered seafood pot pie with a side of truffle mac n cheese. The food was very good. The pastry on the pot pie was amazing, and the mac n cheese melted in my mouth. Next time I go back, I’ll make sure to keep my party at max two and hope for a table away from the bathrooms.

The food has got it going on. That’s clear. There’s a Latin American menu with a San Francisco sensibility to it, and I can’t complain about that. No, if anything, I’d like to take some time to get to know a few more items on the menu. And that brings us to point two: time. In this neighborhood, there are dedicated lunch spots – you know the kind where you can jump in line, grab food, and get out – and then there are places where you go and sit and take some time for a «talking lunch.» This is the latter. To their credit, they have a simplified lunch menu with a handful of items. There are a few plates, a sandwich, some ceviche(dat ceviche tho!) and it keeps things moving pretty quickly. Still, if you’re on a tight time budget, or fiscal budget, this may not be your first choice. This is for when you want to take a little longer lunch, go with a colleague, or meet up for an extended lunch to catch up with a friend. Although the atmosphere isn’t totally chill(there’s not a ton of seating) you can still take your time a little. Now, dinner, on the other hand… I’ve not been. But that’s the thing that intrigues me. Latin American dishes have long been underrepresented in the dining scene here in the USA(save for pockets of populations) and I’d love to try more of the genius from the folks who brought me that sandwich, or that ceviche that we shared. Can’t go wrong with empanadas, either.

Was an spectacular meal we had in La Fusion. We tried the ragu and it was carefully cooked so that the ingredients mixed in a perfect way. Remarkably delicious!
