Went to this place a couple of times recently for Warriors game and it exceeded expectations. The food is surprisingly excellent — the tuna melt, grilled cheese, onion rings and curly fries were all very good. Also, fun crowd for sporting events plus the service was terrific. Highly recommended.

Have been here many times … today, as almost always, I ordered the eggs Benedict. I substituted the ham with a veggie sausage patty, and added extra hollandaise sauce on the side. The Benedict was very good, eggs were poached perfectly! The hash browns(thin, like shoestring potatoes — a very nice change) were rather cold, as if they sat there waiting for the eggs to arrive. I ordered home made biscuits on the side, and although the size has shrunk over the years, the texture and taste(smothered in butter) was still there. Helpings are generous and some plates seem like«I’ll never finish all that!» when they arrive. Service was quick and attentive, and if you haven’t been there the ambience is unique — especially the canopy of lampshades over the dining area! Booths are cushy and comfortable, and the«bar» seating offers 2 televisions for diversion. An extensive menu naked thus a great place for breakfast late in the day or lunch earlier than is traditional. Either way you’ll enjoy it.

First time ordering from here today, ordered Bacon cheeseburger, to go; When I got to the office there was no bacon on the burger, called the store and a clerk with tells me «well, you can come and pick up your bacon if you still want it».

Veggie brunch options are fantastic. Biscuits and veggie gravy and eggs in a veggie nest are both yummy. The gravy is green because it has loads of spinach and it’s not over salted, nice! Came here for brunch on Easter and loved that it wasn’t an hour wait to get in, but still nice and busy. So sorry we avoided this place because of the«pork» name. You can really get your veggie fill here. They have veggie bacon and sausages, too.

An awesome spot to grab brunch and sit outside in the Mission. The service is good and they have a huge selection of food options. We’re never blown away by their food or service but we like coming here. Steve always gets Huevos Rancheros no matter where he goes and they were fabulous here. He ordered the Huevos Ranchero Deluxe and it came with corn tortilla, eggs, chorizo, avocado and beans. It was so good! The flavors were delicious. I got the Vegan Tofu Scramble with Salad instead of potatoes and no toast. The side salad was really big and the scramble was also a good size. I really liked the taste of the scramble and was pleased to find big chunks of tofu. My Bloody Mary was delicious too.

This place was a bit disappointing. I split dishes with someone and Cajun chicken sandwich was not very appetizing, while the hash Benedict tasted like average diner food.

My friend and I wandered by here searching for a low-key place to grab brunch on a Saturday morning. No brunch is complete without a carafe of mimosas, so that was my only requirement when we were searching for a place to eat. Since it was such a BEAUTIFUL day, we sat out front on the porch and I promptly ordered a carafe of mimosas for the two of us. If you read through my past brunch reviews for other places, you’ll know that I’m picky about how my mimosas are mixed. Don’t give me none of that 50:50OJ: Champagne ratio — a mimosa should merely be TINGED with orange juice — not the other way around. This place passed the test! YUM! Our food came out promptly and we both cleaned our plates. I ordered the two eggs + bacon and has browns and he ordered the two eggs with a biscuit & gravy. Fabulous! I would definitely come again next time I’m in the city.

Eggs In A Veggie Nest $ 9.50 — 2 poached eggs with vegan sausage, grilled green peppers, fresh tomatoes, onions & garlic topped on hash browns with a side of 2 fluffy biscuits! Side of onion rings — Perfectly fried, crispy crust, good width of the onion. With the side of ranch they provide, could not go wrong. Biscuits — SOGOOD! Nice and fluffy, not dry(except the exterior which is understandable). Vegan chopped up sausage was really tasty. In the mix of the peppers, onions and tomatoes — it would have been nice if the sliced vegetables were smaller to make it easier to eat. Too many peppers and onions. Hash browns were good, unfortunately they got soggy under the sauteed vegetables. Eggs were poached nicely, the yolk was nice and drippy with a thin yolk«shell» inside. Grapefruit mimosa — Delicious! Not sour, just the right amount of champagne to juice. There was a random intoxicated person who tried to chat with us during our brunch, we were clearly surprised. The waiter asked the man to kindly leave us alone and stayed with us until the man did. Great service!

This is my favorite brunch place in all of SF. I’ve been coming to the Pork Store regularly for the last 5 years and couldn’t believe the 3.5 star rating. Hence, I thought it necessary to put in my 2 cents. The eggs in a tasty nest, make your own Bloody Mary, coffee and biscuit combo is perfect every time. There is no BS at this place, just the best food, great service and always satisfaction. Thank you Pork Store for setting the standard for a superior brunch experience.

The Pork Store Café remains one of the few restaurants in this area of the Mission that serves a great brunch menu without the pretense or the high prices. Who the heck wants to pay $ 15 for pancakes?! Not this girl! When I’m craving a huge plate of Crab Cake Benedict, slathered in delicious, buttery hollandaise sauce and served with a big pile of perfectly crisped hash browns, this is where I go. The service is prompt, friendly, and lacking in pretentiousness. This restaurant is WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE, and spacious enough that you’ll have a choice of multiple tables, too, not just«that one» wheelchair table in the corner! And you can sit indoors or out! My personal favorite place to sit is sort of in between, at a booth right next to the front windows, which can be opened on days with fair weather. The servers show up quickly to your table, bring you anything you need, check back at just the right frequency, and always make sure your coffee cup is full(free refills, as the Lord intended!). The burgers are juicy, large, and well-priced in a neighborhood that has seen massive price creeping in the past ten years, with burgers at certain other nearby restaurants climbing as high as $ 20!!! They don’t price gouge here, something that’s greatly appreciated, given the rapidly-changing geography of the Mission’s food scene! Great. Just writing this review has made me crave a big, juicy burger from the Pork Store. I guess I know what I’m having for lunch tomorrow!!!

I guess I had more higher expectations from the Pork Store Café. My friend and I came here on a Saturday morning and there was no wait.(That must say something about their breakfast/brunch food.) I had the Eggs in A Tasty Nest, which came with 2 eggs nestled in a bed of hashed browns with bacon, green peppers, tomatoes, onions, topped with cheddar cheese. Don’t get me wrong, the food was not that bad. I really liked how their hash browns were crispy on the inside and soft on the outside. Otherwise, I felt like there was nothing special about the food itself. I also got to try my friend’s chorizo. There was a lot of oil, unfortunately. :(If you’re into the regular, nonspecial breakfast/brunch type of food, Pork Store Café is for you. If not, I wouldn’t make a trip purposely to eat here when there are much more better and unique brunch restaurants a few blocks away.

This place is basically my second home. Like clockwork, every Saturday and/or Sunday morning, my friends and I gather here for our weekend brunch. Pork Store has seen me at my worst — scraggly hair, severe eye bags, a general sense of shame and guilt(as most 20 somethings experience every weekend morning). But, they take my friends and I with open arms, give us one of the best bloody marys in town, feed us, and send us on our way to sleep the day away. I couldn’t thank them enough. I’ve gotten into legitimate arguments with people who try to argue that Pork Store is «blah» or «just okay». Excuse me? Granted, Pork Store doesn’t have a «fusion» menu to wow every chef and food critic in San Francisco. It’s good ol’ fashion American brunch food, and they do it well! I’m a bit of a creature of habit, and I always get the Hashed Eggs Benedict — eggs benedict with corned beef hash. It’s absolutely delicious. One of my favorite benedict dishes in the city, and that’s saying something. The potato skins are incredible. The Tuna Sandwich is awesome for a lunch dish, and sometimes I’ll get the Tuna Melt if I’m feeling more daring. Major shout out to the Pulled Pork Sandwich, what the restaurant is named for. I’ve had it a few times and really enjoyed it. Still, I’m addicted to the Hashed Benny. On the weekends, you can make your own bloody mary! I make mine about as spicy as possible, with lime and extra horseradish. It’s the best, but I always need a tic tac after! My favorite breakfast spot in San Francisco, hands down.

There is no shortage of brunch places in Berkeley. However, they are all about having dishes with any combination of the words local, organic, vegan, gluten free, free range, kale, kombucha, etc. and sometimes forget about things like taste and satisfaction. Even the diner closest to my apartment is a vegetarian diner. Serious question: Can you legally be called a diner if you don’t serve real bacon? I think the answer should be no. At any rate, when my friend invited me to get brunch with her at a place called Pork Store Café, I immediately assented to meeting her there. The food at Pork Store Café did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken fried steak which came with two eggs, hash browns, and two biscuits. The chicken fried steak had a crisp, well-seasoned breading and was cooked perfectly. I’m from the South, so I prefer ranch gravy on my chicken fried steak, but the brown poultry gravy that they used was decent, so I have no complaints about it. The eggs, hash browns, and biscuits were solid too. It was a delicious and filling meal. I also had a mango mimosa which was surprisingly pretty strong. The service wasn’t great. We waited about 15 minutes after our plates were taken away before we received the check. I would still recommend this place if you are looking for a good no-frills brunch in the city.

I got really excited when this spot came up on my Unilocal map, but was disappointed by the service and food. Maybe I went on a bad day, but that should never be an excuse. There was a variation of servers. A guy then a girl sat me at my table right by the window. The table was still dirty from the previous patrons, so I waited a short bit for them to clean it, which was perfectly fine. What bothered me was that they barely made much eye contact or conversation.(I mean alright, I don’t need to be woo’d into coming here but I do feel like the experience will be nice if I am meant to feel welcomed to you establishment). I was given a menu and meant to order bacon but I ended up seeing Corned Beef Hash on the menu and got excited to give it a shot. Corned Beef Hash($ 4.25, as a side) Grits($ 2.50 as a side) Tea($ 2.50, Mighty Leaf bag) I was disappointed with the corned beef hash. my heart sank as I saw it came straight from the can(and if it didn’t, please enlighten me!), however it was sure cooked nicely, folded over with the outsides all crusted. Also got a side of Grits, which was served with butter and was as expected. Throughout my dining experience, yes a server came in to check on me, but not once did anyone ask to refill my tea(which was in a tall clear glass, so you could easily spot this from across the room). My tea was $ 2.50, one of those Mighty Leaf bags, who wouldn’t want to enjoy a second helping of hot water to enjoy this further? I almost gave this 3 stars but downed it to 2 after I just explained my experience just now, because of the lack of good customer service. I just realized I overtipped and am not planning to come back to this establishment even if it’s located so conveniently near an office I frequent.

Pork Store Café is a cozy diner place which is great for both brunch and lunch, but I highly recommend the brunch. There is something about this place that I really like, but can’t put my finger on(maybe it’s their staff, their location, their menu?) They have both inside and outside seating, but the outside seating is limited to only few tables whereas they have lots of seatings inside. Inside they also have TVs, and sometimes people come here to watch games. Ok, now let’s talk food. Food will not be the highest quality, but to be honest it’s pretty darn good. Especially, their brunch menu will definitely not disappoint you. The portions are huge, and the prices are fair. The service is so fast and friendly here. On regular days that they are not too busy, they serve your food in less than 10 minutes. My favorite brunch items: + Eggs In A Tasty Nest + Chicken Fried Steak + Vegetarian Omelet My favorite Sandwiches: + Cajun chicken sandwich + New York Style Rueben

I don’t know the name of the server or bus boy, but they are the sweetest and most attentive people I have ever encountered. I had the sliders and they were delicious! Shredded pork was my favorite!

If you’re going for brunch, you have to make a decision. Do you want a hipster breakfast with sous vide eggs and exotic ingredients? Or do you want a filling diner breakfast before you go to fall asleep in the sun on the hill in Dolores Park? If the answer to #2 is yes, then come here. They have a serious selection of diner style breakfasts. All selection of eggs, hash browns, toasts, biscuits, in any variety you want. The food is tasty, filling, and in large portions. There are a few tables outside on 16th street, but most are inside. We managed to snag an outside table, which if the weather is nice(as it almost always is here), is well worth it both for comfort and as a people watching spot. I recommend it if possible. You just need to be really clear about what your expectations are before coming here. Is it fancy? No. Is it hipster? No. Is it a delicious, meaty, diner style breakfast? Yes. I think the bad reviews seem to be just from people expecting something else.

Real homey breakfast restaurant in the heart of the Mission. It’s great because it’s not pretentious like Mission Beach Café(although they are quite delicious!). Pork Store is just a great place if you want to get a regular American breakfast!
