Its one of those study-able coffee shops with decent coffee. Its good for studying alone unless you plan to be outside. They have very small tables inside usually for one person and dim lighting. They have a bunch a outlets under the seats. Outside in the patio are a bunch of bar tables and sofas. Their coffee taste great. The only negative here is that their wifi seems to restrict me from going on certain websites that are very widely use. Overall, I would still comeback to work alone.

The artwork on the walls is interesting, and the shop itself is comfortable. However, the coffee is bitter, and there are dogs inside. Is that legal in norcal? Because it’s not in socal.

Came for the wifi but the connection just Doesn’t Work… The bartender was helpful and provided an alternative but in the end I still couldn’t get connection. The coffee on the other hand was pretty good.

Awesome place to work out of with reliable and fast wi-fi. Awesome coffee and a very good atmosphere. Lightning is perfect. The only downside is that it is rather small, so most of the time you have to wait for a spot. This can be a problem if you are trying to get some work done and need an outlet spot. Seats are comfortable.

With 2 – 3 hours to kill before heading to the airport, I was looking for a coffee shop where I could park it and work for a while. After reading reviews of lots of other places, it didn’t seem like I’d ever find a place WITHOUT pretentious baristas, tiny tables, and horribly overpriced drinks… until Unilocal led me to Stanza. Yay! Bonus points that it was very easily accessible by BART(16th& Mission) and only a few blocks from the station, so I didn’t have to lug around my bags too far. Two of my must-haves for a coffee shop to make it on my «traveling office» list is that there’s reliable wifi and plenty of outlets available: Stanza’s got both. I also enjoyed that the tables are a decent size per person — sometimes tables for 1 or 2 people are miniature, with barely enough room to fit one laptop, let alone two. These were decent sized tables with enough room to spread out a laptop and all of my other stuff. The barista was friendly, greeted me as soon as I came up to the counter, and had my cappuccino ready fairly quickly. 5 stars for the cappuccino alone; it’s one of my top 3 that I’ve ever had. One of the staff even came around with free cookies before I left. Woohoo! I was there on a weekday morning/early afternoon so it wasn’t too crowded. In fact, I felt right at home hanging out with about 6 – 8 other folks who had been working there all morning: Usually, I’m wary of ever leaving my stuff alone at a coffee shop(ie. whenever I need a bathroom break) but I didn’t have any problems doing so here. Can’t wait to come back!

Nice place, very trendy looking if you’re into that. They made me a great breve latte!

The café is located near the bart/muni station on 16th street& mission, so it is convenient to stop by. We ordered: Iced Thai tea: 3⁄5(looks cute in mason jar but due to ice, portion was small) and Hot chocolate: 4⁄5 — very creamy and just the right amount of sugar! Ambience: nice lighting —(just wished the space was bigger), dog friendly, many people working on laptops, and chill baristas. They also had some dutch coffee & drip coffee stations

Amazing coffee. I discovered this place after trying to find some new top-notch coffee beans to try at home for my espresso, and came across Turning Point Coffee. Stanza uses/sells their beans, and oh man. it’s some good stuff. Their espresso had a bright, fruity acidity to it, and it tastes perfect in their lattes as well.

Great vibe and plenty of seating. I really like their hot chocolate. It was very creamy and not too sweet, also didn’t burn my mouth when I sipped it. The price was also reasonable($ 3.5−5 per drink). I stayed here for 2 hours or so and didn’t hear any songs on repeat.

Great little coffee shop in the Mission. Not as popular as four barrel or any of the crazy trendy spots. I’m still not sure exactly why people come from all over the world to drink a cup of $ 6 coffee, but whatever. They have delicious drip coffee. They also have espresso drinks, but the drip coffee is the specialty. My personal favorite is the cold brew coffee. Iced coffee is so 1999 compared to cold brew. FYI — if you haven’t had it you can’t add any milk or creamer. It’s most delicious plain… it’s all about the true flavor of the coffee. Atmosphere — Stanza has a fair amount of seating. A few seats are outdoors in the front and the remainder are inside. Cute décor, simple and hipster-ish. Food — they have pastries, but no prepared food. Summary — great neighborhood coffee spot. Perfect place to stop in the morning before hopping on the Bart at 16th and Mission.

Good coffee. I can’t figure out the vibe here. I mean, the coffee is good. The patio could be cleaned more often. But the vibe… I don’t get it. I never know what to wear to this place. Is it boho or hip-chic or … hat or no hat? I don’t know! The coffee is good. Bön appetit!

Cute, hipster café that serves hipster coffee. What do I mean by hipster coffee? I mean this hipster SF obsession with«bright» lighter coffee roasts that translate into acidic in my mouth. And also, they only have milk and almond milk. Seemed strange to me that they did not have any soy milk, which to me is a more natural dairy alternative, but oh well. I ordered a cappuccino and my brother ordered an espresso. The cappuccino was good – held a nice latte art rose which suggests that the almond milk was foamed well and it was well balanced. However, the espresso had no milk to cut the«brightness» of the coffee which turned into, as my brother described, what tasted like hot vinegar. Yes, I understand that some coffee blends have some acidity but espresso should never be compared to vinegar in my opinion.

I stopped by here for a quick coffee break with a colleague. It’s a bit dark once you step inside, but I thought this added to the relaxed atmosphere. They have a small(but tasty!) selection of pastries by the register. I ordered a cranberry orange scone and a chocolate walnut cookie, and both really hit the spot on a Monday morning. There is also a really cute outdoor area in the back with lots of tables and comfy chairs. I could definitely see myself chilling outside with some friends on a warm day. Only thing that I didn’t like was that the wait for our drinks was a bit long. There was only one order ahead of us, so I didn’t understand why it took them so long.

The award for best almond croissant and study spot in San Francisco goes to Stanza Coffee. Seriously, their almond croissants are delicious! Perfectly flakey exterior and soft(but not mushy) interior. And Stanza is a great study spot; there is plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor, PLUS free wi-fi(which I don’t feel like a lot of SF coffee shops offer, for whatever reason). Not deserving of 5-stars(yet) because their almond latte was unusually bitter/burnt. Maybe next time!

The moment you walk into Stanza, you’ll know the coffee here is good. It’s a little dark for a café but I absolutely love the edgy, today is a fresh start feel it induces. I got the cappuccino and it was just as I imagined. Perfect to the core!

Really love this place. my almond milk latte was light and airy but still very flavorful. I have been here twice in the last month and have been impressed but visits. Will definitely come again. I also like how it feels very open, it doesn’t ever look super packed so you can come in and find a table, and their beans are good quality. Do come by and visit… it’s fantastic!

Pretty good coffee and friendly baristas, but for me, the best thing about this place is the plentiful outlets and seating(as long as you don’t go during peak weekend hours), and the reliable WiFi. It’s dark inside unlike a lot of other hipster coffee shops in the city, but comfortable. Overall a great place to get some work done on your laptop for a few hours while sipping on some coffee

I was looking for a place that had great wifi to do some work… Too few of these in the mission. Anyway, I found this café through Unilocal and decided to try it out. Good wifi, decent latte, but it just doesn’t seem like the owner gave much thought in designing the space. Don’t think I will be back again.

I love coming here before working in the Mission. Their coffee is on par with Blue Bottle and Ritual. But to be fair, I have only really had their lattes and mochas. I am addicted to their walnut chocolate chip cookie and their morning muffins aren’t bad, either. I was a little disappointed at their raspberry tart, though. :’(It wasn’t flaky enough for my tastes, and didn’t taste as good as the other two. But I’ve still got so many other pastries to try! *edit* Gotta knock it down a star. They sell these ham and cheese pastries that are cold, and do not provide a microwave to heat them up. They say it tastes better without heat. I say, bullshit. It did not taste good at all. I’ll stick to the overall excellent coffee they have and the walnut choco cookie/ginger blueberry muffin.

Hipster much? Well it’s San Francisco, I should’ve known better. I tried to order a skinny late, but they only had 2% milk. Like come on no skim milk for God’s sake! Whatever… Got the 2% late, came well designed in a beautiful cup but tasted horrible, one sip and I was done. Maybe because I’m not used to 2% milk and found it too heavy or maybe it was bad in general, I don’t know… The place actually looks kinda cool, the music though can get on your nerves that God for my headphones and Norah Jones on repeat. The internet is beyond slow. Nothing would open. I couldn’t do any of my work, the late wasn’t good, so I packed and left!

The Mission is blessed with a slew of coffee shops and one would think that it shouldn’t be hard to find a peaceful corner to read a book in. Wrong. I went to at least 2 coffee shops in the area and almost gave up, until Stanza Coffee. The back patio is a refuge from the craziness(and crazies!) that is 16th st. The baristas could be a TAD friendlier, but I got my chai latte quickly, sat down and read my book. Wifi is complimentary for you folks who don’t like talking to other people.

Great, quality cup of coffee. Cool, hip, dark grungy environment with mostly hard metal type music playing while I was there, making it a little hard to work without headphones. Upside was that it never got too crowded, there were plentiful plugs, decent wifi, and always an open table to sit. Would probably not be the best place to take someone you want to impress /high maintainence /a business meeting. Definitely somewhere to take your hipster friends to impress.
