I adore the pizza from here it is a dream and the best I’ve had in San Francisco that compares to pizza from Europe and Rome. Love it so much!!!

Came home so hungry I was getting a headache… grab phone hit food app and Oz Pizza springs up. Nice menu, and after a bit of a think I order a feta cheese black olive pizza, a bit of sausage. Soon pizza delivered, hot and so good to my nostrils and stomach. First bite confirms nose: excellent feta, really creamy and flavorful. Just a memory now, but the smile still lingers… Enjoy!

Pretty good pizza at a very fair and convenient price. If you just want a quick slice to go to satisfy the pizza craving this is a good place

Best NY style pizza in the west. I eat pizza all around the world and this is one of the best. Very friendly staff too. 6 stars

Pizza is good but somewhat pricy with a drink. The person in the counter accidentally gave me someone’s pizza. When I told him, he took it back. I don’t know what he did with the pizza so I was disturb about that. At least just give me the pizza. It was just awkward the way he approached and talked to me.

The pizza here is spectacular, the prices are reasonable, and their GLUTEN-FREE pies are fabulous as well! They also deliver pizza late at night, which is great for night owls such as myself! The guys who’ve delivered are very polite, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant itself is WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE, with indoor and outdoor seating. There are always at least 5 – 6 varieties of pizza slices available at any given time, and they are interesting flavors, not just the same old pepperoni or mushroom. There is a Creole-flavored Alligator pie, Ostrich, too, if you prefer… This is a pizzeria with options! I ordered their GLUTEN-FREE vegetarian pie, and it was immensely popular amongst my friends. I also really love getting their meatball and ricotta pie… mmmm!!! Ordering from them online via Eat24hrs makes life incredibly easy, too, for someone like me, who sometimes orders large numbers of pizzas for events, and submits the order a day or two in advance. As for me, what’s my favorite? Plain ol’ cheese pizza! Can’t beat the classics!!!

Went here for a late night bite after going out in the Castro. We were a little bit before the rush so we did not have to wait in line. This place has a wide range of pizzas, including one that has alligator on it. I decided to go with a slice of the Hawaiian pizza – it was a decent rendition and hit the spot after a night of drinking. It wasn’t the best pizza I have had, but it definitely was a large portion as I only ended up having one slice. Not anything super memorable, but not a bad spot for some grub after a night out.

Best pizza so far. Very similar to NY style. They have regular toppings as well as crazy ones such as alligator, kangaroo and ostrich. Gotta try those soon. Staff is way friendlier than other 2 places in Castro. I ordered for a delivery once it was fast and hot. They got macaron ice cream sandwich. Worth to die for it.

This place has the most tasteless pizza. Ever since Escape from New York left they must have taken the flavor with them. One star because now they do serve beer but the pizza sucked. We had pepperoni and the pesto, potato, garlic and both were bland. Never coming back.

Really enjoyed it! So far, It’s the best pizza I’ve tried in the area! Nice crust, nice everything! It was packed when I walked in around 7pm on a Tuesday night! I’d be really stressed out if i was the one behind the counter cuz it looked super busy but they were calm snd smiling! Impressive customer service and great taste! I grabbed a huge slice of pepperoni and a lagunitas on tap! Totally enjoyed it! This place is recommended for sure. Thumbs up!

Had pizza delivered. Not bad, but really just pretty average. They have some interesting pizzas with unique toppings like alligator meat and kangaroo meat(both of which are pricey for pizza), but we stuck with mostly classic pizzas. The crust was thin enough for the pizza to be somewhat floppy, which I liked, but still thick enough to hold together, and despite being pretty bland and flavorless, it was pretty fluffy and doughy, which I also liked. The pizzas were a little greasy, but that’s pretty typical for pizza. I would’ve liked a lot more tomato sauce though and a little less cheese. –CARNIVORE’S DELIGHT — 3⁄5 [pepperoni, sausage, salami and canadian bacon] Pretty standard/average meat lover’s pizza. Nothing super special, but there’s a good amount of meat. –POTATOPESTO — 3⁄5 [roasted golden yukon potatoes, garlic and pesto sauce] Meh. I was expecting more from this pizza, but I found it underwhelming. Oddly, I really liked the garlic. Lots of whole roasted garlic cloves but surprisingly didn’t taste too garlicky. –MOZZARELLAWITHARUGULA(custom) — 1⁄5 Super disappointing. I was expecting the pizza to be topped with arugula, but they cooked the arugula into the pizza, under the layer of cheese. There was barely any of it and since there was also barely any tomato sauce, it was just too much dough and cheese.

Stumbled upon this place while looking bite to eat, and was pleasantly surprised. Being from the east coast, I’m always wary of pizza places in this city because I’ve been let down too many times already(and always find myself wondering how can you get pizza wrong… but obviously, you can). But this place actually turned out to be okay. I really liked the eclectic type of pizzas they have. I ended up with a pesto pizza with sliced potatoes and garlic. It was really delicious and wish I would have gotten another slice. There was a line but it seemed to go pretty fast as well(so you’re in and out in a jiffy. But please note it takes a little longer for an entire pie). Definitely a must if you happen to be in the Castro district and looking for a quick bite to eat. Likes: –overall good pizza –variety of eclectic pizza options –fast service –inexpensive($ 5/slice) Dislikes: –some of the pizzas didn’t look the freshest(like the beet and cheese pizza… but then again, who wants a beet and cheese pizza?) –parking can be a bit difficult to find in this part of town(try going on a weeknight, if you’re interested in trying their pizza, or take public transportation)

Not a fan. Had the combo and it was 4.75 whereas a combo up the street was 4.20 and the combo included unique combinations! Also, the crust of this pizza was very think and full of flour. If it had flavor, would have been so much easier to finish up the slice. However, crust was extremely flavorless. A plus is the pizza had plentiful toppings and cheese(which made pizza very oily, so I suggest soaking the pizza with napkins first)! Additionally, I was very disappointed that they didn’t toast my pizza slice just like any ordinary pizzeria would have. I mean, the pizza was warm and all but it would have tasted more fresh and crunchy if toasted before given to me. All in all, my first experience here was not all that great. I hope to come back some time and update this review with possibly more compliments! For now, I suggest skip this and head up the street for some Marcello’s.

In the heart of the Castro on a chilly SF evening, OZ is a great place to get a specialty slice and a beer. Go traditional with the classics or exotic with flavors like alligator meat or kangaroo meat. I got a slice of the kangaroo and for $ 7 beats the airfare to Australlia. I was hoppy ;) with my choice. The people behind the counter are also friendly. I will go back!

I ordered a slice of cheese pizza today from Oz. It was a good sized piece of pizza. I also appreciated the fact that they added lemon to their ice water dispenser. Service was fine. The pizza was thin and crispy but I thought the sauce didn’t have much flavor. I paid $ 3.50.

The disappointing news is that this isn’t really a new restaurant, it’s definitely a minor update of the old Escape from New York Pizza. But update isn’t really the right word, they sort of stripped all of the personality out of it, and left the structural integrity intact. Good news is, escape from New York pizza was pretty good, so the product remains respectable. They definitely could’ve used a little more imagination though. Seriously, no designers in the Castro? Inconceivable! The style is way lacking.
