Kind of tasted like Papa Johns or something. I was not a fan. However, that is not to say that it was bad pizza. Just not my cup of tea.

Pizza was decent, but filling the sriracha bottle but some crappy watery alternative really annoyed me. At least put it in a blank bottle so I don’t drown my slice in lies.

After having an underwhelming experience at the North Beach location, I told myself that I probably wouldn’t step foot into another Nizario’s location again. a couple of years later, my boyfriend was craving pizza while I was at Little Sweet next door, so Nizario’s it was. The employees at Nizario’s are really friendly and absolutely great as they make you feel like you’re a longtime friend immediately as you step in. Nizario’s space is very modest, but they have enough seats if you want to grab something quick. My boyfriend and I shared a slice of pepperoni pizza and it was one of the best slices I’ve had in the city. I’m no pizza snob, but I do, however, know when a slice of pizza is great and Nizario’s has some really great pizza!

This place is awesome for late night. Listen, it’s not the best pizza ever, but they know what they are doing. late night after the local bars, it’s the best place to eat.

Quick, cheap, thick crusted pizza! Can’t go wrong with any slice! California and the Tijuana are my favorite. Order a side of ranch and an ice cold soda. They take card but I think there’s a $ 5 minimum. No worries though, just order another slice! PS don’t hog all the condiments at your table

I like the idea of eating a greasy slice of pizza after a long nite of imbibing, but nothing sounds appetizing when I’m in that woozy condition, thus, leaving me a famished mess the following day. That’s how I ended up here, at one of my favorite local pizza chains, in the middle of the day, inhaling root beer & a mushroom slice, & taking a Greko slice home for when I got hungry again(you know, in two hours.) I love Nizario’s perfect proportions of cheese, sauce, & toppings. Chewy, not-too-thick, not-too-thin crust. Delicious! (Only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the location; too much of a trek to be my usual haunt, but make no mistake, their pizza is top notch.)

Quick delivery, fresh pizza, really nice family owned place. Only gripe is that my order was slightly wrong — they switched a couple toppings on the pizza I ordered — but no harm no foul, it was still delicious.

The night is young. I hop on Unilocal(as I always do) and look for the nearest bar scene. Call an Über because I’m there’s no way I’m driving home tonight. Find a quaint little neighborhood bar called NorthStar Café in Telegraph Hill. Dance battles occur and witty banter with the locals. Lots of drinks happen… tequila shots, beers on draft, Guinness, more tequila shots. It’s getting blurry. Get to the jukebox, throw on some Journey, Don’t Stop Believin’ of course. It’s closing time, super wasted. Jump in another Über,“take me to get pizza…” He drives 2 blocks down, lol. Drops us off on a corner and points to a flickering neon light…“Nizario’s Pizza By the Slice”. Ninja Turtle Pizza You can’t go wrong with it. It’s so perfectly greasy to cure my drunkness and soak up the alcohol. Cheese oozing off of it just like in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I take a bit out of it and pure bliss. Hardly hold my hand steady enough to take a picture.

This place is a close walk from my apartment, so I figured I had to try it sooner rather than later. Their menu is pretty unique and they deliver. The chicken pesto is delicious as is the Nizario’s special. Overall a very good pizza joint in Inner Richmond.

This is my favorite pizza to order-in when we’re deciding to relax at home. Nizario’s does a regular crust on their pizzas(not too thin or too thick, my favorite) and I find that their toppings are good for a regular pizza joint. I usually order a plain cheese or pesto pizza. Their pesto pizza is awesome and is highly recommended by me. You wouldn’t be reading my review if you didn’t trust me, so take my word for it! Their cheesy garlic bread is also delicious. Their menu is pretty straightforward: pizzas, garlic bread, wings, and salad. They don’t dabble in sub sandwiches or pasta, so you know the focus is going to be on their other dishes. We order in from here 90% of the time, and orders are quick and delivery folks are nice, especially when they have to walk up three flights of stairs to get to us(thanks guys!). You can also pickup your pizza or stop by for slices(especially recommended if you’re next door at Buckshot and need a munchie).

Oi! It’s pizza. If you’re waiting for your milk tea from Little Sweet, chances are, the heavenly smell of pizza will arrive at your nostrils, and inevitably, you may think what I thought at near 1am: «Okay, maybe pizza and milk tea IS a good idea. Just one. Just one slice. Good.» Tiny place and will help you get your pizza fix all fixed up. It’s no Costco pizza, but it is open, which is awesome enough in itself. It’s forgettable, but hey, it’s pizza!

3.5. Russian roulette dinning anyone? All of you out there with kids, or a significant other that acts like a kid… let them do the ordering just one time and see what hot mess they come up with. Well I’m game so I put a bullet in the dinning chamber and let the youngin make the choice. Whatd I get… the Tijuana Pizza from Nizarios… yeah I know sounds like a donkeys involved. Pepperoni, Pineapple and Jalapenos is what this bad boy is all about really didnt sound good… and was okay… but I would def not order again. Nizarios is an okay pizza place. The crust is okay, toppings are okay, and overall build was fine. Would I go out of my way to dine here… probably not. But if you coming out of buckshot hammered… you could do far worse than this place.

Just a quick A-OK slice of pizza. Came out in just a few minutes and it tasted like pepperoni pizza. Not much else to say about it. Seemed like a reliable joint and it was cheap too. Gonna definitely keep it in mind if I’m in the area.

3.5STARS I’ve had Nizario’s many times throughout the years. After drinking at the former Alpha, I’d stop by for a slice to soak up all the booze. Last Friday, July 3rd, I got home a little late. Around 10pm. The roommate and I were lazy so we ordered pizza for delivery through Eat24( ). Nothing like pizza as a late night dinner option. *Chicken wings($ 6.50): 6 baked wings with ranch We got 2 orders as 6 wings is never enough for 2 people to share. Tasted like standard chicken wings. Reminded me of the frozen kind from Costco(which I like). It fulfilled my wing craving. *Cheese garlic bread($ 4.50): 8″ loaf cut in half with garlic-spread and cheese on both sides Some subtle garlic flavor. Nice amount of cheese. *Nizario’s special pizza($ 20 medium): pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onions, bell peppers This was the roommate’s pick. I liked the toppings, but I found the crust to be way too thick and bready. *Garlic chicken special pizza($ 14.48 small): garlic, chicken, pesto My pick. The garlic could have been roasted a little more as it was a little harsh. But I liked the thinner crust on this pizza. The chicken and pesto had great flavor. Good late night pizza delivery option. I remember loving their pesto and pepperoni slices back in the day. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Bready, doughy, but decent. This is a good late night option if you are out at Ireland’s 32 or are in transit from downtown to the Richmond District. There is minimal seating — just a few high tables and stools. This gets a lot of the student crowd. They also deliver quite late and have always been speedy. Nice veggie slices with greek toppings. Friendly guys.

I love Nizario, he is the best guy and is extremely nice! I have come to know him over the past 18 years I think it has been that I have been ordering pizza for delivery or coming in and getting pizza. It has been so long I lost track of how many years I have been coming here. I order the mushroom, hawaiian or the chicken garlic and pesto(California Special) all great choices! I can eat pizza for a week and not get tired of it ha! Nizario always asks me how I am doing and how is my mom and brothers. The place is small only 2 tables and a counter along the wall. Nazario’s is the best pizza in the Richmond district and the only pizza I like! The prices are inexpensive $ 3-$ 4 per slice and free delivery for pizzas. All the guys who work there are extremely nice.

The pizza was pretty good — I got the california which has feta, chicken, pesto and other toppings. I’m pissed because the employees were rude and after I paid $ 4 for a pizza slice wouldn’t give me ranch for free. It’s next to a bar called Buckeyes and is open late which is how I imagine they get most of their business. I recommend this place if you’re out late and in the area but I wouldn’t make a special trip here.

This place is ok. I am a huge pizza fan, and ill be up front and say i there is a fine line between deep dish and thin crust, and our beloved in between. I like a little more bend in my dough and crunch. The ingrediants are good, sauce is good, and the service was fine. Just not type of pie due to the crust. good work though guys. I can see why those who have a love for a more thicker crust go crazy for this spot.
