Great experience. The staff took the time to explain to me everything I needed to know about my condition, the course of action, and the next step. I’ve scheduled my next couple visits and do not regret changing from my previous dentist to Dr. Nip

I had an amazing visit with Dr. Nip today, The entire staff was professional and made me feel very cared for. I had not seen him before and he is my HMO. I was having a dental emergency and I stopped by on a desperate whim and they took xrays and I was seen by him in between patients. For years I have been going to different dentists yearly. I am pleased to say that I found one that I really like.

I just read the other reviews on here and feel I must share my own awesome experience. When my insurance changed and I came to see Dr. Nip, I felt so cared for and the staff was very professional and broke down everything(accurately) for me. Prior teeth cleanings were painful for me, and I was pleasantly surprised that when Dr. Nip cleaned my teeth I had no pain at all! And he did it on my first visit. On a subsequent visit, he replaced a filling that I had to replace repeatedly at another dentist, and this filling has stayed put! I actually enjoy going to see Dr. Nip and his staff, and really appreciate their care and professionalism. I’m staying!

As an update, I have been to two dentists after this guy who both gave me clean bills of health. I was told that I have perfect teeth and gums and there was no need for the not covered expensive procedure that Dr. Nip recommened. I haven’t even had a cavity in the 2 years since I wrote the original review.

I do not trust this dentist who is my DHMO provider. I found it awfully strange when the receptionist told me that this initial appt did not include a cleaning«unless he has time.» Then the dentist out right refused to provide some basic annual services such as x-rays and regular cleaning until he performs the $ 1,300($ 580 co-payment) procedure(deep cleaning and antibacterial rinse). He says it is because my teeth will«all fall out» and I cannot wait until three months until my coverage will be larger. Although the priority of treatment is logical, I feel that it is unnecessary to scare people this way. Additionally, my last dental appt was only 9 months ago. How could things have taken a turn into hell so quickly? He sounds more like a used car sales person. My gut tells me he just doesn’t want to put out the money he has gotten month after month since I’ve signed up in Dec 07 for him to be my provider. He’s no fool, but I’ll be if I ever go back! Incidentally, he charges $ 40 for cancellations without 48 hours notice.
