Super expensive given the quality of the service and amount of salad you get and«silent» menu changes. You have to read what salad contains ever day, since they are known to change ingredients without notice.

I’ve been coming to this lunch spot basically every day for the past few months and was ok with the price because the ingredients are really good quality. However, recently, they’ve started making the salads way smaller than they used to. I mean, if you’re going to charge $ 16 for a salad, you should at least fill up the container. Now, with Proper Foods having opened nearby, and Focaccia just across Market St(their ingredients aren’t quite as good but they give you a ton of salad), it’s getting really hard to justify Mixt Greens. It’s just not worth it anymore.

~$ 12 for a ridiculous amount of lettuce/greens and a small amount of chicken /avocado. Kept me relatively full for a while, dressing pretty tasty — but would’ve liked more substantial protein DIY salads always intrigue me for some reason. It’s healthy, fast and fresh — it’s not bad, but I think you can get a better salad at the ferry building for the same price TLDR: lots of greens, light toppings. Quick takeout

Those with trust funds or extra cash to burn might enjoy a mediocre salad after waiting in a lengthy line of downtown office workers. I tried their salads twice and not looking forward to the third one. Dropped $ 14+ for a salad that was not that good. Will check out other local options.

Shade Of All Greens! If like me you are struggling to maintain, and occasionally reduce, the size of your belt, eating lots of greens for lunch is probably a very good idea! Wondering where you can get fresh and delicious greens(and other colors) that you can pick and chose to mix for a delicious salad? Mixed Greens has the answer! I usually make it easy for myself and just go with one of their regular salads like the Cowboy, but you can pick you can get creative if you want and invent your own salad too! If a salad is not enough, they do have sandwiches as well. I like the Disco and Rooster, but there is always the Royal and the Farmer too!

This food establishment is terrible. It was my first time at mixt greens so I am not familiar with their menu. I ordered the rooster sandwich and noticed that the lady preparing my food forgot the basil pesto. She added thyme dressing to the arugula in the sandwich. And later put on the basil pesto. I found that odd since the menu didn’t state thyme in it. When I asked the cash folks if thyme dressing is supposed to be mixed in the sandwich they all looked at me confused. It seems that no one was familiar with that sandwich. One cashier pulled out the menu and read me the ingredients listed on it. I informed her that thyme is not listed and asked if it should be. Both her and the other cashiers had no idea. They asked me if I wanted one re-made and I took them up on their offer. When I saw it re-made, I once again saw the thyme dressing in it. It seemed that the staff was just frustrated at me for asking how the sandwich Is supposed to be. I was pretty sure that the second order didn’t put the basil pesto again — one of the listed ingredients in it. The cashier later said that the basil pesto is in the bread and the thyme is supposed to be in it. My question was why would they make the same sandwich the exact same way that was sent back? I was very confused. While I’m not positive about this, I was standing in front of the cashiers and their conversation want something along the lines of why not try something new? The answer to that was haters are going to hate. Seriously? When I told them that thyme is once again in the sandwich(not something I’m opposed to, but just wanted clarification), they then told me that’s how it’s made in a really annoyed tone. I was even more confused and frustrated at the lack of professionalism. I chose not to give this place a chance again. While thyme isn’t something that I don’t eat, I think that if I asked them to exclude an ingredient, that ingredient should be excluded. What if I had a food allergy to that? One other reviewer wrote about her concerns with food allergies that this place. I would not go back to this place.
Why aren’t I here every day? Amazing big salads with fresh ingredients that you can tailor to whatever your body’s whim is. Great to see all the suit people tearing into a big fresh bowl of leaves. A little pricy but a salad every day keeps the doctor away — from his dream of that third vacation dream home in Bermuda.

This is a review specifically for the ways that this team handles allergens and cross contamination. To be clear, the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, the ingredients all seem to be of good quality, and they offer a lot of options without an untenable wait time. I’ve enjoyed many of my Mixt Greens salads. However, I always leave wondering if my allergies are going to be triggered. I don’t think it’s fair to expect a volume establishment such as this one to be able to accommodate special, allergy related requests during their rush, so when I go, I show up at 10:45, when the place is effectively empty. Obviously, I don’t order any ingredients that are in close proximity to say, the croutons, where contamination is a foregone conclusion. But I do ask them not to place any of my salad ingredients on the counter(or scoop any lettuce that fell out back into the bowl), where they have been cutting bread or there are bits of corn floating around, and request no dressing because I don’t trust the ingredients. I also make my allergies known immediately and every time. And yet, every time someone asks me if I want bread. Or puts bread on my salad and then gives me a dirty look when I ask them to remake it. So, overall, I think Mixt Greens is a solid spot for days I forget my homemade lunch, but I wish there was a little bit more training on allergen awareness.

Yes it’s pricey and they tax you extra, but the salads and sandwiches are always good. I usually come here once a week for lunch. They’re pretty fast too, especially during the busy lunch hour. My only beef is that when you order a sandwich, the dressing they give you with the free salad is awful.

Not overly impressed, but I will probably give them a few more shots based on convenience alone. If you want a healthy option near Rincon center, this is a decent one. The ingredients are good and salads are tasty when made correctly. The only reason I am not currently giving more stars is that the service isn’t that great(often salads are made incorrectly and/or they don’t give enough protein) and the prices are a bit steep for what you’re getting. Also, they only take online orders for deliveries over $ 150 and takeout over $ 75 — assuming you order before 10:30am on the right day of the week. This is ridiculously finicky for a restaurant catering largely to office workers within a two block radius.

I am currently following the strict Body Ecology Diet suggested by my naturopathic doctor. This means I have to make all my breakfasts and lunches and bring them to work. It’s a lot of work! And with part-time university studies in addition to work, sometimes I am quite short on time. Mixt Greens saved my ass on a day that I didn’t have time to prepare my own food!!! They are also dedicated to serving the healthiest food possible. Therefore, I cannot recommend them highly enough. They even ask you if you want heavy, medium, or light dressing. I am not as impressed with their salad combinations, but the solution to that is to build your own, which they also offer. I would love them even more if they offered organic tempeh, wild shrimp, and wild salmon. I got the«Vegan Cleanse» salad with light dressing and added marinated tofu. It kept me going and made me a super paralegal for the afternoon! :)

Long lines down the sidewalk during peak lunch hour. Moves quickly so nothing to be deterred about. Expensive but good salads, the quality of which really depends on the guy who is putting your order together. For example, there’s one guy who will always give you the opposite of what you ask for: No bread? Okay here’s a piece of bread. Light dressing? Okay here’s some extra heavy dressing so your salad will be more like a soup. Avocado? okay let me mash it into an indiscernible pulp so you can’t even tell it’s there. Oh, the Zen salad usually has spicy peanuts, but meh I’ll leave it out this time around. And I’ll toss in some other ingredients that aren’t supposed to be there like cucumbers and chickpeas. If you have food allergies, this is not the place for you. Lots of cross contamination.

Ummm, pretty awesome. mostly because we don’t have anything similar in Indianapolis(surprising right? not really) Plenty of options on the menu to keep you going back or find something that suits what you are looking for on any given day. I got the cowboy and substituted Ranch instead of whatever was supposed to come with it. They whipped it up quickly and one i went with my $ 14 salad and chips(quit complaining about $ its a big city). There was HUGE line that took us maybe 15 minutes to get through. This amazed me. as, again… the line was HUGE. The workers get it done quickly and don’t mess around. I’ll be back for lunch next time I’m in the area.

This place is down the street from my office, so I’ve come here a few times. I’m not a big salad fan, but this place puts a lot of goodies in here, so I enjoy coming here. The line is usually out the door, but it goes by very fast. My favorite salad is the Park, which has Chicken, Brussel Sprouts, Potatoes, and Pumpkin Seeds. They ask you how much dressing you want, which is really nice because I like very light dressing. They will also ask if you want a piece of bread. It’s definitely pricey though, as I think I usually pay about $ 13 for a salad.

I happened to be in the area after a class and noticed that there was a short line at this particular Mixt Greens. They luckily seemed to have all of the ingredients I usually put on my salad(they often run out after busy rush periods). They asked if I wanted dressing and if I’d want it light, medium, or heavy. I told them medium. I turned away quickly and before I knew it — my salad was done and handed to me. I noticed that the guy making my salad — was putting down an empty looking dressing bottle. I wish I’d looked at the salad closer– because by the time I made it back to my office — I realized that there was basically no dressing on the salad. It was dry and very bland. I left most of it and unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to head back to Mixt Greens to ask for more dressing. I know that these things happen — but paying almost 12 dollars for a salad that you can’t finish isn’t cool. The guy making my salad — should have grabbed a new bottle in the back — rather than rushing the process — or at least explained that they were out of salad dressing and checked in to see if I wanted something different — rather than knowingly handing over an undressed salad. I won’t be returning to this location. Trust.

My go to place for lunch when I want something healthy. I probably should go here more often instead of having one of the barrage of unhealthy options that are around here. The salad is always fresh, every single ingredient is fresh. IT does cost a pretty penny. Paying 12 – 14 dollars for a salad is definitely on the high side, but getting lunch anywhere in the city cost that much. Every salad i have had has been pretty good with the cowboy, raw, park, maui being on the top of the list. Go hear, get full and feel good about your lunch, although go light on the dressing, that not the healthy part.

This place is directly under my office. By 12:30 everyday there is usually a huge line — I wish I owned the place b/c I bet it makes tons of money and it is only open for lunch M-F. The salads are expensive but enough for 2 meals. I got the seasonal one with roasted brussels sprouts, chicken, pumpkin seeds and potatoes. I do wish they chopped the chicken a little smaller for better distribution. I also would like them to offer a «chopped» option — say for $ 1 they would really chop it up for easier eating. The ice tea I got was also very good and so was the Molasses cookie.

By far the best salad bar I’ve seen in SOMA so far… The variety of salad offerings is off the beaten path I can’t rave enough about how Mixt Greens makes it so easy to adopt the healthy dietary lifestyle! Love it! Go getcho greens!!!

I have to comment that their logo is creative and very fitful to its name! The place is very green, healthy and a great choice to get your freshly tossed up salad on! For more or less $ 10 – 13(average for a lunch in this area), you can customize your salad or order up the one that is decided for you on the menu! I got their Hatch because I was indecisive on what to put in my salad. The Hatch offered up chicken and kale as two of their many whole ingredients in that salad, so I figured I love them both — then get that one! Their chicken is flavored and crisp-ed nicely and the salad is enjoyable on a sunny day! Their dressing tasted very nice. I opt for the medium option on dressing. They ask if you want small, medium or large on your dressing toss up! Mixt Greens — fabulous for health, nice to hit the spot for lunch and not too heavy on the stomach to make oneself groggy — I like!
