This is the seediest place ever. The 29 year old Thai bartender Fernie got my friend drunk by offering and making her rounds of shots and then she proceeded to charge us for the shots SHE offered to my friend. This is not ok. You can’t make and offer someone drinks or pose a drink as if its complimentary and then charge a person for it after they’re f***ed up. That is a scam. They also charged automatic gratuity and we were only a group of 4. We didn’t realize until later that night because we had to leave quickly because our friend got too drunk from the«free» drinks. Don’t go here. If you have to, because your mother’s life depended on it, watch your back and go over your entire bill closely. Also, the cocktails are watered down/have little to no alcohol in it.

They are getting a one star for their horrible customer service. This restaurant closes at 2am but they started kicking us out at 1:45am. It takes time to take our stuff to leave, but they were kicking us out like we had to get out right away when it wasn’t even 2 yet. After we got kicked out, 30 minutes later they let other people in like they were having a party. If you leave before 1:45 then I think it isn’t a bad place to go. They are also extremely strict about outside drinks so make sure you don’t bring any or you will have to throw it away. Even very small containers of water are not allowed.

This place bring good old memories along the way until now, good place to chill after work or when you’re stressed… So far, the waitresses and bartenders are really friendly, made few friends with them back then. xD

Alright guys. Here’s the deal. You rent out a Kareoke room for a minimum. It’s not unlimited drinks or food for x amount. U have to spend at least that x amount. Seriously? It’s like bottle service at a club. Table min for example is one bottle or 280 $ not including tax or tip. You can buy a cheapy vodka for 280 $ or get a Hennessy for 380 $ check the menu. Like any place you go to. If your buying a 380 $ of Hennessy. Your not getting it for 280 $. The room is 280 $ which includes alcohol or food. So to get that price you’d buy idk like 28 shots of Hennessy? Plus tax and tip. So your total is what 308 $? Research your bars and Kareoke spots before u go.

Pretty bad customer service for an hospitality place. We went there for my friend’s birthday party. First they forgot the reservation we made for a karaōke room and we had to wait 1 and half hours for the room to free up. Then once the room was available it smelled really bad because there toilet want properly cleaned and the door was left open. They also had three bouncer checking up on us all night like we are been too loud in a private room at a karaōke place. At 2am when the place courses they asked us to leave, but the bouncer was having a big attitude because my friend had a wine bottle with her which was a birthday gift from me.

Avoid like the plague. Went here with a bunch of friends to celebrate a birthday and they nearly ruined our night. I’m hard pressed to think of another place I’ve been to that treats customers like ****. To start off, even though we’d made a reservation and showed up right on time, we were told they didn’t know anything about it. After speaking to the management, it turns out they did receive it but it some how fell through the cracks. They made us wait for an hour for the next room to become available, during which we had to buy our own drinks.(which by the way are terrible). Once in the room, we struggled to use the horribly designed song selection interface. The acoustics were horrible, and the screens display complete random footage that has nothing to do with the songs being played. The thing also crashed at some point and we had to get them to restart it. Now the bill comes, and it’s a whopping $ 100 more than the $ 300 advertised and agreed upon. Reading the reviews I now realize this is an ongoing scam. Anyway, we suck it up and pay(they refuse to split the bill more than three ways, btw) and as soon as we do we are literally kicked out by the bouncers(it was almost 2 am). They were inexplicably rude and impatient trying to get us out even though there were about 20 other patrons hanging out by the bar undisturbed, I went and spoke to the manager about our unfair treatment and he was so incredibly cavalier and unapologetic it made us furious. No one here speaks decent English, by the way. And now I just saw the reviews mentioning the two-way mirror in the ladies restroom! SERIOUSLY? WTF?!!

Likes: large karaōke room upstairs, a long sofa of comfortable seating but you’re all sitting in one row, rate was $ 60/hr which wasn’t bad for a large group and there’s no mandatory drink purchases like other places. lady was nice after she showed us how the system worked. Dislikes: wasted a good ten minutes in the beginning because the lady didn’t teach us how to use their system so we were trying to figure it out ourselves. also you have to stand in front next to the tv in order to select and add songs because there’s a mouse connected to their computer system that you have to use. plus lots of korean version of the sons so avoid those or else you’ll hear a lot of instrumentals.

We visited Milo Lounge to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The employee took us to the karaōke room that was available for our group and explained the pricing. We could pay by hour for the room and all drinks would be in addition, OR we could pay $ 160 to reserve the room all night and that included bottles, beer and wine, all chasers and food. We were shocked at what a good deal this seemed to be and asked clarifying questions multiple times from several different people. We wanted to be sure we understood correctly, as the woman who was explaining to us didn’t speak the clearest English. After confirming we understood correctly, we accepted the offer and had a great time for a few hours. The actual karaōke machine was very hard to use and the sound was pretty bad, but we had fun anyway. At the end of the night, we went to pay and to our surprise the bill was close to $ 400. After an hour of trying to explain that is not what we agreed to, the police were called. The Manager of Milo and the lady who sold us the deal were in denial of the deal they communicated. The police helped negotiate the bill down a bit to something we hesitantly agreed to, just for the sake of getting out of this place in a respectable way. I definitely wouldn’t recommend going to this establishment. They will definitely rip you off and hustle you. You could tell they had done it before to other customers. The language barrier didn’t help and we should have known not to trust a deal that good.

I recently visited this place while I visited San Fransisco and boy were we in for a surprise. *BEWARE!!! We had a party of five and we wanted to celebrate my wife’s birthday with an evening of karaōke. The waiter who was from Kowloon, China said that we can enjoy the room all night if we paid $ 160 which would include one bottle of Hennessy and unlimited non alcoholic drinks. I summarized what she said and she understood what I said. We both agreed that for the price of $ 160 we would take the room and enjoy the evening. When it was time to get the bill, the bill came to $ 384. The waiter said that is the right pricefor the room. I asked to speak to a manager and Andy who is the manager of Milo lounge came out and was very rude to us. Andy stated how was he supposed to make money if he only charges $ 160 for the room. This is a classic case of them trying to hustle customers. It got really tense and we started to feel uncomfortable while being at Milo lounge. I asked the security guard to please call the police because we felt threatened. We call the police as well and then they finally arrived. At the end of the day it was our word versus the price on the menu. After talking to the police officers that this happens quite often. After living in Asia for the past five years I have gone to karaōke lounges multiple times and even frequented them throughout the states. It’s a shame that people like this ruin the karaōke industry. Buyer beware, Please save your money, do some research and do not spend your evening here unless if you want to be intimidated.

Came here for a drink and because it’s a karaōke bar…10pm on a Thursday… dead. We were the only customers. The first girl that helped us was nice. Chatted up with us a bit then 10 minutes later, a supposed bartender barged in. Moving around fixing stuff like she was crazy busy when no one is here! 10:30pm still no one but us. Not even a hello… do you need something else. Wouldn’t come here again but we’re on vacation so whatever. Later. Lol

Looking for a place open late? After 2 am. Come and stop by this place and check it out. They serve a few apps and affordable drinks which are pretty strong. They also serve BBQ chips while you are at the bar drinking and you can bring food outside and eat it inside. They have karaōke upstairs if you would like to sing the night away. Will definitely check this place out after everything else is closed in the city.

Always a pleasure hanging at Milo lounge. Though they have discontinued the happy hour, it’s always fun to stop by in the evening to check out the scene, get server beer by pretty hostess girls, chat up a conversation with the other patrons, play dice games and try your latest Karaōke song. The club seems to wax and wane in popularity but don’t let that deter you as the space seems to fill up on a whim, especial later in the evening and on weekends. There are several other bars in the vicinity that make for a proper bar hop when one place gets boring. There are private booths upstairs and it’s my dream to rent this whole place out for a party one year, I hope they stay around in one form or another…

Came here recently for a girls night out, and found it to be really chill– mostly mainstream hiphop music playing, with a few people here and there. There are lots of couches to lounge around in, tables with games, and a bar area. My friend recommended the«Asian dream» drink, and it’s really good(but strong). I would definitely recommend it. I had a good time playing the dice game here and sipping my drink. The only downside is the apparent«two-way» mirror in the bathroom that I read about here on Unilocal.I can’t verify if this is true, but I did notice a huge mirror facing the toilet as I was using it. So. I don’t think I’ll be back.

This is not a korean bar. No soju or Hite here. Came on a Saturday night and it wasn’t busy. The place is able to accommodate large parties. Large couches upstairs. Darts, beer pong, dice game & karaōke rooms.

Its a lounge and karaōke place. Came here after dinner. When you first walk in, it was like a medium dim lighting/purplish color. Theres two level. Main floor is the bar, lounge/dart game, and i think there was one karaōke room. Upstair is more like a private karaōke and lounge area for larger group. We sat the seating area playing the dicing game and drinking. Surprisingly it wasnt busy on the day we went. Would thought it would be busy since it was a saturday night and it was the day after halloween too. Nice place to hang out with your friends to drink, sing, or play games, but their drinks are a bit pricy. Minimum charge on card is $ 20. They dont let you split cash and card for some reason when i went there

Love this place! Been searching far and wide for a place that has Chinese karaōke, alcohol, dice and yummy snacks! The décor is actually quite nice and the rooms and sound system are pretty good too. Sad thing is there’s only two rooms so make sure you book in advance. Another downer is that they only serve fries and fried chicken wings(BOTHDROOLINGLYDELICIOUS) but not many options, especially after drinking. Price was also very reasonable. I think we spent around $ 500 for food and two bottles of Black Label which included the room charge for singing. They also have a very nice lounge/bar area where you can drink and play dice! The place surprisingly is operated by a Hong Kong owner and you can speak Cantonese with them. Funny because they’re in Japantown!

I only come here to meet up friends that are already here. It’s right next to Playground and can be a bit confusing, but it’s the door to the left at the top of the stairs. There’s always two bouncers standing there(one for playground and one for milo), ask them if you’re really not sure. Milo is Chinese versus Korean. They have karaōke too but with more chinese songs and a good selection of English songs. However, never been in one. They also have karaōke in the main room too, but they usually just play the original artist and the corresponding music video. Since it is Chinese owned, they have dice and cups for you to play the Chinese dice game. They also have bottle service, not badly priced. And they have their own specialty cocktails. Not bad, they tend to make their drinks on the strong side. The atmosphere is exactly what it is a lounge, dark lighting, and comfy sofas/chairs. Definitely not my go to spot to drink on a Friday or Saturday night. But hey, it’s an ok place if you have no where else to go.

3.5 stars. Worth checking out if you’re in Japantown with a group. Good weeknight spot for a group, big or small — can’t speak to weekends. Cheap beer, more-expensive-than-necessary(but strong) mixed drinks, and good service. The song selection process is a little strange — you basically write down what you want to sing and if they have it, it’ll come up.
