Hard to write a review for a gallery — does one evaluate the show one saw there or the space itself? I saw the Gordon Parks Centennial at the Jenkins Johnson Gallery, as the previous reviewer did. I thought the show was excellent and very much appreciated the amount of information posted on the walls near the series of photographs. It was more on par with what I expect from art museums, not galleries, and left me with a much greater appreciation for the show than I would have had without all the context.

Nice, quiet, spacious gallery. Stopped in to check out the Gordon Parks exhibit, which was very poignant and interesting. Didn’t buy anything, but wanted to write a nice review since their current 3-​star review (based on a single review) seems unjustified.
