FINALLY found someone in SF who knows how do to keratin treatments well! I had to go through several stylists, never being fully satisfied, and some were quite pricey. None of them were able to do as good of a job as Will did. My hair is VERY thick, unruly and generally difficult to manage but now, post-​keratin treatment, all I have to do is casually blow dry and it is so smooth and straight. Will knows what he is doing, he is clearly an expert at straightening treatments. Thank God.

This review is for the Unilocal special for the Brazilian Blowout Zero. After two attempts, many miles driven and over $ 200 spent I now have soft frizzy hair instead of coarse frizzy hair. This stuff does not work and I would not waste your money on this product. In fact I told the owner that he should drop this product if he wants to retain customers. I’m sure the other products he used with formaldehyde and the other with keratin work great but don’t waste your month on the ZERO… its gets Zero stars from me! The owner is nice to work with hence the three stars.

I’ve been coming to iHairbook Studio since June of 2013 as Will likes to remind me. I was skeptical (as he also likes to remind me) of the Brazilian Blowout and how it would work.
I was blown away by how smooth and lovely and straight my hair was. I am Greek and have very curly hair and this allows me to swim for exercise without worry and to not fear the SF Fog! If you want a professional and fantastic Keratin treatment or Blowout this is the place to go. The price is right and Will is great! Dont wait too long though, the holidays are coming up and he will get booked! Thank you Will! My husband loves my hair!

Will is an extremely thorough and precise stylist who delivers high-​quality work. I recently got a Brazilian Blowout from him and it is by far the BEST brazilian blowout I’ve ever received and I’ve had six total. He was personable, worked with integrity, and didn’t bypass any steps our areas of my hair for the sake of being swift. He was meticulous and because of his work ethic, I now have extremely smooth hair that I can tell is going to last a while. Will is going to be my go-​to stylist for Brazilian Blowouts from here on out.

I came here and got the Brazilian Keratin treatment and will definitely be coming back.
Review of Will and the salon: Will was great. He is knowledgeable, courteous, and after our consult I knew I could trust his expert opinion. I have a bit thicker and longer hair than the average customer but he took his time and never made me feel rushed. I felt comfortable in his salon. He offered me tea and is a good conversationalist. He’s gone through the extra effort to have special vents installed in the salon to better filter the air of chemicals and odors. When I left the salon he stocked me up with samples. I got a special hairband that wouldn’t crease my treated hair, a shower cap to keep it dry, etc. I’ll be going back for a haircut.
Review of the Brazilian Keratin: I got the brazilian keratin hair treatment. It’s been 2 months since and I love it. This is the one that you leave in for 3 days once you’ve left the salon, and can’t let it get creased during that time. After my first wash at home using the sulfate free shampoo, I fully blow-​dried it and it was like I had someone else’s hair. It wasn’t frizzy, pouffy, no triangle hair, which is my norm. Just long, and limp almost (which is what I prefer for my thick hair). I could actually leave my house without having to tame a big fluffy mess. I noticed it had a slight odor, a little fishy, that disappeared after the 2^nd or 3^rd wash. With this treatment, I can let my hair air dry, or even better, style it with just the blowdryer. For over-​the-​top shine, use a flat iron to do the finishing touches. I shampoo every other day, or 3 days if I can manage. The treatment has faded a little over this last month but is still much more manageable than my un-​treated hair. I have one month left until it’s supposed to stop lasting. How can I go on after that?

Was waiting for 3 months to write a review. Had a haircut and Brazilian blowout. My hair still looks amazing! Even better! Haircut was so good that even 3 months later people are asking me did I just had a haircut! I need to have haircut again just because my hair is too long now. Will, see you soon!

Here to say I’ve had my third Brazilian with Will and I am incredibly impressed with it:) I actually tried another salon several months ago, and the treatment seemed to last for only a month or two, so of course I came back to Will. He’s so patient and kind– I actually needed to cancel our first appt at the last minute and he was very understanding. And he always gets right back to me when I contact him! Will is a great stylist and I officially trust him with my hair, always. Thank you will!:)

I came to Will for japanese hair straightening as a treat in 2011, and am now officially hooked. Love how clean this studio is, technical savvy the owner is, and I am always impressed with Will’s finesse at my hair. He treats it like artwork with diligence and care! I know as long as iHairbook studio is around, I will keep going back for more!

I really wanted to like this experience. After reading a lot of reviews on Unilocal,I called Will and set up an appointment for the Brazilian Blowout special. When I got there, he was quick to upgrade me to a different treatment that would ensure my hair would be straight and was 70 $ more. So, I went for it. He worked quickly which was great and my hair looked good leaving the salon. I also got convinced to buy the shampoo as he would guarantee the treatment if I used it, which was another $ 20.
I didn’t wash my hair for 4 days as he mentioned that could help make the treatment last longer. As soon as I did, it was like I never had a Brazilian Blowout– my hair was back to its frizzy self and wavy. I text Will pictures and he asked that I return. It was difficult as I had to find care for my newborn and since my hair was getting worse, I didnt want to add more chemicals for a treatment that might not work again. I requested a partial refund from Will and he flat out refused, even after I sent him several pictures of my hair. Very disappointed.

This is a great salon. As a native New Yorker, I am extremely picky about my hair services and find many San Francisco salons overpriced and inexperienced. Will is incredibly talented but also warm, welcoming, and never ever ever pushy about add-​on products or services. I have had cuts, trims, and Brazilian Blowout with Will, all of which came out beautifully.
Quick note about Brazilian Blowouts: if you’re looking to have this done in the Bay Area, Will is your man. It comes out great (and I’ve had dozens of salons treat my hair with this stuff), but just as importantly, iHairbook has all the equipment needed to keep your face out of a chemical haze – he’s installed suction ventilation over each station, and uses a stand dryer so I don’t cough or tear up the way I have in the past. Highly recommend!

I am so happy with my haircut, hair color and Brazilian blowout! !! I have found my hair stylist. William you are the best. The blowout is amazing and still holding!!! William is accommodating. He is friendly and his products are amazing. His establishment is contemporary! !!

I have been going to iHairbook for several years now. I got my haircut over a week ago and it is growing out nicely. Will is a wonderful hairstylist, who takes his time, and does a great job! After each haircut session, I get compliments from my husband. Will gets busy pretty quickly, so I always call ahead of time to book an appointment. Parking can be tough, so my hubby usually drops me off or I come earlier to look for a space.

I’ve been here for a keratin treatment and twice for a regular haircut. If you like your experience more personalized and a 1:1 with your hair stylist, iHairbook is the way to go!
Service: from the keratin treatment to just a haircut, Will takes very good care and he takes his time even on his busiest days. My keratin treatment lasted for ~4 months and my hair definitely felt healthier. The keratin treatment prevented me from using hair products on a daily basis and heating tools to maintain — made my mornings a lot easier. Helped me create better habits in taking better care of my hair. I still visit Will to get haircuts and so far, I’ve always walked away happy.
Location/​Atmosphere: Since it’s located in the Richmond district, parking is really hard to find and would recommend in coming 10 minutes early to find parking. The salon is small since it’s a one-​man shop but atmosphere is very modern feel.
Overall: I would recommend to anyone who wants to do a keratin treatment, he did a really good job with mine. I enjoyed how personal he is with everyone and appreciate how he’s able to squeeze me into his busy schedule last minute.

I had a meh experience with a blowout and Will called me to say he wanted to make it right. I went in today and Will was surprised to see how the treatment didn’t take in my hair. He spent an hour and a half re-​doing the Brazillian blowout — and it is freaking perfect.
Like, better than perfect.
While he was working on my hair, we talked about all sorts of things. He’s truly a delightful conversationalist, and he took such great care to be sure that the treatment was perfect.
Not only will I be going back regularly, I’ll be telling everyone I know to go see Will at iHairbook Studio.
If more small businesses took the time to follow up with customers who weren’t thrilled with their service, nobody would ever go out of business. But Will is a rare breed. Nothing would make me happier than to have to wait a month for an appointment with him. He deserves to be ludicrously successful.

I’ve been going to Will for the past couple of years for keratin treatments and haircuts and am always absolutely thrilled with the results! I can honestly say that my hair has never looked better. I have naturally curly, frizzy hair that Will magically transforms into that beautiful, shiny, smooth hair-​commercial hair. And it always seems to last for several months, which is awesome.
I was really pleased to find him in the neighborhood — you don’t have to go downtown for a great salon experience. Will knows hair inside and out, makes sure that you are happy with your look, and is also super friendly to boot. I couldn’t recommend him any more!

Will is an incredible stylist, I got a haircut at a different salon and when he was cutting my hair he showed me the mistakes that the previous person had done (I had no idea, it was really bad!). But my hair feels good now and more importantly the haircut looks good months after.

I’m new to the area and have been using the same stylist for 10 years — needless to say I was VERY anxious about going to someone new, but Wil did a great job on my hair — love how straight and silky it is after the keratin treatment. He colored my hair too and did a perfect job matching shades. He even refunded money to me when he realized there was a special going on for the services I had performed (without my having to ask)
I highly recommend this salon and am going to make it my new «only» hair care stop.
