Quick service was great. i did not wait at all. Just walked in and they were able to take care of me. However communication skills with customer wasn’t the best. I explained her three times not to buff my nails shiny but she did or didn’t understand me. After all quick job done but i have to go home and buff my nails matte. Quick service minus down time

*This Location is now called Tootsie Toes, but is operated by the same people as Finest Nails* This place isn’t fancy and their massaging chairs are not the best, but the people are very friendly, the interior is clean(and recently remodeled), and the prices are very reasonable despite a slight increase due to said renovation. They may have not received as much traffic because of the shop’s simple appearance, but this has always been a benefit to me in that I’ve never had to wait when I usually visit on weekend afternoons. Amy, Linda, Cindy, and Vee have helped me and I’ve been happy with their work!

I have had two decent manicures by the same girl at this place so went for my first mani/pedi combo(as I am in a never-ending search for a decent manicure/pedicure that does not cost $ 50-$ 75!!). It certainly was not worth the $ 25 considering there are several competing salons on and around Polk St that do a better job(for less). My pedicure was done(including polish) in less than 20 minutes! Also, the girl dropped one of the instruments on the floor and did not sprtiz it with alcohol or sanitize it before using it again. She spent all of 30 seconds scrubbing the bottom of my feet. She rushed, rushed, rushed and yet I was the only customer in the salon. A different gal did my manicure and it was sloppy work — uneven shape, rough edges and streaky polish(which BTW, they have a very limited selection of old polishes). And I don’t like having to reach over the opposite side of the chair and twist my back to accommodate the manicurist. When all was done I sat in the chair with my feet resting on a wet cloth while the two gals promptly microwaved their lunches and chit-chatted for 30 minutes. And honestly, I don’t go to a salon to be rushed and then have to smell chicken chow mein permeate throughout the place(mixed with the strong odor of incents burning). Huge disappointment and unfortunately, this seems to be the norm at just about every asian-run nail salon I have visited. They are all unsanitary(some downright disgusting), unpleasant and despite the discount — still a rip off. Even when I am not completely satisfied I will still usually leave a tip. Not this time.

I was on a time crunch and drove around looking for a nail salon since the usual place I visit was all booked up. I was a bit hesitant at first, since there wasnt anyone else in the shop, but decided to be brave and give it a try. It actually turned out OK. This nail salon isnt upscale or modern like the newer salons are. They have a few massage chairs which dont work as great as others i’ve experienced. They also didnt have individual packaged nail tools like other places, but did have a sterilzer machine. Their color selection wasnt all that, but all in all they did a pretty good job on my mani and pedi.

Wandered down Polk Street in need of a Mani Pedi. Went past a few nail shops and most looked pretty busy and kept going. I like to avoid crowds. I walked into Finest Nails and asked for a Mani Pedi. The two ladies went to town on me and were super quick. I asked for French tips for the Pedi and accidently brushed it against the blow dryer. The lady was nice enough to fix it without any problems. Spa Mani Pedi w/French tips was $ 33. Highly recommend. They do an excellent and quick job.

Yuck, don’t waste your time or money here please. Came here w/a friend on a sunday afternoon after some fro-yo on polk. Went to teashi first then lavende both of which had an hour + wait for a quick pedi so we continue down the st and just popped in here since the sign said $ 15. Cool, we didn’t need anything fancy. Sat down in the nail chairs(which BTW if you can avoid DOSO they are germ machines!!). It was totally empty and the nail color selection sucked and half the polishes were totally old and less than half full. Whatever, all of this I could see before I sat down and had any work done but i was desperate for a pedi so was just going to suck it up and appreciate the very cheap price and not be the normal pedi snob that I am. So we sit down, chatting away and someone else comes in and asks how long for a mani/pedi. We had the only 2 techs in the place working on us and we’d literally just started — but they say oh, sit down we be with you in 5 minutes. In my mind I thought ‘Liars, you just started on us, that sucks for that girl she’ll have to wait for a while”) So rush rush rush I looked down once during the 10 second massage because the lady was continually scratching me… Um hello — you’re a nail tech — cut your f’ing nails! Your actually scratching my calfs and bottom of my feet. Then I look down again about a minute later and my feet are dry and the cuticle work’s almost done. Wow. fast.(thorough? No — but fast YES). So then a few minutes later we are both done and our girls are over working on the new one. So, we got the fastest pedicures ever then sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for them to dry(no quik dry top coat equals another — star). So we go to pay and they say $ 17 each. Um, sign says $ 15. Get this The pedicure we got was the«Spa Pedicure — more fancy» she says. HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHA. What a joke. Totally gross in here. Everything looks, feels and is gross.

I went to Finest Nails for 3+ years. Low cost, efficient, and they do a great job for the price. It’s not the nicest/cleanest of facilities, however. I would recommend bringing your own tools, pumice, file.

I came here in need of a quick manicure. &Oh, I did get one. for $ 7 ! The lady who did mines did an okay job. Not one of the best manicures I’ve ever gotten, but the cheapest. Come in here if you’re in need of a quick mani. Pros: Friendly staff, broad selection of nail polish, Quickly’s next door! Cons: Small staff, street parking.
