Best cheeseburger ever! Will be back for sure! Highly recommend if you happen to be in the bay area.

Tried the Eastern burger and thought it was very solid! The patty was grilled to a medium-well, no option asked for but that’s alright. It’s topped with onions and mushrooms that have been grilled to submission which pairs perfectly with the sweet/tangy kalbi sauce! Paired my burger with the simple russet fries. Definitely liked the skin-on, artisan flair, but I was really disappointed in the number of broken potato nubs I received. They also weren’t as crispy as I would have liked despite being fried to order. In regards to service, I understand the concept of order then sit down, but I kind of expected a bit more service? When I say dine in, I guess I expected to at least be given a few napkins and maybe some tap water… or at least be directed to where I can retrieve some upon delivery of food… which by the way, was just handed to me over the glass window on the bar. Perhaps this is just how its done at Buzz, but immediately post delivery, the cook straight picked up his phone and was just idly using it. Couldn’t be bothered to walk around the counter to serve your one lunchtime customer on a weekday? Lame.

First time here and I will be back :) Had the Eastern Burger with a fried egg added and it was AWESOME! The Kalbi sauce is on point and compliments the juices burger. Toppings were simple, lettuce and mushrooms. Not to overwhelm the burger. The garlic fries and onion rings were well fried and seasoned. The onion rings had a nice crispy crunch to it. Not soggy at all like you may find at other places. Service is efficient and friendly. To sum it up: my mouth just orgasmed :)

I went to have lunch here yesterday. It was okay. I got a turkey burger with avocado and fried egg. Nothing special. Honestly, my college cafeteria had a better turkey burger. Fries looked so burned but tasted okay. Not too pricey for burgers here so that’s a good thing. I don’t think I will go back.

After a miserable screw up the first time, I decided to give this place one more try. Maybe they were having a bad day? Less staff? Too many orders? Who knows what the reason was during my last visit. Everyone deserves a second chance. NOT!!! This time I ordered a Western Burger, Onion Rings, extra BBQ sauce for my onion rings, and on the side red onions. I told the lady on the other line red onions and extra BBQ sauce on the side so I can eat it with my onion rings. Yes, onions on top of onions. Maybe I was experiencing a pregnancy craving, but that’s what I wanted to eat my onion rings. I also told the lady to keep the burger how it is. A cheeseburger with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, tomatoes, and lettuce. She said, «Suuureee! No problem!» When I picked up my order, I asked her if the red onions and extra BBQ were in the bag. She asked her cook that was right next to her if there were a side of red onions. He said he added it to my burger. NOT the way I wanted it! She had the nerve to tell me to pick it off! I asked her if there was BBQ sauce for my onion rings in the bag. She said yes. So I left to go to work. When I opened up my burger, there was NOBBQ sauce! Gosh! Don’t F– with a pregnant lady! They added way too many red onions in my burger that after picking a lot of it off, my fingers smelled like onions! Ugh! Fool you once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Ugh! Ruined my eating experience. Why can’t people just read what’s on the ticket. Do NOT modify my damn burger!

Buzz understands how important buns are. Uncle Boys could learn something from this place with their dried out buns. Thanks for a great meal, every time!

Really good turkey burgers! I had the sunset that comes with avocado and a fried egg and it was phenomenal. The turkey itself was delicious and well seasoned. It’s not better than umami, but I would come back.

Buzz has an amazing veggie burger and sweet potato fries! Their food is fresh and reasonably priced. Love this place.

–1 Star for really wet lettuce –1 Star for forgetting the cheese. Asked for a chicken breast sandwich/burger(Marys — a big plus) without onions and with Cheddar instead of American cheese. Ordered it to go, and when I got home the bun was soaked in the wet romaine(?) lettuce. The volume of the chicken was great, cooked perfectly and although on the pricier side(about 8 or 9-ish), this grilled chicken rules over Super Duper or Habit. Quality matters. Only bummer was the wet lettuce and forgetting the cheese. Maybe I have OCD because when I make sandwiches or burgers at home, I make sure to drain all the water and pad the lettuce dry with paper towels before putting it together. Otherwise, I’d be back, and will check my order next time.

What’s the Buzz about? This place is a good alternative to Roam. No only is it walking distance from school, it is open pretty late. There are 7 types of burgers you can choose from which comes in different options of cheese, bun, and topping + extras. I usually order either the Classic Cheese: American Classic with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and American cheese. It is basically your basic burger. Or I go with The Sunrise: free range fried egg, avocado, tomato, grilled onions, and sharp cheddar. It all really depends on my appetite and how hungry I am! I also grab either some Fresh Cut Russet Potato Fries or Sweet Potato Fries. All the utensils are on the shelf so you can pick up whatever you need. The price here is reasonable! However, my heart will always be in Roam(Rome).

We came at around 9PM, eat atmosphere, and the front of the store looks especially nice. I ordered our meal and didn’t realize you had to tip in the beginning(yikes). I thought I had cash so I pressed no tip, then realized I had no cash, so I ordered a coke and realized I could only tip the same amount as the coke max. Anyways… I ordered the western, garlic fries, and the woman ordered a sunrise for a total of about $ 23. The food came after a bit of time, but it was pretty chill just sitting there. They serve actual glass bottles of coke, so don’t expect none of that high fructose corn syrup shit. As for the taste of the burger… the patties were super juicy! The garlic on the fries were really awesome, and the fries themselves were cooked crispy. Unfortunately… The patties were very under seasoned, like they had almost no salt on them. All gucci though, might come here again for a burger if I ever crave it.

The Sunrise, is the most satisfying burger I’ve had in a while. The fried egg and the spicy sauce is what makes it so delicious. Each bite oozed with flavor. It’s too bad it was so oily, thus preventing a 5 star rating. You need a ton of napkins while eating this.

Not impressed with the customer service at this place. Guess now that they’re not new anymore they don’t really feel the need to be polite. When they first opened, they told my co-workers to grab a stack of coupons for free fries. Recently, we went in with one of these coupons and the man behind the counter said, «Uhhh, what’s this?» Then he yelled over to a woman and she yelled back, «What? That’s expired! We don’t take that anymore.» First of all, there isn’t an expiration on it. Second, totally fine if you’re not taking them, but maybe«I’m sorry, but we’re not accepting these anymore,» would have been nicer than looking at us like we’re stupid and yelling across the kitchen back and forth.

Great burger place in Richmond district! We came on a weekday night, plenty of seating and fast service. Great ambiance and nicely decorated for the holidays. Though the inside is a little too dimly lit for me, and a little too dark for a burger place: P I ordered a Western burger without any additional sides or toppings. The bun was lightly toasted, bacon was crisp and that beef patty is just plain delicious! How do I describe it… it’s so beefy? It was juicy, and fresh off the grill. You can tell you are eating beef, unlike some burger places where the patty just taste like ‘meat’ in general. I will definitely come back to try the other burgers, Buzz does make quality burgers!

Walked by this place numerous times, never looked to get much traffic. Spontaneously came here for a weekend lunch and decided to try it. It’s pretty small, not a whole lot of space and it’s pretty bare as well. What’s nice is they give you bun and meat options. I decided to go with an Eastern Burger(comes with Kalbi sauce) with an added egg. Much to my surprise, this burger was juicy and full of flavor. I decided to have Sriracha by my side to give it that lil something-something. But all in all, I was very pleased with the burger. The garlic fries on the other hand, not so much. It’s pretty much fries with chopped up garlic on top. But that’s ok, I’m not a huge fries fan anyway. Most important question to answer is: would I come back? Absolutely.

I like this burger joint more everytime I come here. The people here are really nice! Burgers are really good. I always get the sunrise and it’s never disappointed me. The sweet potato fries are nice and crunchy. It’s $ 8.25 for the burger and only $ 2.75 for the fries. I have spent more at Jack in the box for substandard stuff. They provide water jug, a ton of condiments, and best of all, siracha! I haven’t tried the smoothies, which I will definitely try next time I come back. The salads look solid, too. This is my new favorite burger spot.

I haven’t had a burger this good in ages. Heavenly good ! They just overload the burger, making it messy but the best kind of messy. The kinda burger that you can’t wait to eat. I just wolfed down the Sunrise under 5minutes. No regrets. The place is small, you might just miss it. Not great for groups but usually has lotsa space in the afternoon. If you see it empty, don’t fret you are lucky ! You can make a mess of yourself eating their awesome burgers without a care in the world. The prices are reasonable 5 – 9 dollars and have some side menu which I did bother with. They even have the bottled coke ! I will be definitely be back for more!

UGH, FINALLY!!! A place that actually knows how to cook a burger!!! After trying hole in the wall spots in sf for awhile my boyfriend and I were losing hope in finding a spot that would actually leave it pink in the middle. I almost wanna give them 5 stars just for that haha. I got the«Sunrise» burger which was DELICIOUS. I loved the sauce that was on it, wasn’t spicy as described but still really good! They have a shelf filled with sauces(couple different types of mustard, sriracha, ketchup…) if you wanna mix it up a bit for your fries. We got Garlic Fries as well… now the fries themselves were cooked well but they did not taste anything like garlic at all. When you pay extra for garlic fries it’s kind of important that the flavor is delivered. The fries are pretty cheap though so wasn’t a big deal, just sayin. It may not be the best burger I’ve ever had but is now one of my favorite hole in the wall burger joint in SF!

It’s ironic, really. It was in my review for Midori Sushi(1 star) that I mentioned how they, along with several other restaurants along this stretch of Geary, are beloved by residents of the area, right or wrong. Since then, Midori Sushi has shuttered its doors and quickly been replaced by a place who can honestly say that their food is actually deserving of such adoration! Having been open for about five months now, Buzz has made for a fantastic addition to SF’s burger scene. Unlike most other neighborhood joints though, the burgers here are nothing like the boring and generic types you might typically find. Rather, despite how relatively narrow it is, the menu has a solid set of burgers and sides to choose from. Of the half dozen or so choices, I opted for the SUNRISEBURGER($ 8.25) and added Smoked Applewood Bacon(+$ 1.00) and a side of GARLICFRIES($ 2.75). Topped with a Free Range Fried Egg, Avocado, Tomato, Grilled Onions, and Sharp Cheddar(and Bacon!), the condiments were both awesome and generous(though my egg was a little overcooked). The bacon, onions, and patty’s juiciness made it a little greasy, but the taste was undeniably delicious. Plus, the bun was pretty good(not bready or dry) and I loved how much avocado they gave( ). As for the Garlic Fries, there was a good amount of garlicky flavor that wasn’t too raw/intense, but the fries themselves were a miss. The coloring was really dark, as if they were burnt or cooked in old oil, and the texture was more limp and soggy than crisp. Disappointing as is, but it made it that much more of a bummer that they were out of the onion rings that I originally wanted to get( ). Beyond the food, everything else about Buzz is a winner. Friendly staff, plenty of seating, fair prices, and, most importantly, plenty of nearby parking(the one positive about any restaurant in the area). With all of those positives, being able to get a quality burger is like icing on the cake. Buzz may not end my search for the best burger around, but now I finally have a great, no-hassle burger joint on this side of the city!

I kind of had high hopes for this place due to the reviews but it was a letdown. It’s one of those places where you order at the counter, get a number, sit down and get your food brought to you. That’s fine, but the lady at the cash register didn’t seem to speak English that well. So ordering seemed to be harder than it should be. I ordered the Eastern burger, which is Kalbi sauce, lettuce, sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, American Cheese. Others had the Sunrise(fried egg, lettuce avocado, tomato, grilled onions, sharp cheddar, sweet & spicy sauce. I went half-half with my brother to try both. Don’t get me wrong, my burger was really good. The sauce was good and it actually made the burger something different from any burger I’ve had. On the flip side, the Sunrise is one of those burgers that every place has and should be done right. The egg was overcooked. The avocado was not ripe. The sauce made the burger super wet that the bun just disintegrated. Eggs always make things better, but if one does not know how to cook an egg, it doesn’t make anything better. I probably won’t be back. There are better burgers out there.
