I’m a customer of 7 years I decided to upgrade to a new iPhone 6S Plus so I walked in on my lunch break expecting to get in & out under an hour. The guy who first helped me was inexperienced maybe a rookie but the manager George could see my frustration and quickly took over my purchase. I addressed my concerns about service and new options available with the new device I was buying. George very professionally answered my questions and even double checked the whole transaction from A to Z to make sure it done correctly because of my concerns regarding a bad experience from a different retailer. My purchase experience with George was definitely a great one. In & out under 35 minutes still had time to get lunch.

Waste of my time. They’re in the middle of the UTC mall with construction going on, so just getting here was a pain after finding out the villa la jolla location has been closed. Now Sandra(think that was her name) was trying to be helpful, but it seemed like she didn’t understand the questions I was asking about changing my iPhone 5 for a iPhone 6. She told me that it would be 300 for the phone cost with a 2-yr plan, + 40 upgrade charge. I asked why I would be paying an upgrade charge, and she explained that I could put the cost of my new phone and upgrade charge on my monthly bill for $ 30 a month for 2 years(i.e. $ 720) but would charge me only $ 15 a month. By this point I was confused because the Verizon website said I was eligible for an upgrade with a new contract for $ 200, but I wanted more memory so Sandra told me it’d be $ 300. Nowhere on the website did it mention the mysterious $ 40 upgrade fee and now Sandra is saying the monthly fee would be completely waved. So I asked to see a side by side comparison of the different plans and costs, with and without contract, and was told they«ran out of machines» at the kiosk, but Sandra could write everything down on a piece of paper for me. Wow, thanks. Completely contradictory and confusing, I get she was trying to be helpful, but apparently management doesn’t give their employees the tools to properly do their jobs. Oh, and thanks Sandra, for the eye roll when I said I’d rather go to a full store. Real nice.

This place sux! I’m still waiting for someone here to acknowledge the fact that I am here. Been waiting here for a good 40 minutes to buy something out of absolute necessity. The people working here must be getting paid by the hour cuz they seem like they are not in any hurry to help people that are waiting. 3 people have left already and they dont seem to care. Never again.

Pros: They hooked it up with an early upgrade(1 week before) Cons: The first phone I got from them had problems, speaker wasnt working, could have just been the phone and not them. They gave me a new replacement though right away when I told them about the problem. The staff was friendly and helpful, Haven’t hit the problems of everyone else on here and hopefully I dont.

In my opinion, giving somebody one star on a review means that there is something(however minuscule or minor it may be) that they did right… THISPLACEDOESNOTDESERVEANYTHINGGREATERTHANOREQUALTOONESTAR Just a little information on this place… Wireless Source is a little kiosk decked out in Verizon logos located near the Lens Crafter store at UTC mall. However, they are NOT an official and authorized Verizon Dealership. My experience with this place is HORRIBLE. So I came here with my girlfriend because she had lost her cellular phone and was a couple months away from getting an upgrade(and I was going to help her buy one). So at first they were all smooth, offering us deals on phones that they claim are cheaper than anything we can get elsewhere. THISISTHEIRLIE #1, the phone that I ended up getting for her here(the HTC incredible) cost 50 dollars more than how much an official Verizon store was selling it for — both prices compared with upgrade discounts. My girlfriend originally wanted the iPhone 4 but the boss that was helping us told her that it is impossible to get the iPhone 4 because of the upgrade eligibility that they were pushing for her. THISISTHEIRLIE #2… The only reason why they didn’t want her to get the iPhone 4 is because they only make money if you buy the phones they had at the kiosk. They push you very hard to buy an Android phone. If you want the iPhone as an upgrade, don’t believe their lies. Instead, go to a real Verizon store or the Apple store– it is NOT impossible to get one. My girlfriend was not happy with the phone. It crashed all the time and was very slow… so we came back here to return the phone. They told her that if she returned the phone, there was a VERYHIGH possibility that they would not be able to reinstate her upgrade eligibility that was coming up so she would be able to get a new phone for another year… THISWASTHEIRLIE #3. They were trying to scare her into keeping the phone because they knew that they wouldn’t make any money if she returned the phone and got the iPhone 4 elsewhere. She called their bluff, and went ahead to returned the phone. They took it and gave us our money back. So we went over to the Apple Store to get her the iPhone 4 that she originally wanted. The Apple guy checked her upgrade eligibility and it said«not eligible» but pointed us to a REAL Verizon dealership across the street because there were some things that needed to be changed in her account that only an authorized Verizon dealership could change. He also told us that these kiosks are very shady and always try to scam you to pay extra money for phones/services/fees. The only places that can be trusted are authorized/official cellular service dealerships and original cellular phone manufacturers. So the REAL Verizon dealership was able to clear everything up for my girlfriend and push her upgrade eligibility so that she could get the iPhone 4 in the end… This whole ordeal was SUCH a waste of time! I wish we had gone to a real Verizon dealership or the Apple Store in the first place. Buying the HTC incredible took about an hour and a half for them to just fill out the paperwork and everything… The return took about an hour. Those who post good reviews for this kiosk are believers of this company’s lies(in my honest opinion). DON’T GOHERE!

NEGATIVE negative NEGATIVEEEE stars. NOT even CLOSE to one star. Desperation brought me to this kiosk. I’d write my story but it is much too long and complicated and it makes me stressed. bottom line. NEVER go to this kiosk. The people are shady. They try to make you believe that they’re giving you a good deal. However, they’re actually ripping you off. Don’t be swayed when they tell you that they can give you your upgrade in advance. I almost switched over to at&t because of the employees at this kiosk. Thankfully, I found a verizon wireless right across the street from UTC and the staff there kindly told me that they would be able to give me what I wanted. They explained to me everything very thoroughly and apologized on behalf of the verizon wireless kiosk people. Of all the people they’ve harassed, I’m sure there were some happy customers. but I was a victim of their shadiness. -.-”

Wireless source is not one of those oh so great mall kiosk where they do cat calls to the girls dressing in skimpy outfits and are obnoxious to those walking around yelling«Hey want a cell phone? I bet you I can give you a better deal than the employee discount!» No, they’re better than that. They have the whole cart decked out in Verizon swag with everything to boot including Verizon business cards that are identical to those in the storefront shops. The staff there is ready and willing to help and answer any questions and if they don’t have a phone in stock for you, they will order it and ship it overnight from the VZW warehouse directly to your door overnight! Wow! What a great business!!! Only one… no TWO major problems. 1) they’re NOT a corporate store. 2) the salesman(Mike) that helped me order my phone a year ago lied to me about being a corporate store. Why is this a problem? My phone crapped out… twice on me(not their fault) within the last year. I bought it in December just before Christmas and they logged it as «User provided equipment.» For those who don’t know, that means that the phone is NOT under the Verizon warranty. I’m still not sure how I got the replacement phone back in May when it died the first time, but the second time(last week) I went into the new Verizon corporate store and asked for help to get a replacement. The employee helped me and said that their records refused me an RMA because i was out of warranty… The phone hasn’t even been in existence for a year so I called shenanigans. She delved deeper into it all and told me that that kiosk screwed me. In the end, I got my new phone(yay!) and refuse to ever walk near that kiosk again.
