Todd, is a cool cat. He helped me out and went out of his way to make sure the old Trek was running in tip-top shape. He regreased the bearings even though I didn’t ask and offered great a price on some new parts. One of these days we will definitely be converting this bike to newer hardware.

Needed my bike tuned up and had some problems with squeaking brake pads. Called Top Jolt Cycle(found their info on craigslist) and already next day Todd came to my place in Hillcrest, picked up the bike and dropped it off all tuned up in couple days. Once I went for a ride turned out that the brakes are still squeaking, so I called Todd and he came to pick up the bike next morning and dropped it off the same night all ready to go. The price of $ 65 is very reasonable, especially with the pick up/drop off. Todd is a very nice, honest person and I would recommend Top Jolt Cycle to anyone who needs work done on their bike.

We were staying in Ocean Beach for a couple of days, and wanted to rent casual bikes to ride over to Mission Beach. We called Bernie’s Bike Shop in OB, they don’t rent bikes, and referred us to Todd with Top Jolt Cycle. We called Todd, he asked what kind of bike we were looking for, and after we told him what we wanted to do he recommended hybrid bikes for the ride. He met us at Bernie’s(we found out later he would have delivered the bikes to our lodging — nice!), got us outfitted, instructed us on how they operate, offered us helmets, and we were on our way. At the end of the ride, we met him at an agreed-upon location, turned over the bikes/gear to him, and were on our way. The bikes were brand new; Todd is a nice and knowledgeable guy, and we definitely will recommend Top Jolt Cycle for a company to rent any kind of bike from. Personal service and nice bikes, reasonably priced — what else do you need?
