The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

The atmosphere was pretty chill and not overly crowded like a Starbucks. They have free wifi which is nice and it’s a great quiet place to study.
The barista was pleasant and I had a orange dream smoothie or something of that nature and it was delicious. They even had a BOGO drink sale going on since it was Valentines Day. I will definitely keep that in mind for next year.

This place is my favorite coffee place. It has a lot of chairs and a big place out side so I can read and study. Also they have different flavor coffee all day long. But weekends usually the coffee variety is limited. I think that it would be nice to have the same choice on weekends too.

Make sure to get an extra shot of espresso above what you usually get in any drink that isn’t pure coffee. It’s way too weak otherwise.

Loved it! My dark chocolate latte was superb! The barista made a phoenix in the foam! I’ve only seen pictures of such artistry. Sadly, I lost the pictures I took of it.

They always have nice staff and great coffee especially the iced coffee. I love that drink and the ice cubes are pleasant and little. However, I really need coffee top plugs. Please and thanks.

So lately I’ve been on a coffee bean binge. As a former daily Starbucks attendee, I have come to realize that coffee bean and their coffee are a great value.
So I get the large ice coffee, add a shot and no room. Pretty simple right?! Yeah yeah, I’m pretty basic. They always great me with a smile, and are very fast. Coffee taste stays consistent every time (my review is based on 6 days of coming to this location).
On occasion there is a wonderful gentlemen who offers a free extra shot of espresso. I will never deny a free shot!
The décor and the furniture at this location is awesome. From sitting outside on some sofa Lounge chairs, to inside in a nice a/​c control room you will feel relaxed.
Note– I do really enjoy having the liquid sugar as an option. It helps when you have an iced drink.

I absolutely love this coffee shop and the location is perfect. Pretty decent parking. I love getting my cappuccino in the big latte cups! They have a good amount of inside and outside seating as well. They have many location so I definitely recommend finding one and trying it out.

This place has way better blended drinks than Starbucks! I love the no sugar added drinks as well.

BEST COFFEE STORE EVEERRRR. I love it so much more than Starbucks.
1. The entire store is kosher.
2. My usual order is a iced coffee and Coffee Bean has a liquid sugar which is amazing because regular sugar wont melt. And you don’t have to take a billion tiny packets just to get a tablespoon of sugar.

I love Coffee Bean but unfortunately this location is always a disappointment. I’ve never once had a drink that was made right, anything from the wrong size, flavor, temperature or taste has happened to me here.
The employees are nice so I’m giving an extra star but overall this location is the worst I’ve ever been to and I’ve given them multiple chances:/

Hazelnut blended coffee is so delightful.

On expensive side. I dont like that they use powders, instead of syrups. I find that strange. I bought an egg white kale sandwich that was Really gross (& I can handle egg whites normally). The egg white was a crazy crumbled consistency that is just very unnatural. The barista remembered me so she let me trade it for a different sandwich. The second sandwich was no better & I really wanted to like it.
I haven’t eaten much today & I have an assignment Im working on so I really wanted to grab coffee & something reasonably healthy. For a $ 6 sandwich it is a good size but I wish I wouldve tried tuna instead.
Regarding my drink, I got a medium chocolate latte (w/​only ¼ of the powder to cut down on calories). I had it made w soy milk. I like that the taste of espresso is delicate and not sickeningly strong.
On a scale of 1 – 10 I would rate my drink an 8. I’d rate the food I ate a –2. So my coffee bean experience averages out to a 6. Ill add an extra point for friendly service & yet another point bc they gave me caffeine when there are no other nearby coffee shops.

Let me preface this and say I’m one of those starbucks fanatics. But first and foremost, I am a coffee fiend, so wherever there is good coffee, I’m there! And coffee bean has excellent coffee! It also doesn’t hurt that it’s near my work. This location is very well kept and is always clean. And the baristas are always so nice and friendly. I’ve been here quite a number of times and I’ve never had a bad experience with the service or the quality of drinks.
I usually either get their house coffee or a hot mocha latte. If it’s a really hot summer day, the iced blended mocha always hits the spot. My girlfriend usually gets the hot white choclate latte, but with soy instead of milk. Unlike starbucks, they use a special dutch chocolate powder instead of liquid mocha in their drinks. It makes the drink a little thicker and a different consistency than starbucks drinks, which I think is what sets it apart.
Now if only there were more CBTL locations in town, it would be much better! Also wouldn’t mind them having a rewards card program like the starbucks gold card. Will definitely be a big plus!

I have had very good success at several Coffee Bean and Tea Leaves around town, and my visit to this location went just as well. I ordered a two shot Americano and tried one of their seasonal vanilla and espresso bean scone.
The scone was a double whammy because not only did the scone have espresso in side the scone, but also on the outside via the frosting (
). The espresso flavor was mild and good, but not strong enough to overwhelm the vanilla flavor of the scone. The scone itself was very moist and did not crumble apart like some scones do (
). The Americano, made from their handcraft Roast Blend, was great with its strength and flavor.
Seating was abundant at this location, inside and outside, and the girls at the counter and who made my Americano were cool and had good senses of humor. Good friendly service…

Almond Milk, they have almond milk!

I immediately became a fan when they told me that they use powder vanilla instead of syrup which makes the tea latte drink more creamy.
Which immediately I knew I had to try the Winter dream tea latte, and should I tell you. It was amazing! The tea is made from loose leaf tea (NOT Powder) so you can taste the tea, in milk and vanilla. Though, I would recommend adjusting the sweetness, maybe less vanilla ?
But regardless, the customer service at this location is great! Came in minutes before they were closing and we weren’t rushed at all. And the parking is shared with other busy stores like Michaels but there are still plenty!

I always have a great experience here.
We are die hard Starbucks goers but more and more the service and quality from Starbucks is what’s making us venture out.
I have always been delightfully impressed by the service, drinks and good lawd I love the ice here. So fluffy and crunchy little balls of ice. Delightful.
There will be one opening up in Poway that will be DRIVE THRU!!! I can’t wait!

Thank you, thank you for my caffeine kick!!! Yes I came in on a Sunday during the mid morning rush but I did get delicious iced coffee which I so need taking care of my 3 year old niece.
I love walking into a customer friendly environment it makes the wait barely seen like a wait!

Love coffee bean! Better service than Starbucks. I love their jalapeño cheese bagel with cream cheese & ice blended matcha green tea.
