It’s weird, they say their hours are open until 9, yet I got there at 5:30pm and they came out to the drive thru and said they close at 4. This was about a month ago, and they have been closed everyday I drive by at 5:30. Their food is decent, not great, and their customer service isn’t the best.

This place is bomb. I’m lazy so I like to order my food by calling in ahead before I go and use drive thru to pick it up. They allow it. But if you do use the drive thru tho, they dont say hi when you pull up so make sure you say hi first. Only down side.

A regular lunch stop for most of my coworkers. They are big fans. The portions(relative to the cost), is quite impressive. The menu consist of the usual suspects and everything that I’ve seen my co-workers eat looked and smelt great(again, very healthy portions). I’ve only sampled the rolled tacos, but was impressed how overboard the toppings were on my 3 rolled. So much so, I ate the tacos and saved the toppings to create a salad to enjoy. Seriously. The enormous amount of lettuce, salsa fresca, guac, sour cream… add a little hot sauce for dressing… delicious and filling. Definately a solid taco shop and the carne asada plate looks to be my next try some Friday very soon in the near future.

This place was nice especially for the money. I had the 2 rolled tacos and mixed burrito special and I could not finish it. The lady at the counter was helpful and understanding of picky eaters. This will be my first choice for taco shop food in the future when I am at work.

I’ve read the previous reviews, and heard their food was pretty good. After reading a few reviews about the inconsistent store hours, I thought, «Hey… It’s 4pm on a Monday… How could I possibly go wrong?» I walked into the restaurant and took a peek at their menu board. That peek soon became a glance, which 5 minutes later became a full blown stare. Not because there was anything extraordinary on the menu, there was simply nothing else to do since there was nobody there to take my order. After 9 minutes(yeah, I started counting), the cook/counter person/floor mopper finally approached the counter with mop bucket in tow. As I started to place my order, I was informed that my order would have to be TOGO since the dining area was CLOSED. BUTIT’S 4 O’CLOCKINTHEAFTERNOON! As waves of frustration overcame me, I resorted to the ‘Can I speak to the Manager’ routine… My challenge was quickly met with a ‘He’s not here’, and ‘I don’t have his number’ combo. This was immediately followed by a ‘I don’t know what his name is’ for the K.O. Numb, and still hungry… I stumbled 150 feet to Soto’s Mexican Food where I spent my $ 10 and ate my meal in the A/C(I’ll be reviewing them next).

The Mission Valley location is the best one. Miramar location disappoints in a big way…

Are they open? Are they closed? Despite the hours on Unilocal this place is iffy on whether it will be open or not. 4PM on a Thursday? Maybe open. Maybe not. Even if it is open good luck with the drive thru… they may take your order or maybe not… They added some barriers to keep you from leaving the drive thru, but that doesn’t stop people from leaving. I have waited and left several times and I’ve seen other cars do the same. If they are open and if they will take your order the food is generally good.

Maybe I’ve been eating too much quality food from taco trucks, hole in the wall Mexican food restos and the like, because this place registered to me and my people as… not good. First impression: looks like the kind of place one might expect getting food poisoning from(who knows I still might!). This actually makes me excited for the food so I’m all in at this point. Carnitas tacos, chicken burrito, taco de Cabeza. Greasy, lard flavor prevalent on everything. Meat had bad texture, and there weren’t any fresh flavors in anything so it just tasted like mush. None of us felt good about what we just ate and when there’s so many decent Mexican spots in the area, I can’t see how they’re still going here. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Keep searching…

Not impressed… I had to wait at the menu thing forever in the drive through before someone acknowledged me. I also had to wait like 10 minutes before my food was ready and I was the only car in the drive-thru(There weren’t many people in the restaurant either). The long wait times would have been worth it if the food was good, but sadly their carne asada burrito was sub-par and their Jamaica tasted extra watered down. The burrito tasted really bland and the tortilla was gummy. Go somewhere else for your carne asada burrito and jamaica fix.

No more specials on their menu. I was a frequent loyal customer. Now I will not be going back. Prices are too high. 8 bucks now for burrito rice and beans. Special Was 5.80 and that was ok cause burrito was not big and only had carne Asada and guacamole on it. Side of rice and beans. Too many mex places to choose from.

Almost closing time tacos sizzling in fryer night munchies banished. This place started out as a Winchell’s. It was solid for a long time and I visited regularly. Near the end the donuts weren’t that good so I wasn’t that sad to see it go. I was excited to see a new taco shop open in it’s place. Tacos were $ 3 and huge like at Super Sergios. :-) The flour tortillas didn’t have much flavor but that was better than those flour tortillas at El Pollo Loco that have a nasty flavor. Carnitas taco: Light on flavor. After I ditched one of the tortillas I tasted the delicious fried pork. Carne asada taco: Tender marinated beef. Just like eating a delicious steak. Shredded beef taco: Crunchy shell a bit greasy. You know it’s bad for you but can’t put it down because it taste so good. :-) Al pastor taco: Huge amount of pork overflowing the tortillas. :-) Didn’t care for the heat/tabasco flavor. The lady at the counter was nice and I liked the cool green chairs here. Super Sergios has a slightly tastier tortillas but this place is closer to my place and I don’t have to drive through rush hour traffic to get here. :-) They close at 6pm nightly so get here early!

I vowed to never write a review angry, but sometimes, your experience warrants it. After being ignored at the drive thru order menu(when I could hear someone singing), I drove to the window where you pick food up. Where I was also ignored for a few more minutes even though I could see some employees cleaning. At this point I come in and stand in clear view of the employees singing and cleaning. Nothing. So I call! And still no reaction. I thought I’m just going to let this play out. I’m standing there in plain view, calling and they are walking back and forth casually not acknowledging anything! Finally, after a couple of minutes, the guy walks past me with no eye contact and goes to the phone. I hang up and say ‘That was me’. It was all very rude and quite frankly one of the worst interactions I’ve ever had. He tells me oh, I didn’t see you and we only have orders to go. This was after I explained the whole situation to him. He couldn’t have cared less. I asked are you open? Dumb question since the sign says they are open until 9pm and it was 5pm, but whatever. He looks at the clock and admits a reluctant ‘Yeah’ Only orders to go. Remember 5 seconds ago when I told you I was in the drive thru? Incredible. If I hadn’t promised my Mom carne asada fries that actually keep, I would have been long gone. The food here is good enough to where I put up with BS like this all week. Closed before 6pm on a Saturday? Is this a business or someone’s hobby? Carne asada fries are good and DO keep. Red salsa is the best but green is decent. Their burritos are large so be prepared. Sometimes the service is SO good. Others, this. Just don’t count on this place, ever. It’s open to suit their needs more than the customers.

If this is one of the best in the area, then folks there aren’t getting what they deserve. I had a fish taco and an enchilada. The fish taco was rather bland, even the pico didn’t seem all that fresh. A sprinkle of queso fresco was just that. Why bother? Also, it came with two tortillas that were not nearly as fresh as they could be. Removed one of them and ate the taco with just one. Secondly, the enchilada was the same«.berto» type enchilada. Drowning in crap canned sauce, meager amounts of yellow cheese, and not even cooked all the way through. Just plain average. Also, the plastic fork with my plate could barely hold its own in cutting the enchilada. Come on. Don’t the people who work there eat with some of their own flatware? Ever? Hot sauce served with the sit down orders was very mild. The the little bin of salsa on the counter tasted good however. No other choices were made available. Probably due the clientele. No latins were eating here during our lunch stay. Partner order a lunch special. She liked her«crunchy taco» but everything else was just average. No substitutions are allowed when ordering specials. Why can’t someone substitute another taco for a tostada? No TJ style tacos offered here. Service was friendly and smiling and the eating area was clean. Unfortunately though just an average food joint, nothing more. See other Stacky reviews on the taco and other delicious mexi food.

This is, in my opinion, the best taco shop around here. The rolled tacos with guacamole and sour cream added were my absolute favorite. They taste the best fresh from the kitchen, and is topped with lettuce, pica de gallo, and cotija cheese! Their carne asada fries are delicious. You can tell the fries are made from real potatoes,(not that fast food, artificial fry crap a lot of places serve). I like their carne asada, it tastes homemade. There is always lots of parking and plenty of seating in the restaurant. The service is very friendly and courteous. The prices are marvelous too! I haven’t seen a burrito priced at $ 5 in years.

There are days that I’m so busy with work that either I eat a late lunch or not eat at all. This day I wasn’t going without eating. I was in the miramar area, it was 100 degrees outside, hungry and unfamiliar with what restaurants were around. I was in a hurry and it was way too hot to get out of the car. Thanks to Unilocal I found Taco Fiestas new location was only two blocks away and drive thru. Perfect! Like I’ve said in other reviews for Mexican fast food joints… I rate them by their carna asada burritos. I feel that if you can’t get a burrito right in Southern California you shouldn’t be in business. I’m pleased to say that Taco Fiestas newest addition has a good burrito. I couldn’t tell the difference in between this burrito and the mission gorge location which I frequent. Tortilla was cooked just right. A slight outer crisp but not overly cooked. I hate when the tortilla starts to crumble and make a mess. But at the same time it still needs to wrap nicely. The meat was again cooked just right. Still tender and juicy. But not too juicy… I hate when the bottom 1⁄3 of the burrito ends up all soggy and blows out. Then you end up needing a fork which they don’t give you because a burrito is not intended to eat with fork. Yea I said it. You don’t eat burritos with a fork people! Back to my burrito. The amount of guacamole was just right. Every bite had the perfect amount including the bits of tomato and onions. Drive thru service was quick and friendly. Restaurant itself looked new and clean. If ever in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate stopping by and trying something else. Solid taco shop!

Quick service — Friendly dude always working the counter — good combo deals. — The menu is missing a California Burrito, but it’s their most popular item. — The #1 special is a great deal. For 4.95 you get two rolled tacos, and a mixed burrito(Shredded beef, onions, green peppers, and beans). It’s a lot of food for a small price. — Plenty of VIP parking spaces for guests. Parking at other Mexican joints in the area can be a real bear. You’re a VIP at Taco Fiesta!

Watch out Roberto’s and Rigaberto’s there’s a new kid on the block! Taco Fiesta is a 24-hour taco shop with a drive-thru! The restaurant is brand new and really clean. We had the california burrito and 99 cent fish tacos! I like the carne asada better than Roberto’s and Rigoberto’s. The fish tacos were huge! You’re definitely getting bang for your buck! The flavor was good, I wish the pieces of fish were bigger though :(
