NEGATIVE 5 stars please! This place is the absolute worst. I went to buy a new phone & stressed that I wanted my pictures transferred over to my new device. While in the process of manually putting them on my SD card, one of the guys takes it from me & insists he’ll do it for me. Long story short: he didn’t & they didn’t even check to make sure that the pics had transferred over before deleting them off of my old phone. To make matters worse, I visited a t mobile months ago to make sure my photos were being backed up & they assured me that they were. They weren’t. So now I have nothing. I’m definitely working on a long detailed professional letter to send to corporate for their lazy & careless behavior & hopefully someone gets fired. I don’t even want anything else. That’s going to be my mission. Nobody should have to go through what they did to me at this kiosk.

Luvvvvv the staff at t mobile Utc kiosk ! Truly the sexiest kiosk in the mall ! Always treat me well and have answers to all my questions ! Daniel is soooo nice and insightful ! I cannot recommend enough ;)

I went to this store so i can port my number from ATT. I asked the sales representative about the «no contract, no credit check plan» he confirmed that there will be no credit check therefore no credit inquiry, and he only needed my social security number to verify my identity. 1 month later, I check my credit report and I notice a hard inquiry from Tmobile, which lowered my score (that wouldn’t be a problem for me if I wasn’t desperately working on improving my credit score for the past year so i can apply for a new loan this year” now my score has dropped significantly, I wasn’t approved for the loan i applied for. I contacted customer service many times to explain my situation, the technician or agent was mot able to understand my issue, he didn’t even know what hard inquiry means. After several calls, i was able to talk to a supervisor, who apologized and asked me to write a letter to Tmobile so they can remove the hard inquiry.
This is not my fault, I’ve never given my consent to run a credit check, I’ve been lied to/​scammed by Tmobile sales representatives at the mall store.
Beside the above problem, the sales representative also lied about coverage in my area, i provided him with my address and he confirmed that there is LTE/​4G coverage in my area. Again, i was lied to, i only have 1 signal bar which is useless since who ever calls me reaches voicemail.

I’m really deceived by Tmobiles service and will not recommend it to anyone who is relying on network coverage or would like to get a phone plan with no credit check.

Service is hit or miss with this guys. I love tmobile as a comoany but this store lacks quality. The kiosk outside my place of employment always has 10 employees standing around but takes a minute or two for them to realize you’re there. Sucks cause the one by my house is always busy and only has 2 people ever working. Maybe you should transfer some employees around.
Just irks me to see that my monthly bill is going to a bunch of lollygaggers.

Terrible service. Everytime I have come for an upgrade I was asked to come back. The last time I came back they said they would have to put in a ticket since their system wasn’t working and would call me back. 48 hours later no call back and I called back for an update I received a bad attitude, no updates and a condescending manager Kyle who had no idea what was going on. This place is TERRIBLE.
PS — I still have no idea where my phone upgrade still. Somewhere in TMobile purgatory.

There were 4 employees crammed into this tiny store and none of them could help me. The girl in charge refused to let anyone help because I didn’t have an ID on me (it was stolen) even though what I had to do (get a free SIM card noted on my account) was so simple. I went to a different T-​Mobile, and was in and out in 2 minutes with a new SIM card, free of charge.

my bf came in wanting a sim card for his new tablet, and we had to wait for about an hour. other than the wait, i thought the service was good! we came in around 7pm, and there were four groups ahead of us and two people actually working. it’s quite crowded because it’s a pop-​up type store, so if you’re claustrophobic, i suggest against this particular t-​mobile. it was quite crowded with three workers and 8 or so customers inside.
if you must come here, i think going during the off-​times would be a great idea to be served faster and more efficiently!

Great staff, Great Service!
I’ve been to this store Twice.
First time I got a Family Package (4 lines/​100 $) but since we didn’t have Home Internet back then, the staff (Aaron) suggested that we will try an increased of 10 GB for two lines, promising that if we won’t use more than 2.5 GB they will return the additional fees.
I went back yesterday showing that actually we didn’t use the additional fees and they’ve (Danielle) returned the additional fee on to our invoice immediately (I thought I’ll have to fight my way through and proven otherwise).
All was done with a smile and great mood.
A good experience with a a great staff (especially for newcomers)

So I went into this T-​Mobile to do the switch from Verizon and I am so happy that I finally decided to make the switch. Not only is my bill way cheaper but I’m getting more bang for my buck. The best part about it was how easy it was for me to do the whole process. Josh helped me out and he was extremely attentive, helpful, and funny. He made everything super painless, this store has some awesome employees and they all were very helpful in the process. Definitely going to be coming back to add some family members over!

My phone got stolen and they made all the annoying things about it, tolerable. They were so nice, and got me a loaner to borrow while I wait for my replacement. It was surprisingly easy.

Who knew your wireless company will work with you to improve your signal? I got 1 for free. I will be back only to this location. Team is friendly.

After a surprisingly decent experience setting up a switch over at another T-​Mobile nearby, there were still a couple of things we wanted to check on and because we were passing through the area on the way to SD, we went to this store. We should have kept driving.
Three things: don’t come here if you’re claustrophobic, don’t come here if you want to deal with questionable service, just don’t come here.
First of all, the space and location: terrible For a national company to set up a corporate branch location in a tiny, windowless, kiosk within a mall like UTC is beyond my comprehension. One would except for them set up a store that can at least accommodate a good flow of customers. No, not here though. If you ask me, they took a space that would be more suited to a general mall service like Information or Security since it has the potential to actually have windows that overlook the malls. But, because it’s a phone carrier, the would-​be windows have hooks with products scattered across them, mostly behind the counter. With no storage room, the place is just a complete mess. Excuse my language, but I have never seen such a clusterf*** like this.
Secondly, the customer service is beyond awful. There is barely enough room for a handful of people, but somehow they managed to fit 5 staff members, 4 guys and 1 girl, plus customers. Because of the store’s claustrophobic nature, you can hear every other customer’s questions (and complaints) within direct earshot. So of course we couldn’t help but overhear the girl speaking to a customer with a condescending tone about their product choice. When we were finally «helped,» the guy spoke to us in a similar manner, not suggesting, but telling us what we should do because he knew better. We ended up declining and finding another store.
Too much attitude and not enough space. Save your time and sanity and stay away. This business is a fire hazard and should be closed or relocated.

So I went into this T-​mobile on Monday, only negative about this location is that it is tiny in the mall. No big deal, I waited outside in the nice little table set up they had going on. When it was my turn, I had the opportunity to work with Josh. Even though I am in the Car Industry and am a general manager of sales and service shop, I still as a female do get very insecure with my wall up walking into stores alone that I know I will get all these «deals» thrown at me. But lucky for me, Josh didn’t even make me feel uncomfortable, did he offer some stuff yes it is his job as a sales rep, BUT when I said I wasn’t interested he just smiled and we both continued on.
Although the process was long because of myself and not sure of what phone I wanted to upgrade to, then having to deal with figuring out what phone my boyfriend wanted. I ended up leaving only ordering my I-​phone 6 and adding a new line onto my phone plan for my boyfriend but left without a phone.
So after I left, my boyfriend called and told me the phone he was interested in. I ran back into the store to be greeted again by smiling faces and was instantly helped again! I enjoyed the staff there so much that we were all talking and I didn’t even realize that Josh had already got my boyfriends Note 4 all set up and bagged and ended up standing there way longer than needed. Endless to say. Great staff, Great customer service, def recommend.

This should be a negative star, dont trust the employee’s in this place. Raymond trick me and lied in a lot of things, i sign up for a new account and for the new iphone6, he told me that they will not change for the service (with the sim card) until i received my phone, i am still waiting for the phone (which i do understand, normal waiting period is 4weeks) but tmobile billed me for the service (data, talk&txt) i never have a change to use the service, i talk to tmobile support and they told me the store activated my sim card on that day i sign up that is why im getting billed! (
He also told lies about waiving the $ 36 activation fee if i sign up for Jump ($ 10 a month, and can cancel it after the first month) then i found out that if you order online the activation fee is automatically waived.
I told him i want the 1gb plan but he insisted 3gb i told him again 1gb, then i found out he did put 3gb on the contract and told me i can change it after a month after the trial. (tmobile support fix all my problem)

I went to tmobile at UTC to change plans from another carrier. These service was excellent, the employees are very polite and helpful. They work as a team.
Raymond was particularly helpful with a persistent problem that I had and took a lot of patience helping me resolve the issue. Although it is a small store they get a huge amount done!

i have been to att /​verizon and other mobile stores. This has been the best in customer service. awesome customer service. I was on a sunday (there were 3 other customers), late in the evening. Even though it was after their closing hours, we were treated with patience. ATT and verizon needs to learn from tmo. the only drawback is, it is a tiny store and often there are people waiting to get service

The rant:
Where to start? The deal on data roaming outside the US (plus free calls to the US if you’re on Wifi) convinced me. The guys who switched my phone at UTC were great.
But the actual phone service? Miserable.
Y’all remember how Jack Bauer in 24 could make a call from the middle of nowhere on his smart phone? He obviously didn’t have T-​Mobile.
T-​Mobile drops calls in freaking San Diego. Downtown. In La Jolla, In Pacific Beach. In my own front yard!!!
It gets worse.
T-​Mobile sent me a survey about their service. I replied honestly. It sucks.
So tonight about 8:30 I get a robo-​call from T-​Mobile. «The results of your survey indicate that you may be eligible for a service upgrade at work or at your residence. Please hold on till an agent can talk to you.»
Sucker that I am, I held on. For a long time. Listening to jaunty, up-​beat music. This is a synopsis of the conversation.
T-​Mobie: «This is Dan G. How may I direct your call.»
Me: «I didn’t call you, you called me.»
I then explained the robo-​call etc, etc.
T-​Mobile: «Please give me all sorts of info so we can confirm you are you.»
Me: I give the guy my full name and then ask «and what’s your full name, sir?»
T-​Mobile: «We don’t give out our last names. Just Dan G.» Then he says, «Charles, what’s your business’ tax ID number and the password for the account.»
Me: «Dude, you can call me Mr. S, and you freaking called me at home at 8:30 at night. I’m not at the office and don’t have that info. Please call me back during office hours Pacific Time.»
T-​Mobile: «We don’t do call back, You’ll need to call us.:»
Me. «No, thanks,» and I hang up.
So 30 minutes later it dawns on me that I should have asked to speak to this guy’s supervisor. I call the 800 number that my phone showed as having call me.
I get a recording. «Please call back during office hours.»
Ha! I deserved it being such a sucker.
If you’ve read this far, you don’t have enough to do with your life.
But the one thing you need to remember: T-Mobile’s coverage sucks.
Whew. I feel better.

Every time I’ve gone here, everyone seems really friendly and helpful! I bought the iPhone today and they even let me put it on hold for a few hours before I got there. It’s the only store in La Jolla so I guess I can’t be too picky but overall, their service is better than a lot of other locations I’ve stopped at.

You ask questions, compare like with like, picking out a phone spend forever with credit checks, filling out forms, answering dumb questions. Then at the last second, almost like they planned it that way…, they hit you with the BS made up $ 35 «connection fee» that they forgot to mention previously as it was so insignificant versus the $ 5 here and there they claim to save you.
Con men; I walked out.
Don’t fall for this trick; ask them about all charges up front and if any appear once the paperwork is done (in this case AFTER I had paid for the actual phone with my credit card; something I insisted they refund right there) make them deduct it or walk out.
