Just tried on my custom made wetsuit today from them and WOW! Just WOW! I’m kicking myself asking myself, Why did I not get a custom in the past? Very impressed with this operation. Both Hillary and Clark were very cool to work with. Being fair and honest, with high quality product always goes a long way with me. Hence, the review.

So I got to OB intending to take my 6’2 Rusty board out, noticed there were two fat dings, took it to Surf ‘n Sea and a nice gentleman Nick hooked it up! Not only was he very efficient in the quick repair to my dings but also gave me advice on what to do in the future. Thanks so much!

Hilary and the crew fixed up my(excessively expensive Excel) wetsuit with a new collar and I’m cosy and happy every day on dawn patrol.

What?! Only 6 reviews for this shop that does everyone’s wetsuit repairs that I know of? What, do surfers not use Unilocal much?! I first came here in mid 90s to have zippers put into the legs of my suit to make it easier to get my ancient non-stretchy suit over my bony heels and big feet. Then I was gone for a few years, then I was back and had a more modern but very used wetsuit that I brought in to Surf ‘n Sea for repairs, and ultimately they converted it to a spring suit. Next, I’m looking forward to getting my first ever custom full-suit from them! I recommend them, as they’re good people, do good work, are affordable and they’re an O.B./S.D. staple.

The level of experience and craftsmanship really came through in the final product. They were able to tailor to my specific needs. Moreover, a wetsuit I thought I could never wear is now in the water. Following in the thoughts of the other reviews, I would highly recommend their service.

So I bought a women’s O’Neill Epic wetsuit from a local surf shop, and though it was a good fit everywhere else, there was a troublesome bulge below the neckline that allowed water to gush in… kinda defeats the purpose of a wetsuit! I called the shop where I bought it, as well as O’Neill directly, and basically got a ‘Sorry, can’t help you’ from both of them(which meant $ 130 down the drain for a suit I couldn’t use!). They did, however, recommend taking it to a custom wetsuit shop like Surf ‘n Sea, to see if they could fix it. When I tried the suit on for Clark, he quickly identified the problem — my ample breasts(just cuz I surf doesn’t mean I’m built like a boy!) were pulling down on the neoprene fabric around the neck, creating a gap in the seal. Luckily, they were able to alter the upper portion of the suit, giving me both a better fit and higher neckline, along with saving my initial investment. Thanks to Clark & Hillary at Surf ‘n Sea, I’m a happy mermaid again. Next time I need a new suit, maybe I’ll just have them make it.

I just had my wetsuit zipper repaired by the folks at Surf ‘n Sea. They did a great job for a great value. I highly recommend them.

Called first to confirm hours of business. Arrived same day during quoted hours and shop was closed. Left message. Waited 45 minutes. Owner/employee? finally arrived. Had not returned my call. I got a quote that turned out to be higher than another shop did the work for. Unless you don’t mind wasting your time and paying a high price I would not recommend this business.

Hole in my wetsuit makes me oh so cold, but you fixed for twenty dollars. — — — — — — – Check hours before you go. I think: Mon-Tue, Thu-Sat 9:30am-5:30pm. But sometimes gone for lunch.
