i absolutely love this place as i go about 4 or 5 nights a week.(no judgements please) the dude that works there loves to talk to me about anything and everything and always gives me quarters for laundry«anything for the pretty girl» he says. he loves talking about his home-made laundry soap, picasso, the real estate market and anything else we seem to bring up. i do like the beer selection. try the hop juice or stone IPA, those are the strongest. i’d rather go here than 7 – 11. its local(i live down the street) and all in all a great spot to pregame

A clean shop, a really decent selection of beers, and a stone’s throw from my porch– what’s not to love about Sunshine Market? On the handful of occasions that my shopping list has included more than beer(forgot to get crackers at the store, and company’s on the way), I’ve found their products to be surprisingly fresh(not the«out of code» and about two label designs ago stuff I was expecting). Good guys here.

this is real chill spot. it’s probably one of the realest shops in little italy. little italy is a strange spot altogether. no alcohol can be sold after 10pm in order to keep the transients away. to be quite honest the transients don’t scare me, it’s the people that actually have the pull to make you stop selling alcohol at 10pm. all politics aside, this place should be your first place for regulated beverages. i mean, before you go out for drinks at a bar, get drinks here, get drunk at home, walk to the bar and get more drunk, then walk home. am i a genius or what ! the guy that works the nightshift is really cool and whitty. talk to him about anything. he knows all about heartburn and i believe i heard him chime in once about stem-cell research. the beer selection isn’t top-notch, but it’s «choicier» than 7 – 11. they have the basics and plus a few more. they have a good selection of cigarettes for those of you that can’t kick the habit. i think i noticed people playing lottery too. and they always give you black bags when you leave so people can’t tell what you just bought. this is cool. it sucks when people see you with alcohol through your bag and automatically they assume all you do is drink alcohol. then you have to explain to them you drink orange juice and water, too. and all the alcohol is priced so you don’t have to ask, «how much is this?» for everything you pick up. they can actually sell alcohol past 10pm because they are part of the old city ordinance. they choose not to because little italy is so fucking precious, but all the new 7−11s in the neighborhood can’t.
