Summer Deli is a make shift little deli in an office building. It’s good for needing something fast and the convenience. They have all the standards. The best thing about Summer Deli is the fresh ingredients. I got a corned beef on rye and it was very fresh. Great bread, vegetables and decent meat. The sandwich was a little boring for me. I love corned beef and they kind of skimped on it and I’ve never seen a slice of cheese so thin in my life. I’d like to see them bump up their price point and put some more love in to their money makers.

Convenient little deli amidst this all of the office buildings in the area. The food here will get you through your day at work and that’s pretty much it. The service is quick and painless. You order from the menu first and pay when your order is ready. Orders for sandwiches usually come out a few minutes, hot foods take a little bit longer but that is to be expected. They have a solid menu of items, good selection of chips, and a large selection of cold drinks and juices. Everything is decently priced. Items such as chips and drinks are marked up a little. I’ve had the Bomb and Grenade deluxe sandwiches. Both were good and served as a good lunch. I wish the sandwiches had more value and taste. On inspection, the quality of the ingredients aren’t anything to rave about. Everything that goes into the sandwich seem pretty ordinary and generic and all of it together didn’t make much of a lasting impression.

Score is ¾…here’s the breakdown! Ordered — breakfast potato burrito Price — 4.5 Size — 5(easily) Taste — 3.5 Here are the details… the burrito is massive and exactly what it says, potato, egg, cheese, bacon. Ingredient portions in that order. The issue is that there were so few bites of all flavors. Some very large pieces of potato in burrito where you had 2 to 3 consecutive bites of just potato and egg. Cheese was all melted in 1 area and bacon was sparse… I’ll give it a 2nd go… but this was my experience

Sitting in this place writing this review, after I had the Philly Steak sub. It wasn’t bad, just not good. the think tasted like they pulled open a hot pocket and but the meat and cheese on a roll. I could of just went to 7 – 11. First time and last time eating here.

This is a decent deli in rancho Bernardo that has fresher tasting sandwiches than the majority of the large chains like subway. For the convenience alone it is worth 4 stars, as it is walking distance to many local businesses. I think the interior could use a little work and the employees could be a little more friendly. However, if you are looking for a quality sandwich to go and are within walking distance there is no better choice. I recommend the chicken pesto!

Love their Chicken Pesto sandwich… In my opinion, it is the best! Their breakfast sandwiches are also delicious. Place is down the street from where I work, so it is very convenient when you are pressed for time.

Probably the best deli the Poway/Rancho Bernardo area. Why? It’s a REALDELI. They have a good selection of good quality deli sandwiches and that means everything. Sidny’s is too pricey. I got the most popular item: The Gyro WRAP. SIGNMEUP! This mystical meat baby could be a home run if they toast up the tortilla to make it less doughy and add maybe add a little avocado. I’ll be back soon to eat my way thru the menu but so far so good. Good location with plenty of parking. Few lines/short wait. Prices are about what you’d expect. $ 6.95-ish Cashier/owner was genuine and friendly.

Came here with a friend for lunch. I have been here several times with him in the past while he picked up food and the place always smells really good. I ended up getting a Cobb Salad(I’m lame I know) and had a mixed reaction when I opened it up. First I’m pretty sure Cobb salads have bacon on them and there was a definite lack of it. However for less than $ 7 I got a huge salad with plenty of sliced turkey and cheese, olives, tomatoes, and carrots. I was very satisfied with the portions for the price. The staff was very friendly and the place is clean.

I’ve seen this place countless times, as I work in the area. I am sad that I had not eaten here sooner! Food was yum(I got a Ruben), lots of beverage choices, I was in and out in under 10 mins. Service was courteous and pricing was decent. Will definitely return!

Irine has been making fresh sandwshes at Summers deli for years. This is a great alternative to a Burger and fries.

Went here for the first time today and thought it was great! Chicken pesto sandwich was delicious, it was clean, didn’t take very long, and the people working there were quite nice. I was suprised that it was so empty. The only thing that would have made it better would have been outdoor seating. They had tables outside, but the chairs were stacked, making them uninviting.

These guys have a great location, they’re in an area filled with corporate buildings which probably make way for hundreds of potential customers. Walking in was like walking into a convenience store, sorta like a very small 7 – 11, where they make sandwiches and wraps too. That said, I had lunch there and I see why it’s not more popular. I got a BLT(my favorite type of sandwich). The B was okay, a bit dry though. The L was what I expected it to be, the T was there… but I would’ve been happier with an extra slice or two. The bread was dry(note: probably means older than a few days). I thought the potato salad wasn’t too bad. Around $ 7.50 for the sandwich and side potato salad. According to Unilocal’s pricing scheme, this is cheap. Personally, I’ve gotten bigger, much tastier sandwiches for cheaper/same price elsewhere. So while the cost is cheap, so is the value. I’m overall very disappointing, but then again, I also used to work in Point Loma. We had Santana’s, The Brown Bag Deli(omg, best sandwiches ever), Phil’s BBQ and Chic-Fil-A down the street, an Olive Garden if you wanted, wings, donuts, burgers, basically whatever you wanted.

This place is the last resort when I need food last minute since I work close. I would rather have canned soup sometimes. The Pollo Diavalo sandwich is the best thing on there. The salad is pricey for some iceberg lettuce. I got a quesadilla once, and wanted some peppers in there, and I got charged an extra $ 2 on a $ 3.49 quesadilla for the peppers. They told me to pay after the food is out, so what can I say then?

This place is a godsend sometimes when I’m looking to get something to eat at lunch. The menu is very robust, which is usually typical for a business park deli. I eat here pretty much everyday and have tried most of the menu, breakfast and lunch. I can say I’ve always been pleased. My fav by far is the Pollo Diavlo sandwich, which is chicken, mozzarella cheese, onions, and bell peppers on a french roll. Mmmm… Prices are good as far a business park delis go. The girls that work there are super nice too.
