Well I will start off on a good note, the food is always fresh as advertised, but I went there today and could not believe how unkempt the restaurant was. Quite a few tables hadn’t been wiped down, the floor looked like it hadn’t been swept in a long time, there was a pile of chip crumbs right by the entrance, the floor by the soda machine was incredibly sticky, the counters were soaking wet, they were out of lids for small cups, and to top all of that off, all of the employees disappeared and when the next wave of customers came in, there was no one in the front. They came out after about a minute, but the family looked a little confused at this and they obviously did not get the usual greeting. Not saying I won’t go back, but I hope there is improvement.

Long line, slow. Out of bottled water, out of chocolate milk, much of seating is blocked by people waiting in line. My kids want sandwiches with Italian bread and finally get to place order and there is no Italian bread. How can you manage your bread supply to be out of bread on a Saturday at lunch time. My kids only eat the Italian bread. The only plus was that the cashier apologized about the bread and slow service as. i bought my kids some cookies. Should have given them to us for free for the wasted time in line and no sandwiches.

This hands down, is the worst Subway in all of San Diego. The owner of this particular store must be cheap, cheap, cheap or it suffers from a really lazy manager. Evey time I have gone into this store, they are out of multiple items. Last time they were out of flat bread and olives(?). This time they had no Italian bread and no bacon(?). Really? This is in a decent part of town, next to a LA Fitness. They have to be losing a lot of business. They have lost mine, even though its a ways to another Subway or instead to the local liquor/deli Golden Cheers makes great sandwiches for reaonable prices.

On Saturday 182015 at 4:27pm I visit your 8872 Navajo RD San Diego, CA store #10085 – 0 for a very unpleasant visit. Let’s start with the good, and only good about that location. I was greeted with a normal ‘Welcome to subway’ by the manager Michael .W. Now, let’s get to the bad. The employee by the name of Deborah or Debry prepared my two sanwiches. While preparing them she sneezed on ONE of the sandwiches in front of the manager Michael .W, and myself. I was in shock, but stood there thinking she was going to remake the sandwich but she did NOT, and the Manger just said ‘Bless You’ watching her sneeze on my sandwich. How gross dude. She just wrapped up the sandwich and pushed it along. I was thinking what in the world kind of training is this. Michael, W the manager then proceeded to check out my meal, which I also got two sides of broccoli soup. First off, he burned his self trying to place the food in the container, and in the process fling hot soup on me that hit my shirt. He then PLACED the two hot soups in the SAME bag as my sandwiches, with the soup dripping from the side. I thought the soups come in their own bag, so that was a first. Then, I had to remind him can I please have some crackers that comes with the soup. You guys need to take a DEEP look on that location asap. I will send a picture of my ticket, the way they placed my items in the bag. Update: Spoke and met with district manager Tonia. She was very kind, and apologized for my bad visit and refund me, along with the employee who sneezed in my sandwich.

So I got a flatbread sandwich dropped off to me at my work. When I bit into my sandwich I could barley chew it. The middle of my sandwich is solid as a rock. I wish I could upload a video of it. I can knock on my sandwich. I would highly recommend going to the next nearest Subway.

Today was the second time I’ve been to this location. They had obviously had a busy day, and we’re out of a couple types of bread, but that isn’t their fault. The woman in line in front of me was quite rude about it, but the woman making sandwiches was very professional and handled this lady very well. Her name was Ricki and she was polite and delivered great customer service.

Service was poor. The guy in front asked for white bread. She said we are out of it. He asked what do you have. The phone rings(3 workers are on) and they hand her the phone after she whispers is it my sister. She goes and takes the call in the kitchen while leaving the customer standing there. He said whatever and walked out. She was like oh I’m sorry. Then I stood there and waited awhile to get my order even started. The person making the sand which obviously didn’t want to be there. He was throwing my sandwich together carelessly. I get it is a 5 buck sand which but plenty of places I’ve gone for 5 bucks and they care about the customer. Only reason I went to subway was it was across the street and I had to be somewhere

This Subway is, hands down, my favorite, and not only because it’s the closest to my house(which it happens to be). Even if it weren’t, I would happily go out of my way to buy from this location, due to the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. I have a special thing that I usually get, a kind of out-of-the-ordinary«sandwich», and they’ve all learned my little quirk and get it perfect every time. Also, everyone is always upbeat and energetic, I always get huge smiles and genuine greetings when I walk in, and the dining room is always clean. Can’t ask for more than that. Well done! :)

I’ve been coming here about once a month for almost a year. It’s not a bad option for breakfast after a nice hike up & down Cowles Mtn. Keeps me away from the taco shop & blowing a perfectly good workout ~ lol! I was surprised at the bad reviews, I’ve never had a bad experience here. The girls behind the counter are always very pleasant & efficient. They label the sandwiches without being asked, which saves me the trouble of having to ask. I’m not much of a sandwich person, I like having to option of flatbread. I used to LOVE their coffee when they served Seattle’s Best. What they have now is terrible! It’s not just this location, it’s the same at a couple other locations. yuck.

They often run out of meatballs towards the evening time. It’s been a few cases where it’s been the middle of the day and still no meatballs ready. I wouldn’t be such a stick about it but it’s the only sandwich I eat here, so it’s a little disappointing when that’s all I order and it’s not ready.

Last minute more people than expected coming over for Super Bowl. The girls were so helpful in getting a platter of sandwiches for my party! Quick, easy & they looked wonderful! Thank you!!!

The ladies on staff were very attentive and very welcoming! I really appreciate that as a customer. The only thing that I disliked was the shelves that the chia were on were not fully stocked and not really a variety :(other than that, I got in and out at a responsible time. It was clean and everyone was sweet!

So i walked in here on my lunch break(I don’t know what provoked me because I usually go to the one by albertsons) anyways, I ordered my sandwich which was mediocre, and I got to the register to pay and I handed the guy 100 dollar bill, he said«oh read the sign we don’t take that» the sign he was referring to was a 1 inch piece of paper on the register. .I said don’t you think you should have that sign before people order? He said ya I just started I didn’t even know that was there til today anyways. I didn’t have my debit card so I had to pay with a back up card for a $ 5 sandwich Never again!

Went here for lunch today and it was horrible. First off, the lady who made our sandwiches was highly unpleasant. Didn’t smile once and didn’t even make eye contact with us. she had this huge sour frown on her face the whole time. The second thing that upset me was that we only got five meatballs in our footlong and didn’t notice it until we were already home. Last time i checked there are supposed to be eight. maybe they cut it back, but it was just a whole lot of sauce and not a lot of meatball, gross. Thirdly, they were out of all but 2 kinds of bread. i won’t be coming back to this particular subway anytime soon.

Wow! Looking at the other reviews I guess I went in there at the right time. I walked in to get some sandwiches and there was only one lady ahead of me. She was getting a lot of sandwiches for her kids soccer team. The girl behind the counter helping her called out some dude from the back to help me. He made my sandwiches and I was out of there in no time with no problems.

This is my first Unilocal review. Nothing has ever quite compelled me to write one, until now. It was a brisk and cloudy San Diego day. I had just finished a pleasant Cowles Mountain hike with my boyfriend when I noticed that my stomach was as empty as my bank account. I remembered I had a gift card to Subway. My first error was in deciding to return to this particular Subway location. I have sworn to myself many times before to never go back, but alas, out of convenience, I have been back a few times. I walked up and saw a line of about seven customers ahead of me. I decided to practice patience and forgiveness at the same time by giving this place another shot. As I slooowly approached the front of the line, I noticed the customer in front of me was taking a long time with his order. Then I realized, it was no fault of his own. He had asked for his sandwich to be toasted, and the employee toasted it without anything on it– just bread— and then she acted very irritated when he asked for it to be toasted with cheese and meat on it. The poor customer apologized, as if it were his fault. The employee did not apologize, but instead gave him attitude about it. Then, a different customer(who had been rung up prior to the aforementioned gentleman) approached the register and said she realized she’d been charged for a foot-long, and she had ordered a six-inch. The girl at the register looked very confused, and very irritated. She was not quick to fix the problem, nor did she apologize for the inconvenience. The customer was clearly annoyed at this point. I finally made it to the register. PHEW. I’VEBEENINLINEFOR20MINUTES. Food. Time. Now. I sat down and unwrapped my sandwich. To my initial delight, I saw a piece of bacon sitting next to my sandwich, and I thought to myself, «How lucky am I that this little piece of heaven worked it’s way into my life?!» For you see, I had ordered a black forest ham sandwich, sans bacon. I proceeded to investigate the sandwich, only to realize, ITWASNOTMYSANDWICH. I notified an employee. The employee looked irritated. They offered to remake it, but at this point, I trusted nobody. I assumed that it would take another 15 minutes. I am pissed off and hungry and thoroughly unimpressed. I declined their offer to remake it and sat down with the sandwich that I did not order. I(wrongly) assumed that the person who got MY sandwich was long gone. Unfortunately, right after I took my first bite of the sandwich, a gentleman walks up to me holding my sandwich… and I was apparently eating his. He told an employee the sandwich he received was not what he ordered, and she IMMEDIATELY snatched it out of his hands and chucked it into the trashcan. I was standing right there, mouth agape, in disbelief. I could have saved my sandwich. I was so close. The employee involved in all of these tales of woe is the SAME employee. I wish I had remembered to catch her name, but I was distracted by all of the appalling customer service. There were three employees working, but this one girl in particular was incredibly rude, unaware of her customers and her surroundings, quick to get angry, never apologized to the customer, and was very resistant to rectifying these situations. A different female employee half-heartedly offered me a cookie, in an attempt to un-do the damage. I declined. I just wanted my sandwich and my time back. An apology wouldn’t have hurt either. I understand these employees aren’t making that much money, but there are plenty of people out there who will work hard and well for the same wage. I have held similar job positions, and I provided excellent customer service. These employees screwed up four customer transactions in a row. Within one half hour. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a very regular occurrence. It really is unacceptable. So this time I mean it. I will never, ever, ever, ever, no matter how hungry I am or how many gift cards I receive as presents, return to this Subway location again.

Service was very slow. It took over 20 minutes to start my order and it wasn’t that busy. This is the second time it’s happened and it seems like the same two staff are always the problem. There was an error in the order and I asked for the sandwich to be remade. The employee had a little temper tantrum about it and was very unprofessional. I will never return to this location.

Mostly good. Sometimes short staffed. I’m there all the time since it’s right next to my gym. There are two HORRIBLE employees that just destroy the level of service. But everyone else is really good. So as long as you don’t get those two, you’re in good shape.

Ouch, what a harsh review. Staff problems have always been a problem for most Subways. If you get a new person it’s like roulette — you may get an overstuffed sandwich(yay) or a threadbare one(boo). That said, I really never had any issues with this particular Subway. I often stop by after shopping at Fresh & Easy. Any time there has been a line, I still got to order my sandwich fast enough to be comparable or better than sitting in a fast food queue. Also did not experience any of the sanitation issues or dried out bread the other reviewer described. Like any place with high crew turnover, I keep watch. If I get a sour experience then I’ll go elsewhere for a few months+ before trying again.
