Food came out fine and most of the staff was friendly, but why does your cashier draw pictures and not interact while taking your order? Really strange.

Cute starbucks it must be the happening place. The batista was super cool with her pompador. They were feat and efficent. I ordered a grande flat white and a peppermint mocha. It was packed, they was not a lot of seating area, i don’t know if this is the usual or because they were all headed to the observatory for the Ambassdor show. Cute and convenient spot.

Stopped by yesterday for a eggnog latte and I was pleasantly surprised with the excitement I got from the baristas when I ordered it. I didn’t even notice how many new drinks are coming out! It’s pretty exciting and can be overwhelming but that’s why I keep coming back; I feel comfortable here to ask questions and discover new things that Starbucks has to offer. Thanks again for the help, peeps at this location!

I’ve been coming here 4 times a week for as long as I can remember. I always bring my dog who is 12 pounds and pick her up and carry her inside, order my food/drinks and sit outside with her. Today I was asked to leave because I carried her inside again. I explained to the cashier that we are always here and it’s never been a problem before. As a GOLD card carrying member, we get special perks, but I’ve never asked for a special chair for her!

This location gets 5 stars thanks to an employee by the name of Ely. He has great work ethic and knows his regulars.

Literally can’t with their music. Trying to write a paper and hear my own thoughts is almost impossible with their loud annoying music. Isn’t Starbucks a place to relax?! Turn this shit off or at least down. Fuck.

Quick service, trendy location. They seemed cheerful but a little bored when I came by there around 3PM. I’m guessing they must have been tired out from all the busyness of the day. Starbucks did not disappoint with their new toffee chip caramel Frappuccino. As usual, way too much sweet, creamy goodness! But irresistible. Kudos to the baristas for their skill at making these drinks so amazing. Maybe not as unique as the«craft» coffee places, but their drinks are reliable and effective. :)

The folks here are really nice and work hard to create a warm, friendly, welcoming environment.

It has all your typical Starbucks things: atmosphere, free wifi, the usual food selections, and seating can fill up quickly during certain times of the day. The workers are typically cleaning inside when it’s not during a rush, but the outside can be a bit dodgy for cleanliness — not in a normal, outside kind of way, but more in the way that I’ve more than once seen a homeless person«hacking their innards» to be displayed for all the world… right in the seating area. In that respect, it’s super gross. Especially since I’m sure no one cleans outside and«cleaning» is left for the rare rain we receive. I usually stop by here with my sons a couple times a week, and order banana nut bread and water for them, and sometimes a frappuccino for myself. The staff have been nice, and, on my birthday, went all-out decorating my cup. It was a nice touch. Sometimes the staff can seem aloof, but they’re friendly enough and hold meaningless/small-talk conversation well. They’ve not messed up my order once, not even the more complex ones, and my order has never been messy like a photo on here has shown. They’re pretty quick and there isn’t much of a delay even when they are having a rush of customers. It’s a more laid back location, which I like and which fits in with North Park’s vibe in general, but if you’re used to how the average Starbucks employee is expected to kiss your *** and bend backwards to your every expectation over a drink order, then you probably won’t be as satisfied with the service.

I came here for breakfast really quick on my way to work, I ordered a chicken sandwich and a caramel macchiato, not only I had a hard time to order because apparently they didn’t understand what I was saying, but even after they got it, they made the caramel macchiato without any coffee, just milk by itself, probably because they were in a hurry, to my surprise when I start drinking it in my car, I had ordered a coffee which had not coffee at all in it.

Starbucks has its benefits. But… There are two amazing coffee shops in shouting distance to this one. Go to Calabria or Young Hickory and support local business… With VASTLY better coffee.

I enjoy coming here as I used to frequent the locations in Hillcrest. none of which were particulalry friendly. The manager lady is friendly and always has a nice smile for everyone. People think that doesn’t mean much in today’s world but to be greeted with a nice smile and a friendly attitude is a great way to start the day. This location would really benefit from large ceiling fans to keep the air circulating because it’s ALWAYS warm and stuffy in here. Either that or run the AC more. Additionally, the **blinding** sunlight that shoots through the windows from 7am till 930am can really add to the discomfort so thicker sun shades for these type of windows would really help.

I ordered a venti psl and what I got was a venti cup HALFFULL with whip and a grande portion of drink. If I wasn’t in such a hurry I would have noticed it was awfully light for a venti drink. Never going to this location again! They weren’t even busy, they should have had the time to make it right, especially when I pay 5 freaking dollars for it!

Always great brew and they move through the line fairly well, it’s the closest to my house. So, I have been here many times. Also, larger seating area is great and outside seating too. The overall service level though is not up to the five star rating as I rate most Starbucks. Overall, it feels like they don’t give their full attention to me and others at the front, the conversations with coworkers seem to be more important. Additionally, they don’t add value; giving product suggestions, etc. like most Starbucks. I know this was a blanket post on all the employees, but I feel it in the store’s culture.

This review should be read as a comparison with the average Starbucks which in my view are amazingly similar across the world.(Except the Target and Von’s locations but even those are pretty close). The staff seemed helpful polite and efficient on my visit just as they are at all the Starbucks I’ve ever been to around the world. This location IS a bit dirty FOR A Starbucks. Not as dirty as most indie coffehouses, but it looks like somebody crumbled an entire muffin top on the table and floor next to me. The chairs and some tables could use a good wipe down as they seem to have dried milk stains? The crumb pile has been here 3 ½ hours with an average of two customers per hour and 3 employees behind the counter. One of the employees just came around and pushed the table crumbs onto the floor. Now a little tiny old lady with is hobbling around in the crumbs which are beginning to encrust the soles of her orthopedic shoes.

I was in the mood for my usual Caffe Latte with Skim Milk with 3 packets of Honey and a dash of Cinnamon. Now, when I visit a Starbucks, and ask for this concoction… I receive the 3 packets in my hand to complete the order myself. But, today, at this Starbucks… the Barista completed the order from start to finish. That in itself deserves 5 Stars. Thank you to the Barista who was extremely friendly, and personable. And, thank you to the efficient cashier. My only complaint is the parking situation. Although there are parking spaces on University Ave. Most of them are taken. Today I lucked out with a space off the side street worth 15 minutes. That works too! Enjoy!

Honestly, if this wasn’t so close to my yoga studio, I’d skip this place and go somewhere else. Usually I don’t waste my time writing a review for Starbucks(considering there are so many of them), but I have to let people know that the customer service here is crap. The baristas usually have no idea what they are doing. Granted, I understand it’s very easy to get overwhelmed considering it is a busy Starbucks and there are usually a lot of people who line up in the morning. I get that it’s not easy to please everybody. I work for customer service, so I should know. However, you would think that after working there for so long, you would know the ins and outs of getting people’s drinks on time as well as their pastries. TWICE I’ve been here and the incompetent person at the register forgets my pastry. Is it because I choose not to have it toasted/heated? I had to ask the barista serving my drink if I could have my pastry(which wastes even more time for them and the people behind me). Seriously, training is needed for these employees. I give you guys an F-.

THEWORSTSERVICE I HAVEEVERHADATANYSTARBUCKSLOCATION. EVER. Ralphie took our order and completely got it wrong. Even though I dumbed it down for him and told him exactly how I want my drink, he gave me attitude and answered as if he actually understood what I was asking for. Then we had to wait ten minutes for both of our incorrect drinks without him or the barista, Monica, correcting it for us because they were too busy conversing. Thank god we don’t ever have to frequent this location.

My first impression of this Starbucks is that it is a very busy location. I came by about mid morning and the line was literally to the door to order, and there were several people standing around waiting for their order at the pick up counter. The employees were doing their best rushing around in a mad confusion trying to meet the demand. That being said, my observation led me to conclude that they were under maned for such a peek time. I certainly do no blame nor hold the employees responsible because it is, what it is. However, I am noting it for management to consider having more employees available during peek hours. The good thing is, even though they were crammed, they still managed to serve up a nice unsweetened iced green tea( ) and a seriously moist morning bun.( ) The bun was very fresh and flavorful. $ 1.95 seems a fair price for such a yummy bun.( ) Oh hail the magic bun!
