Sure miss this place, so many great times when NP was still rad. The douchebag place that it is now True North makes walking by like squeezing a lemon into a cut.

I miss Shooterz. I used to go all the time on Thursdays, 80’s night. I was introduced to this place by a friend. Since we went there so often, we joked, that we should get the «Bullshit stamp» tattooed on our wrist so we could get in free every week. Ahhh… I miss trying to scrub that stamp off of my wrist.
And just for the record, no I did not curse the music.

I enjoy 80’s music. I enjoy Long Islands. I enjoyed both on several occasions at Shooterz, a bizarre pool hall/​dance club hybrid that seemed to attract equal numbers of North Park’s two largest demographics: Latinos and gay folk. (While scenesters may come a close third, they were only spotty attenders from what I remember). Even though I am neither gay nor Latino (but do very much enjoy Morrissey – so I should get a free pass), I never felt out of place at Shooterz. Too bad it’s gone. I do wish they’d replace it with something. The empty shell looks disturbing.

A couple years back Shooterz was alive and kickin. As time went by, it became empty with not-​so-​great music (Janeece curse).
80s night was the night I lived for and went religiously to (no joke) for almost a year straight (Thanksgiving tradition).
The $ 3 cover went to $ 5. The drinks were ok and the music used to be good. They were the reason I moved to North Park! Now it’s closed due to gentrification. Damn you gents!

I am so sick and tired of Club 80’s. If you go every Thursday and stay from the beginning until closing time, you will hear the B-52’s «Rock Lobster». It was cool at first, but now it sucks.

I’ve only been to Shooterz on Thursday nights, which is their 80’s Night, and I’ve enjoyed myself every time. Drink prices are low as you would expect to pay at any other bar.
The only gripe I have is that they charge for you to enter the dance area. Lame-​o. But, I stubbornly pay it anyway every time, because I can’t resist the temptation of Tom Tom Club blaring from the speakers…

Shooterz is a nice relaxed place to chill and play a game of pool.
On Th, Fr, Sa they used to get the dance room going with various themed nights (retro 80s, goth, etc.)
