Super local dia de los muertos festival with locals serving tacos, homemade baked goods and beautiful altars overflowing with bright, orange marigolds. The sunny flowers lighten the alters of the young men who perished… too many. Artist sold graphic t-​shirts, one-​of-​a-​kind styles at ridiculously low prices. Children made alter crafts and painted their faces like cherubic skeletons. Less somber than mission day of the day festivals, and located in a gorgeous, victorian neighborhood. Music was pounding, couples dancing and the sun shined. This neighborhood community center is a very bright spot in a warm and welcoming community.
