Great Rubin sandwich; warm friendly atmosphere; inexpensive; a little hard to find because it’s at the back of the building.

Love going here for lunch. So convenient and waking distance from the office. Try their Italian Chicken breast and turkey fiesta.

I love this sandwich shop. I usually go to this sub shop several times a month. I enjoy the variety of sandwich options. In addition to the standard menu items, the store also offers to toast any of their sandwiches. I really enjoy the options for toasting the subs and have been pleased with the overall quality of preparation. Additionally the sub shop consistently prepares excellent food consistently. I have never had a disappointing experience at this restaurant.

I love Sally. She is so sweet. I have been eating THEUSUAL,(for me) at least once a week since our offices moved to this area. I love the grilled cheese and I always feel at home when I dine in or carry out with her. She knows everyone who comes in because everyone becomes a regular.

Great family owned deli in the heart of Mission Valley. The Ruebens, Pastrami on rye, tuna melts, all take me back to a NYC deli even though this is in a business building in Mission Valley. Sally & Erika cook it up hot and fresh and with a smile, don’t let the office building throw you off. In fact-I just got hungry and am heading out to Sally’s Place now!

Not a bad place at all for what it is. I was a little worried when I got here cause it looked drab and I feared they were profiting off people who forgot their lunches in the offices next door(me). Nothing really for vegetarians, but luckily I eat seafood so opted for the tuna sandwich with the potato salad. Everything was very fresh, especially the bread! Potato salad was pretty amazing too, they put enough relish/pickles in there to give it a nice flavor and crunch. Second time I went here bread wasn’t as fresh, but it was still good. It’s a perfect place for what it is– a place for people in the offices nearby to grab a quick lunch.

Don’t change a thing, it’s a great deli with really friendly service. You have to look for it but once you find it(in the back of the building) you will be hooked. Best deli in the area for lunch.

I think I just found my new favorite sandwich. The Pastrami Sub! Oh holy Beejeebus!!! The bread is really warm and when I ask from extra Mayonaise they really give me extra. As soon as I bite into that sandwich, there is mayo all over the place! I LOVEIT! So delicious… Plus I really like how you get a side of potato or some other salad thrown in. Did I mention she has like the best chip selection on planet earth?! I mean this woman’s got even those really hard to find ones. Come on who else carries Spicy buffalo ranch dorito chips?! As soon as I saw her potato chip rake I had that Willy Wonka song in my head, «…-In the world of pure imagination…»!“ Yeeeeah baby, give it to me!

SALLY’s PLACE is the best deli ive ever had. Been coming here since 2004, regardless of where I work I drive here for lunch. Decent prices. I’ve only tried their BLT on wheat w/Mayo toasted w/pasta on side and additional large pasta to go. Sally herself is so sweet, i love the fact that i call in my order and she already knows who I am. This deli is hidden… i only known of this place because it was next to the office building i use to work at. Its better to call in your order cz it gets pretty busy in there. My took my new coworker here for lunch and loves it as much as i do, its affordable and fulfilling!

Good food, great prices, and above and beyond customer service. I just started working nearby Sally’s Place. I have been there once, but it was good and the prices seemd to be about what it would cost to make a sandwich at home. I will be back. This review is mainly about the exemplary customer service experience I had here. Like I mentioned above, I have been in this place once. A co-worker of mine(who goes often) recommended it. I took my co-worker’s lunch order, but my co-worker said just to say her name and they’ll know what to do. And they did. I went in and introduced myself by name. Got my food and off I went back to the office. I didn’t know a memory card had dropped out of my wallet… fast forward to about a week later… my co-worker(that Sally’s Place knows by name) came to my office asking if I had lost a memory card — it was mine. They took the time to check the card, saw my first name and remembered it from me introducing myself on my only visit. Wow! That’s the kind of people I want to give my business to. Thanks Sally’s Place!

I work in the building and sometimes have no time to go out and grab lunch. But who needs to when you have this awesome little treasure!!! I love love love the ham and turkey provolone sub:) the bread is to die for and all the ingredients are super fresh and yummy. Sally’s is very reasonable price and Sally herself is a very welcoming sweet lady. I always look forward to having lunch here as well as catching up with her. I definitely would recommend this deli to anyone who loves sandwiches the way I do!!!

Sally’s Place is one of the better if not best food options I have had while working in an office building. My prior office location sported an Organic to Go which was super expensive and eventually miserable(my co-worker described it as «cardboard»). After we moved office buildings, finding Sally’s to be directly below us was heaven sent. It may not contain«organic» foods, but it is fresh and there is definitely a selection. Not to mention, Sally(the owner) is as sweet as pie and always remembers your name and your order(if you have a «usual» order, of course). The prices are also very reasonable and you have the option of calling your order ahead if you are the type. If you order a sandwich, you get a choice of potato salad, cole slaw, pasta salad for a side — I *always* appreciate a small side! My favorite sandwiches would definitely include the Tuna Melt and the Vegetarian Pita Pocket. She carries a wide array of sodas and drinks as well as chips/snacks. After the 4 months of eating here almost weekly, I have also noticed that everyone seems to adore getting Sally’s soups. The reason I have yet to try one is because they usually run out of it by the time I get myself there and, while waiting in line, I hear Sally having to tell some poor, disappointed soul she is out of soup for the day. The place may be small, but Sally does a lot with what she’s got and I have almost always been satisfied.

This place is amazing! I teach right down the street and I ALWAYS tell my students to go see sally at lunch. Food is fresh, priced well and nicest lady around! Thanks Sally!
