This is my favorite coffeehouse in town! The staff is friendly and their coffees and teas are excellent. My favorite drinks are the Mexican mocha and chai tea latte. Unlike a lot of the coffee chains, their drinks are consistent in quality and I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for them to make my drink. It is definitely worth trying if you are looking for a new coffee joint.

I love the teas and lattes here. Also love the calm environment. Staff is always friendly. Prices are good. Wish there were vegetarian options for brunch. No biggie. I will keep coming.

Come here practically daily Coffee: 3 Its hot, has caffeine and drinkable Espresso: 4 Very good Food: 2 One example, the chorizo burrito is about the size of a small cell phone and is something like $ 7, comes with a small vat of pace picante sauce or the like Price: 2 Food overpriced. Drinks seem a little higher than average Service: 3.8 Often understaffed creating long waits, high turnaround makes it tough to get a consistent drink Convenience(close to my office): 5 Average 3.3

While I really love the service as well as the extensive menu at Ryan Bros, the line here is just as long as their other locations, they need to have more than two people working during peak times. Parking was a pain, but the café is pretty big and has plenty of seating, which was great since they wait was pretty long to get our order. We went with peanut butter mochas and they were excellent. Good quality coffee, made perfectly. Prices are fair and they offer a few sweet and savory snacks that i have yet to try as well. The coffee is worth returning for, one of my favorite local chains!

Decent coffee shop but doesn’t live up to the hype of being on Eater’s San Diego coffee shop list. I had their dark blend of drip coffee. The cup was super bitter and ashy, not the quality of a proper dark roasted coffee. Perhaps it was an off day, but I certainly wasn’t impressed by the coffee. The venue itself was sort-of dimly lit and sort-of disorganized. Half of it is organized like a dinner and the other half as a coffee shop. Super weird. Also, they only serve breakfast until 11AM. Even McDonald’s has all day breakfast now. Come on.

Upbeat staff serving delicious drinks in a cool semi industrial looking coffee shop. The Mexican Mocha is my favorite. The staff usually plays good music at the right volume to not distract you if you are reading a book or working while you’re here. Highly recommended.

First came here for their amazing Red Rooster tea. But today I had their lunch, Pretzel bun burger, and it was amazing!

Thought I would grab a cuppa joe after an early morning airport run. And with 200 reviews and a 4.5 star rating i was excited tio try out ryan bros. Coffee really just mediocre and the barista hardly has a notion of how to froth milk properly. The smallest size for espresso drinks is 12oz, so i ordered a wet cappuccino in a smaller cup, came with 2 inches of burned dry foam and filled with almost ice cold milk. On to the next. Check the photo to see what to expect.

Great coffee & great, friendly baristas/service. The place also has a cool, cozy ambiance with lots of seats. My first time there today but will definitely be coming back!

Located in the up and coming Neighborhood of Barrio Logan this place is a must for coffee. I been here during the week and today on a Sunday and always superb customer service. I usually go for a vanilla late-almond milk and always is outstanding phenomenal. Today I tried the Fantasy Bar and it is delish. The décor is hipster like, trendy, and they play relaxing indi music. Will record to you, my friends, and family.

Ryans Bro!!! My favorite brothers! I kind of want to keep this place a secret. It’s truly one of a kind. I love their Hawaiian Coconut!!!(off the menu) Very spacious building with tvs, books, games, and study tables. WiFi is free. Best of all great service. Also try their breakfast burritos, I could barely finish one to myself. Plus, their pastries are fresh. Give yourself plenty of time, it can get very busy. Ryans Bro, please extend your hours!

Came for lunch before work, it was really good! I got an TAB sandwich it came with chips and salsa, I’m pretty sure the salsa is canned not the best ever. The expresso is amazing super creamy. I love it!

Iced Mexican mocha for the win!!! I discovered Ryan’s thanks to my co-workers & for a while I was bummed it took me so long to discover this place, alas all is good bc Ryan’s is now in my life. Cute little coffee shop tucked away in the heart of Barrio Logan. Oddly enough when I first met cashier Ryan I thought I was meeting like. THEEE Ryan… I’m still a little nervous to ask if he actually knows the brothers, & no I don’t think he is related. Maybe? If anyone could find out for me that’d be great. Well, anyway, staff is suuuuper friendly. It can sometimes take a while for someone to pick up the phone bc they do tend to get busy during peak hours. Ryan’s offers a good selection of breakfast, lunch, pastries and drinks. I would advise to try the Mexican mocha. Duh. Or my classic, iced latte. For lunch, the TAB sandwich, turkey, avocado, bacon is the go-to. Cmon, its bacon. With every lunch special you get a side: French fries or chips & salsa. Soup is offered as a side only during Winter. During the week on lunch hours it can sometimes take about 20 minutes for orders so calling an order in might be a good option. If this place had a drive thru, trust when I say I’d be here wayyyy too much. I already think I have a problem. Wait… No… I take that back. Coffee is your friend.

I still love Ryan Bros for whole/ground beans, but my most recent experience left me highly disappointed with their espresso beverages. I ordered a Mexican Mocha. What I received was flavorless(seriously, I couldn’t even taste the espresso, though I watched her pour it in the cup several minutes before she finished making the drink.) I was surprised, so much so that when I opened the cup and poured out the majority of the drink it was obvious that none of the flavoring had been put in — it was just espresso(that, as I mentioned, sat so long it was cold/stale) and a bunch of milk(due to the size I ordered.) I was so sad, because, well, I was only there on cheat day to get a super special treat. I’m still a fan, so I won’t take many stars away, but don’t bother ordering an espresso based beverage on a Saturday morning if the lighter haired girl is working, she can’t make them well.

Nice little, personable coffee shop. Their lunch specials(sandwich+soup or salad) are good. I’ve had two of their sandwiches buffalo chicken and turkey avocado and they were both delicious. Their tomato basil soup is quite tasty as well. Great for your coffee kick, they have a great selection.

I don’t have an office so I «Rent» space at Cafés. Normally I get some food and something to drink and stick around for a couple of hours and work. Ryan Bros is my home away from home. It’s in the heart of Barrio Logan which is being redeveloped nicely. Paula makes all of their muffins and specialty breads. She puts out an impressive selection daily depending on what moves her. She made fresh strawberry scones, «Because she wanted to do something with strawberries,» once that were incredible. I love the cranberry muffins and the breads, Zucchini, Carrot and the Mardi Gras bread that had a little of everything. The veggie breakfast burrito is one of my favorites. Its a large burrito filled with egg, cheese, spinach, bell pepper, onions, avocado they cut it in half so its easier to eat. The salsa they serve it with needs help.(You would think in Barrio Logan they would have good salsa.) They have croissant and bagel sandwiches if you’re not a burrito fan. The lunch menu is great as well. The TAB — Turkey, Avocado, Bacon. The tuna melt was really good very different but it soon became one of my favorites. BBQ Turkey is good and so is the burger even though I would not come just for the burger. The coffee is roasted on location and it’s magnificent. They have some interesting names that take a while to get use to. Espresso Gold is rich and smooth and Cowboy Coffee is just that,(This coffee is not intended for prissy girls, or want to be coffee drinkers. It’s for men and women who drive trucks wield power tools and use duct tape instead of bandages.) The also have great Chi Late and an extensive tea menu. Service is fantastic!!! Really nice people, who, you can tell, love what they do. Brian and Sam always greet you with a smile; Emilio and Regan make great drinks. The only down side; parking. Also this place does not have many places to plug in, so if you plan on staying for a while charge your laptop ahead of time. Oh yea and the salsa.

This is definitely a favorite spot for me, I just wish there were more around town. The coffee and teas here are the best in San Diego, hands down!!! My favorites are the Vanilla Latte and the English Breakfast Tea Latte(they house make their own vanilla powder) which is to die for!!! This is definitely a spot that will not disappoint. Ps.I love their company slogan-«Life is too short to be bitter»

My absolute favorite spot for coffee tea and hot chocolate. Whether it’s on my way to work or en route for a bike venture, this is an absolute stop every time. The ambiance has a nice feel to it that fits Barrio Logan. And don’t sleep on the farmers breakfast croissant and Mexican hot chocolate — they fire! Sometimes they have shows like funk and poetry after store hours which are always nice to check out. Speaking of store hours, the place is only open until 5pm so plan accordingly. I’d be cranking out hours of studying here if they were open later, hence the one star missing. But all in all you get great good, amazing drinks and bomb food.

Parking can be a bit tough at Ryan Bros, but once you’re inside it’s really easy to settle in and get comfortable. There is a lot of floor space with couches, chairs, coffee tables and belly bars with plenty of access to power if you’d like to get some work done on your computer like I do. Don’t waste any time and work your way all the way to the back counter where I’ve rarely encountered much of a line later in the day — this is where you’ll place your order. I’m a total creature of habit when it comes to Ryan Bros and always order the«TAB» sandwich and an iced coffee. If I’m really feeling frisky I’ll order one of the Mexican Coca-Colas served cold in a glass bottle… so good! As I mentioned before, parking kind of sucks but that is the only real downside to coming here for coffee, lunch or to study. Great things are happening in this neighborhood and I can’t help but think that Ryan Bros has played a big role in that transformation — great job!

Looking for place with delicious pourover coffee and a good selection of craft beers? Ryan Bros is the spot to hit up! What’s better than getting your java fix and a nice glass hoppy goodness all in one place?! This place has got plenty of seating and it’s not too loud so you can jump right into productivity while you sip on that cuppa joe! They roast their own coffee beans just like the other popular cafés in Barrio Logan(Moto & Virtuoso), so you’ll taste the freshness of the beans in every drink. Grab yourself a cup of their dark roast(Cowboy) and you’ll be enjoying the rich flavors and aroma! The food here isn’t too bad. Grab yourself a muffin to complement your cup of coffee and you’ll be good to go as you grind away on your computer!
