Great fish tacos. You can get them with flour tortillas and lettuce rather than corn and cabbage but the original is great on it’s own. Chicken Burrito Especial — HUGE and filling. Order before you leave the house. They make everything fresh and get a little busy.

Although I purchased at this location, this review is for ALL Rubio’s. You’d be very unwise to eat at a Rubio’s these days. It seems they’ve «sold out». I have had good experiences w Rubio’s in the past, but the food quality has gone WAY down, and the value is now non-existent. Now, Rubio’s invites you to significantly overpay for poor-quality mexican food. No, gracias, Rubio’s. I could have made my meal for 1⁄10th what they charged me, and it would have tasted WAY better. Can we get a Café Rio in San Diego, please?! For the same price, you get a TON of delicious food! Puts Rubio’s to shame. I’m not saying I’d never eat here again, but it has earned a comfortable spot at the bottom of my list.

How in the world is Rubio’s still in business?!? I spent $ 22 on 3 street taco platters and ended up with the smallest amount of food I seriously couldn’t believe it. The value here is beyond low. It was so depressing to spend that much of my hard earned money and get so little. The quality is so so and the amount you get deserves zero stars.

This place really knows their stuff. Not only is the food delicious, but its also really fast. I love the baja burrito and the street tacos. I’ve been going to this place for a long time and never been disappointed. The prices are pretty good for what you get as well. The service is average. They even have these new brownies that are absolutely to die for. They are the best brownies I have ever tasted! I love this place and will definitely continue going.

First off let me start by saying I really do love rubios. Their fish tacos are addicting! I went the other day to get some fish tacos and what I saw was a bit disturbing. In the few minutes I was waiting to get my food I saw multiple food safety violations. First, neither cooks were wearing gloves. Which is ok if they are keeping their hands clean but they weren’t. I watched what looked like a manager pull two cooks to a spot in the back of the kitchen and offer them food. All 3 ate what was in the bag and NONE washed their hands after. Then one of the cooks answered the phone, passed it off and went back to making food… Without washing his hands. Then I watched then make my food… Awesome. I think some of your employees could use a review about food safety.

I finally went here when it wasn’t a Tuesday for the fish taco deal. I tried the grilled gourmet taco with shrimp plate. It has shrimp, avocado, red tomatillo sauce, chipotle sauce and bacon! This taco slightly reminds me of the surf and turf taco at Oscars in PB. The plate includes chips and a side of beans. If you’re getting fish tacos try them without the red sauce and ask for white sauce on the side! Or just ask for white sauce in general. Good even with chips. This location is clean and not as busy as other locations. Plenty of seating inside.

Enjoy coming here. Food and service is always good. I love the salsa verde shrimp tacos. Tried the California bowl with shrimp and salsa verde today and really liked it. Husband usually gets the California bowl with salmon or mahi mahi. Kids like the quesadilla with apple sauce and churro.

Located in the Haggen’s shopping center(formerly Albertson’s) off the 56/Camino Del Sur next to Pizza Rev, it’s a decent option for«fast food». I like their salsa bar and the fact that it’s not overly salty. Clean and friendly, but their food is a bit pricey(it’s like sit down restaurant pricing). Personally, I like Rubios better than chipotle, which is way too salty. TIP: join their birthday club to get a free meal for your birthday week/week after. If getting two different priced meals, just ring up separately and use the birthday club for the more expensive meal and pay for the cheaper one ;) Bonus is that Studio Barre is there so if I do the afternoon class and need a place for a quick bite, I can eat there or Pizza Rev.

The $ 1.50 fish tacos on Tuesdays are great, especially after a visit to their really nice salsa bar! For a chain I think the freshness and quality of their items is good for a chain restaurant. This location is roomy, clean and modern!

This is really close to my house so it’s super convenient. Let me say they do get busy and it does get messy the tables are usually dirty. But I love their food it’s always really good! You can call ahead and take it home. Everything on the menu is perfect. They cooks know what their doing. Food comes out pretty quick it’s all cooked fresh and yummy and I love it. The salsa bar is amazingggggg I love the salsa! Iove the white sauce also. I love rubios. I go here all the time

I love their food but occasionally the order gets messed up. However, the manager will comp your meal and the next one to keep you happy.

I love me some Rubio’s!!! This location is particularly amazing. It’s new, clean, and spacious. The young gentleman working at the counter was one of the most friendly people that I have ever come across. Rubio’s always has great deals, especially with sangria Sunday and taco Tuesday.

Love rubios! Fast, fresh, and delicious. I love their chipotle chicken salad(I always substitute mahi mahi for the chicken) and the original fish tacos. You can never go wrong at rubios! Must try for San Diego visitors :)

Their best item is their battered fish. I like it in their tacos or their burritos! It’s just a great valence of the ingredients including the lettuce, sauce and beans. It also gets 4 stars for having a free complimentary meal on your birthday. I love that rubios is not only good quality but it is accessible which makes it more appealing.

Good location(right off 56 freeway), friendly service, lots of parking(this location is in the large shopping plaza), close to work — its a win in my book. Rubio’s food has been always consistent, i really liked the addition of fresh salads and soup combos. Chicken tortilla soup is very flavorful and hearty, definitely give it a try. What i love the most about Rubio’s, even though it’s considered a fast food chain restaurant, you can choose to eat healthy, the fish can be grilled, the burrito can be done«naked» aka in a bowl(no tortilla), or as i mentioned, you can go with a great fresh salad.

The food is great and customer service is very friendly. The only annoying thing is that since it’s right by a high school, sometimes the line gets pretty long with students. Not complaining, but it’s good to avoid peak hours, otherwise the wait time for food can get kind of long.

For a Rubio’s it’s okay. Kind of pricey if you get a meal. A little over $ 10 for two tacos, beans and rice and if you get a drink, well it’s a bit more. Service is good and they keep the restaurant pretty clean. If I want to be filled and not pay a lot I’ll go to Cotija’s in PQ.
