Best donuts in San Diego hands down. If you are looking for«gourmet» 3 $ donuts then this is not for you, but if you are looking for the rich, sinful, traditional mom-and-pop donut experience then definitely check them out. The donuts are always fresh; I’ve bought some and even three days later they are still really good. The owners and their son are super friendly and will fill custom orders. The yeast donut filled with whipped cream is amazing(the best donut I’ve ever had) and their blueberry old-fashioned is as well. A hidden treasure in RB. Their prices also can’t be beat.

Small Mom & Pop donut shop. The owner is always friendly and the prices are good. They have a good variety of flavors and always have what I like.

Great donuts, I especially love all the options for donut holes.(Powdered, glazed, sprinkles, etc.) but a must have is the jalapeño cheese and ham croissant! Check this place out great prices, great donuts and the owners are really nice. They remembered my usual order and I haven’t been there in months!

First time here and last time. This place way far from the donuts definition. I came here 9 am the donuts was old greasey disgusting, the coffee warm not hot. Do your self a favor and stay away.

The donuts are ok but on the greasy side. The customer service is terrible. When I spoke to the owner about a donut I bought that was stale she proceeded to tell me I was the only customer who complained and totally dismissed me. I was a regular customer… NOT anymore.

I love donuts… The employees at RB donuts are always nice, but the donuts always taste overcooked and oily. It makes me wonder if they don’t change their oil enough… I wish it weren’t the case because this is the closest donut shop to my house. If I’m going to eat the calories then it’s worth a little further drive(to somewhere else)…

I love the service! The price is great. The owner was very friendly, however, the donuts didn’t taste fresh. I’ve had better donuts so I’ll give this donut shop a 3.

Came here a few days ago to bring a dozen donuts to my co-workers. I thought the cost of a dozen donuts was pretty reasonable, but the selection wasn’t as extensive as some of the other places around. There was nothing in the way of gourmet flavors, just the generic flavors that meet the sugar/bread ratio to satisfy the urge. Buttermilk, glazed, maple, chocolate, cherry, some with sprinkles, check… I’d imagine that the person who helped me was one of the owners; she was friendly and helpful. She greeted me upon entry and thanked me for coming in after ringing me up. So, for the two star review… What disappointed me most is that the donuts did not taste fresh; they tasted like day-old donuts. If I’d gotten fresh donuts, they’d get a better score in my book… It’s not that I often I indulge in donuts, so I’m more inclined to look elsewhere for that AM sugar fix that’s worth the calories.

This place has an OK selection. My biggest complaint is the donuts are always so oily. You can just taste the oil when you bite into them. I actually prefer the donuts from the nearby Albertsons over this place.

The donuts were SO greasy! They also gave us a couple donuts that were not fresh and seemed a day or two old. I wouldn’t come here again!

Service was quick, price was good. However, the old-fashioned do-nut I ordered didn’t seem freshly-made. Kind of crispy in a way that made me think it was day old. But I will give RB Donut a second chance and try it again soon! Stand by, local do-nut aficionado!

Great donuts here with lots of options. They have a blueberry cake donut(like an old fashion) which I usually can’t find other places. Good coffee as well. The younger guy working here was very polite and personable. He seemed to know all there regulars by name. I’ll be coming back here whenever I get a craving for donuts!

I have been going here for a couple of years now. The staff is always very friendly. The price is very reasonable. I love donuts and their donuts are very good. They accept credit cards now as well which is nice. If you live in RB, this is the donut place to go to

I’m not big on sweets, but when it comes to donuts I can’t help myself, and when it comes to RB donuts, I really can’t help myself. Everything is so scrumptious! The food it always fresh and if you really want your money’s worth, get the pink frosted cake donut! Plus the family that runs the place are so nice and accommodating!

If you’re late: bring donuts. It’s a rule in the workplace. How bout, just bring donuts? This quaint little joint is run by the happiest little Cantonese couple. They’ve been married for decades and give me wisdom and insight on life and love. For under $ 10, if you arrive early, you get a great selection of all the favorites for your dozen. If you don’t want a dozen, just kick back at one of the tables with your french cruler. I come here when I’m feelin good on a random friday and stoke out the office. They can’t resist.

Donut or doughnut? We are going with donut in this one because that is how they spell it in their name. I will try to ignore the red dotted lines under«donut» everytime i use it. I grew up in Rancho Bernardo, and RB Donuts is an institution. The morning after keg parties, homecomings or before going to the beach for the day RBD has always been fresh and the owners effortlessly friendly. I’m a straight up glazed donut guy. I don’t need the frostings and the jelly filled, or the sprinkles but they have them here — holy crap do they! A friend of mine is fan of the«old fashioned» glazed and she swears that the old fashioned donuts at RB Donuts are the best she’s ever had. It won’t years before they start remembering you, and in fact they will most likely be calling you by your name and remembering your usual order in just a couple of visits. Look, Krispy Kreme has had their scientists mastermind the ultimate process to develop what they think is the perfect donut. Sometimes you don’t want a product developed by science and focus groups and you want a simple round piece of dough crafted by loving and experienced hands who know what their customers want. This is what RB Donuts does well. It’s cash only, so make sure you bring your paper and silver, but you won’t need too much of it since the prices are affordable and way worth every cent. You can take your order to go, but they have plenty of tables where you can sit and bask in the sugary goodness. You will also notice slews of regulars that have been coming here for what looks like 100 years… hey, it is Rancho Bernardo. Whenever I get back to RB, the donuts at RB Donuts are my comfort food. Sometimes when I was up too early on the weekend, I’d skip the coffee, go with the milk, and just let the donuts take me into a nice late morning nap… or early happy hour.

Jalapeño Ham and Cheese Croissant. Just wondering, have you ever had Salmon in Puff Pastry(Salmon En Croute)? Executed property you have a great dish. Unfortunately, when I try it at home sometimes the Puff Pastry is too thick in some areas. While a small bite of this very rich gooey dough is decadent, you’d barf if you ate a big piece of it. Okay, now picture a large croissant as rich, buttery, and chewy like that. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. Also, the Ham and cheese was rolled up like a cigar on the inside making the weight of the croissant unbalanced. — Donuts are cheaper here. — Where are the«sweets»? — Cash only I’ve also got three words for you.
