I have only been here for lunch, but it has been a very pleasant experience both times. I ordered the fish tacos which were very good although I did not care for the salad it came with. I came here with a large group the second time and out of all the plates we ordered, the burger and fries were the best! The burger patty itself was bigger then the bun it was served on. Looked delicious! They even make their own ketchup. Great flavors, perfect plate sizes, menu variety, good ambience, unique décor, and excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend trying this place if you are in the area!

Great food, great drinks, great service, cool ambiance! Definitely try the beef tartare appetizer! I had chicken & my friend had the pork. Everything was cooked perfectly! Tried a few different drinks at the recommendation of our waiter & they were amazing! Highly recommend checking this place out!

We were planning to go to Ironside next door but the wait was too long so we just decided to check out this place. The restaurant was almost full but no wait(which made it a teeny bit suspicious), but it turned out great!!! Loved the food and loved the ambience. The two of us got greedy and ordered a lot, but everything was so delicious that there were no regrets! + Fusilli Bolognese($ 21.50): Fusilli(corkscrew shaped pasta) w/beef, pork, tomato, Rosemary, and Parmigiano-Reggiano + Pan Roasted Hangar Steak($ 27.95): Ramps, trumpet mushrooms, artichokes, and bone marrow porcini sauce + Local Mussels & Fries($ 17.75): mussels in a pot cooked in white wine, garlic, bay leaf, and aioli ***TIP*** Ask for window seating if you can! It’s right in the middle of the busyness of India St.(Little Italy), so it’s nice to be able to see the lights and the people through the window

Wow, what an amazing dining experience !!! You must try this place !!! I went here last night for my birthday and I could have asked for a better dinner. We started off at the bar with Ramon and he set the tone for the whole night. He was so attentive, and he went out of his way to make some delicious cock tails and some great conversation. Once we were seated Kim was server. I was so impressed with her knowledge of the menu. She suggested the beer tar tar and it was delicious. Such a good fresh flavor! As far as our dinner goes I got the pasta, my Boyfriend got the half chicken, both dishes were amazing. The quality and freshness of the food was top notch. And the chicken was so tender and full of flavor . We ended ended the meal with the brownie Sunday(at this point I was beyond full), but it was seriously divine . Over all the staff here is what helped make this dining experience so perfect. Ramon and Kim went out of their way to make me feel special on my birthday! I will be back most defiantly !! Side note — there was an old grumpy couple next to us, and one of them wasn’t happy with their food. The general manager came out and handled the matter personally and came up to the table multiple times to ensure that their dining experience was amazing and I’m pretty sure he even gave them a free desert on the house .Wow, yet another example of how the staff here is top notch! This did not go unnoticed !

If you’re in Little Italy, wander upstairs to this gem and treat your tummy to some delicious locally sourced food. I came here with some friends on a late Sunday morning and amazingly there was no wait. It’s a beautiful thing when you can wake up, be lazy and not have to wait for food. The restaurant was brightly lit by the sun coming in and the windows were cracked open so a cool breeze flowed through. It made for the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing brunch. As we sat there waiting for our server and sipping on cucumber water, they brought us a complimentary bowl of fresh fruit for having to wait. It was a nice gesture and a sweet start to our meal. I’m usually a savory person, but I went with their Banana Pancake($ 13.50). It was one large pancake served with greek yogurt, bananas and honey orange blossom syrup. It was warm and fluffy, but somewhat on the dry side. It would’ve been nice if they served the syrup on the side. I probably wouldn’t get it again. But I tried my friend’s chilaquiles and they were delicious. It’s a slightly spicy dish but very tasty. Their menus are seasonal, so you know you’re getting fresh food. Parking can be difficult in this area, but you should try coming here.

Happy hour, just do it! The only thing better than their amazing cocktails are their amazing happy hour prices. We ordered an appetizer just to get our palates going. We went with the meatballs… only gripe, there were three… why ONLY three? I feel meatballs need to come in even numbers, no? They were good… but again, only three left me longing for just one more! No one wants to split a meatball. For da dranks, I ordered the Comfort Blanket. It was an amazing Bourbon and citrus concoction that I would recommend for someone that likes a good Bourbon cocktail. The hubs ordered the Yes Please, which is a smooth cocktail that caters to the coffee lover. Our other dranks were the Rhumbaba, a sweet and a wee bit thicker drank that screams tropical, and the Flavor Bible, which was very tropical with pineapple flavors. The atmosphere is fun and if you get there early during a weekday, snagging a bar seat is easy peasy.

On a recent Saturday morning, we stumbled through the art fair and onto this 2nd floor gem. It was busy but we got right in. There is seating that overlooks the street — which is the best for people watching and enjoying the sites from above. Our server was friendly and steered us towards his two favorite items on the menu: the smoked salmon and the Chilaquiles. They were both outstanding. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked eggs, and just the right amount of food overall. We found ourselves trading bites back and forth because we couldn’t decide who ordered the best dish. The salmon is a little lighter with some greens, and the Chilaquiles are divine. Pulled pork, two eggs, cilantro and sliced avocado on the side — the best blend of flavors and spice. So far, my favorite Chilaquiles in SD… but I will keep searching.

Saturday 03.26.16 @ 4:30pm Happy Hour 3−6pm everyday. Round 1. PK Tots & Tarragon Dip w. Fall Brewing — Plenty For All Pilsner Round 2. Ginger Soy Chicken Wings w. Thorn Street Children of The Thorn Happy Wheat Ale The winner of this Happy Hour combination battle goes to Round 1 — PK Tots & Tarragon Dip Breaded, fried, crispy, golden & delicious. Light at the same time and not greasy. The real surprise about these tots is the filling. A creamy and delicious interior of fontina cheese and polenta. The crunchy & crispy exterior and creamy & flavorful interior is definitely a winning combination. Washed down with Fall Brewing — Plenty for all Pilsner — Served in a pint glass, golden and with a decent head that sticks around to the final sip. This German style Pilsner does a great job of cleaning your pallet in between bites. Crisp and easy to consume.

We headed over to Prepkitchen on an early Sunday evening to have a couple of drinks and share an appetizer after reading that they were voted by Zagat for being the best local organic spot, and best restaurant. Prepkitchen is the perfect place for a date or just hanging out with your friends. 3 – 6 Happy Hour daily… Yes please! I had my go to glass of Chardonnay for $ 5.00, and he had the Stolis straight, we shared the hamburger which comes with lettuce, bacon and egg, also includes fries. Great service, and drinks, good food!

good experience! It was American food based. First of all the cocktails were very tasty. I had a «Horse Buggy» which consisted of vodka, ginger beer & fresh lemon Juice, very refreshing! The drink menu had a good cocktail variety. Sangria options as well. Ok Food, I had Mary’s Pan Roasted Chicken. It was half a chicken(breast & thigh) slow cooked over 24 hours and then baked. Seriously one of the best chicken meals I’ve had. It was served over spinach & sweet potatoes. My friend had The smoked Brisket which came over Mash potatoes and had 3 onion rings which looked good. I realized all of the wait staff were males which was pretty cool. The hostess was friendly upon our arrival and when the waiter realized we were there he was friendly and very nice. We shared the charred octopus and potatoes as the appetizer. It was delicious. We looked at dessert menu for kicks and we saw we could purchase a 6pack of beers to the cooks, so we did to express our gratitude. One of the cooks came by our table to say thank you, he was so sweet. He Told us he and the guys will drink them during closing time. I would recommend it.

My review is for Happy Hour at the bar. I like that they offer HH on the weekends. Hard to find, especially in Little Italy. Drinks and appetizers are all priced at $ 5.55 at the bar and in the lounge area. Tables are communal so get cozy. This restaurant is so cute. I love the atmosphere. They’ve got tables set up in what feels like a library with cute décor everywhere. This would be a great date night spot. I loved the drink I tried. It was a vodka based drink with lemon and ginger beer. It was honestly one of the tastiest drinks I’ve had. So simple but so refreshing I was, however, really disappointed with our appetizer. We got the tots and they were NOT tater tots. They were made with tapioca balls and had a strange consistency. They should have advertised them as fried tapioca balls instead cause it was a huge surprise and not pleasant.

REVIEWCHANGE: Due to management responding to me so quickly for a 3 star and being genuine about their desire to make things better I will give them their star back. I always appreciate when management is concerned about each customer. Everything below is still accurate, just wanted to shout out to the owner. I would so go back for brunch. Portions are a little meek, but then again that could be because I am gigantor. We absolutely loved our brunch cocktails(spin on mimosas and micheladas). We had the ricotta doughnut holes. Here is a yummy tip. Ask for a lime or a lemon and squeeze it on the doughnut. BAM! Citrus love. Side of potato chips: Salt and crunch. YUM! Shrimp and Grits: the California flare and soupy grits were the only low point of the meal, Actually knocked it from 4 stars to 3. Chiliquilis: damn good. Crunch of outside chips, soft and gooey middle chips, very juicy chicken, and a perfect over easy egg to get that silky yolk. Service was good, talkative, funny, and always there on time. Ambiance: corner table looking over street was perfect. Get reservations: easier than standing awkwardly around stairs. ADDINGTOTHISREVIEW:

Where do you go when you want to be guaranteed a solid meal? Prepkitchen. If you want to get a table on a Saturday night, I suggest making reservations(at least) a few days in advance. If you are a last minute planner, try calling in on Saturday morning to check for cancellations. When we arrived for our 6:30 pm reservation, we overheard that the walk-in wait was 2 hours! The menu at Prepkitchen changes frequently to match the season, which means that you can guarantee the freshness of the ingredients. They will always have a few pasta dishes, a chicken dish, and some sort of seafood. The preparation will depend on what is available at the time. This is nice, because no matter how often you come, there will be something a little different. On our recent visit, the entire menu sounded amazing. Our server, Max, described every dish with so much enthusiasm that we thought about ordering one of everything. We ended up with the charred octopus, pork belly, stuffed dates, Mary’s chicken, smoked brisket, pork cheek, and butternut squash dumplings. Everything was fantastic, but the star of the show was the pork cheek. If you ever see that on the menu, do not hesitate. The atmosphere here in the evening is fantastic. It is good for both larger groups, and intimate dates. Prepkitchen truly is a great choice for any occasion.

The host was confused as to how to tell how long the wait was, saying 5 minutes, then consulting with a hostess who simply told him how to figure it out, informing him it was actually 20 minutes. 20 minutes would absolutely be a fine wait on Sunday at noon, but that 15 minute change made my stomach growl. In the meantime, we got some mimosas. The bartender was not sure of the price of a bottle of champagne nor the correct number of drinks that the bottle possessed, but he was charming and great otherwise. A bottle special would have been nice, but he made up for it with nice pours and a smile. We got the donut holes to begin. The reviews on here suggested they were heavenly, but they were just above average. I can’t knock having donut holes on a menu much though. I ordered the chilaquiles assuming it would be decent, but it was surprisingly delicious. Living in San Diego, chilaquiles is like a cheeseburger, so it can be all over the board. This one is up there with the best I’ve ever had. They could have refilled my coffee more often, but thankfully it was Lavazza, which isn’t too common on the West Coast. The food far outdid the service and that’s what really matters. I’ll be back.

Where do I start? The noise level was VERY high and we seriously considered cancelling and going elsewhere, but decided to stay. Big mistake as the racket made it impossible to hear each other or the waitress without shouting. We have been here many times and have found the food and ambiance to our liking. All 3 of us had read the online menu and had decided what we wanted BUT the menu had changed and our shrimp dishes not on the menu. Two of us opted for the mussels which came with a milky sauce rather than the traditional garlic broth. The sauce was very off-putting about halfway through the dish. Neither of us finished them. My wife ordered yellow tail but didn’t seem too pleased with it so I tasted it to find it dry and over cooked, but too late to return it. Our 4th friend had a nice bolognese. The flat bread appetizer was as always delicious, but not enough to save the night. Our waitress tried her best to communicate with us, even squatting down to table level, to no avail. Maybe the staff should carry megaphones! We love their restaurants and may return for lunch, but the noise is a huge problem. We saw other diners suffering and trying to shout to each other only exacerbating the problem. I guess we are just not your type of diners!

Their signature mussel was not good at all. Very small portion of overcooked mussels in watery white soup. Mussels tasted like they came from a mass production line with a last step juice over. We also ordered grilled chicken and pumpkin dumplings. As a group of 3 with two girls, three entrees were barely enough to feed us. They ended costing ~70 $ anyway. I feel it was not worth it. I only went there because my friend recommended the place and its signature mussels. I don’t think I’ll go back again.

I really like Prepkitchen. I’ve had great experiences with all of the Whisknladle hospitality group restaurants. The brunch was fantastic. I remember enjoying the chilaquiles and a few of the drinks, including a spicy one. A few years later, we stopped by for dinner and really enjoyed the mussels. The broth is thick and creamy and sinful. We tried a key lime dessert and the chocolate budino. Yum.

I’m giving this place 3 stars because although my WNL burger was very good and cooked wonderfully, my husband’s Mary’s Half Chicken dish was under-cooked and he had to send it back to get it cooked more. I know there were lots of dishes to be made that night, but something as important as cooking chicken all the way left me a little wary. Luckily, he didn’t get sick! We came here for restaurant week and I’m still glad we reserved at this place and participated! It was a lot of fun, but very noisy too. Many other people were there as well so you could hear conversations left and right leaving you to talk pretty loudly. We also got a couple of appetizers: The Cutting Board — this was a pretty good deal. It had lots of meats and cheeses with some nuts and dried grapes and everyone at our table was pleased with it! ********BESTAPPETIZER******** Bacon Wrapped Dates — THESEWEREOUTOFTHISWORLD. If you ever come here, I recommend you order this appetizer. it will not disappoint. I was hesitant to try it just because I would never assume to mix these two foods together, but boy was I wrong! Dessert: I got the warm chocolate budino with espresso gelato. A bit heavy, but it satisfied my sweet tooth for the night!

Sadness. Been here many times when in town and enjoyed it, but a very off night, I hope it was an anomaly. While service and the people that work here are always top notch, the food left us lacking. One in the party had the trout which was over cooked and soggy, we shared some bacon wrapped figs, normally delicious, the bacon was so crisp and over cooked it was hard, and the cauliflower main, it was a disaster. This dish was either missing ingredients or assembled wrong. It was dry and the seeds on top had no flavor. I will come back next time I am in San Diego as this has been a place I have on my regular list, hope this was a one off.

Came here for restaurant week. They allowed you to order off the full menu, so you have a bigger selection than most other restaurant menus. It was $ 30 for 3 courses which ends up being a pretty good deal. Appetizers: Cutting board: I think this was the best thing we ordered. Someone explained what we’re all the items were on the board. It included much more than just meat and cheese. There were a lot of different flavors and textures from sweet to salty. I would definitely come back for happy hour just for the cutting board. I was already pretty full after eating this. Yellow tail something: I don’t remember what it was called but it was like a sashimi/poke kind of dish. It was light and refreshing. Main course: WNL burger: I didn’t think there was anything special about this burger. The meat was way too thick for my liking, although it did have a nice almost peppery flavor. I liked the egg on top. The fries were good. Fusilli bolognese: ordered this since it was pretty popular, but again nothing that special. I liked it for the fact that they make their own pasta, but to me it was almost like a hamburger helper. The cheese was too creamy and thick and overall the dish was too heavy for me. Dessert: Toffee pudding: this was pretty good. The toffee cake itself was ok but the sauce had a really good flavor. I liked the cream on top of the cake. Tasted light and fresh. Ice cream: got the three flavors: vanilla, chocolate and espresso which were perfect. It went well with the toffee cake. Ambiance: I love the location and décor of this place. It is located on the second floor which offers good views. I’m obsessed with places with nice lighting and they had quite a few interesting light fixtures. Good place for a date or girls night. Overall appetizers and dessert were good, but weren’t impressed with the main courses. Would come back for happy hour.

So, I made a reservation for a Thursday afternoon for my babe and I, because we have heard only good things from our friends about this place, and wow were they right! Walking into the entrance you are automatically captured by the modernism of the place and the lovely artwork as you go up the stairs. Once you are on the second floor, you then see a lovely view of little Italy downtown through huge glass windows across the restaurant and lovely crafted medium sized bar. Right when I got there a host asks for my name and the time my reservation was at, and she seats me right away(It wasn’t very busy though) to the corner where the view was even better. As my babe and I start looking through our menus, a waitress comes to our table not even 5 minutes after and asks what we would like to drink, we order water and she told us she would give us more time for our food. The menu was a wide selection of American, Italian and Mediterranean food that all looked uniquely good. 10 minutes later she comes back with our water in a glass jar, and we first order a bacon Brussel sprout flatbread for our appetizer to share. I then order a Bolognese pasta dish and my babe some mussels and fries. During the wait time which was only about 10 minutes it was a very nice view and the place was decorated beautifully. First came out the flatbread, it was very good and different, I really enjoyed how the bacon and Brussel sprouts were crisp but the bread itself wasn’t burnt. After another 10 minute into the flatbread the our main entrees then come not only with a beautiful presentation, but BOY did it smell great too! Bothe dishes were hot and steamy so it made it that much more exciting to eat. The Bolognese pasta I ordered, was $ 20 but wow one of the best pastas I have ever had! Disregarding the fact that it’s not even a full Italian place, the sauce was in every flavor correct, and pasta cooked perfectly and the meat tender and juicy. As for My babes mussels, they were soft & chewy but not soggy and covered in this yummy white wine sauce that was to die for, the garlic parsley fries were excellent and went with the sauce for dipping as well! Also portions were large but also classy and not messy at all. Overall the place and food were totally eye catching and delicious. I believe this restaurant is a great experience for anyone who wants to try something different and good quality food without the high prices. This place does not only have awesome service and a great view but I do think it’s an underrated restaurant that deserves to be checked out!

This really has to be one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. Here is the strategy. Step one: MAKERESERVATION, not having one is a mistake. Step two: Order bottle of wine to share Step three: Order charcuterie to share Step four: Pick a salad to share(we like the seasonal one, basically whatever thats not Ceaser) Step five: Order a pasta dish to share(BOLOGNESE Please) Trust, me, this method is tried and true.

We got the following recommendations from the server, some of which we followed. For appetizers, he recommended the pork belly, the bacon wrapped dates, and the beef tartare. For entrees, he recommended the bolognese, the burger, and the roasted chicken. Here’s what we ended up getting: (1) As an appetizer, we got the mussels and fries(which is in the entrees section of the menu). Even though this is actually an entrée, it functioned well as an appetizer. Mussels and fries are very easy to share. They were both delicious, and I would highly recommend getting this dish. However, I do think this is probably not enough for an entrée. If I had gotten it as an entrée, I probably wouldn’t have been full. However, if you are sharing with someone else, you can probably split this with a heavier dish for a meal that feels more comfortable after it’s done. Some of the entrees were definitely heavier than others. (2) Burger: At $ 20, this burger came with bacon, egg, gruyère cheese, and caramelized onions. Was it worth $ 20? My friends who had it said it was not, but that it was good. Therefore, I think if you come here, you should try some of the other dishes over the burger. Tip: If you’re sharing the burger with someone, you can tell them to split it for you. They were very nice and might do this for you too. They split the burger in two for my friends, and also gave them TWICE the amount of fries. (3) Hangar Steak & Frites: My boyfriend got this dish. I sampled some of his steak and fries and it was quite good. The steak was flavored well and cooked well. The fries were seasoned deliciously(just like the fries that come with the mussels and the burger). I’d say you couldn’t really go wrong with this dish. (4) Roasted Chicken: This dish was highly recommended by the server. My friend got it and she loved it. She has pretty good taste in food and since she enjoyed it, this probably was some pretty good chicken. (5) Fusili Bolognese: This dish was also highly recommended by the server and I got it as my entrée. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the dish came smothered with fluffy grated parmiggiano reggiano cheese to mix together with the pasta and sauce. I really enjoyed this dish, except for one thing. This is quite a generous portion, but it was very good — so I ended up eating up all of it. And ended up being very uncomfortably full since it’s so filling with the cheese and the amount of pasta they give. I’d recommend sharing this with someone so you can get a taste of two things on the menu. Maybe with the mussels and fries if it’s just you and other person. I haven’t been to San Diego very much, but this is one of the highest rated places in the area. I thought that some of the dishes were quite good. However, I’m generally more of a hole in the wall person and this place has a more trendy vibe. I would come back for those mussels and fries though!

I came here for a holiday lunch party and lovedddd it! I got the tacos, soup and salad. The taco was amazing! Flavorful and very spicy. The soup was perfect as well. huge portions for just 15 $ My only problem was that the salad was so salty it was inedible. Other than that, I would definitely return for lunch and maybe to try dinner!

Prepkitchen Little Italy is an unassuming restaurant on the second floor. My fiancé and I almost missed it. The menu is full of good food and good views. Because the restaurant is on the second story it’s a great view of Little Italy and with the wonderful San Diego weather all of the windows were open. Because we were on the coast, I had to go with the fish for dinner. It did not disappoint. I would definitely come back for dinner and also drinks & apps. The restaurant has some great couch/lounge areas near the window

After reading all the 4& the few 5 star ratings, I certainly expected more than we received. Four of us dined here this Sunday night, and were totally unimpressed. Service on a slow night with the restaurant barely half full was mediocre at best. Food was good, but not overwhelming so. The steamed mussels was entirely too milky; served with fries @$ 18.50. Bowl of chicken soup was too thin @ $ 9. Beef tartare was flavorful, $ 14.95. Braised octopus was spicy and satisfying, $ 16.25. Beet salad, $ 13.75, was a good compliment. White bean salad, was a lot of thick toasted bread, $ 12.95, though it did well with the Burrata, $ 18.50. The Stolpman red blend(mostly syrah) wine, $ 58, was enjoyed by all. Uninspiring dining experience, though all the staff was pleasant.

I’ve visited Prep Kitchen a few times in the past but had not visited recently. Decided to check them out for HH last Friday and enjoy their great HH. Located in the heart of Little Italy you simply can’t go wrong. $ 5 drinks(sangrias, beer, wine, cocktails) and various HH apps. We ordered the red sangrias which are among the best I’ve had! Not too sweet, and not to weak :) truly the perfect combo of wine, fruit, ice, and spritzers yummy We also had the papas bravas which were great– a bit spicier than we are used to but delicious. We sat at the bar and received great service the entire time– the bartender was great and made sure to put in our last order of drinks before the end of HH :) we will be back!

Great restaurant to kick off Restaurant Week! It’s located upstairs on top of Yogurtland & Footwear Etc. The hostess greeted us & seated us right away, not many people at 5pm on a Sunday. It got busy towards the end of our meals though. Joe was our server & informed us that their entire menu was available for the RW price of $ 35. WHAT.A. STEAL! Loved that option. I got the beef tartare while my parents both got the octopus & sis got the flat bread for apps. Octopus was the best, the sauce they used was yummy! I liked my app next, the garlic bread it came with was bomb! The flat bread was good, too, the cheese stole the show for that dish. Next up are the entrees: mom & sis got the steak, which came with fries & the sauce it came with was divine. Don’t exactly know what was in it, but it complimented the steak very well. I think that steak was probably a 8oz cut up. Very filling. I ordered the Fusili Bolognese. I’ve never had bolognese before so I can’t compare it to anything, but it was awesome! The flavors blended so well together. Meat, cheese & pasta can never do you wrong. That plate was big enough to share. Pops got the seared ahi tuna. He said it was really good too & got full off of it. He opted to give the staff a round of beers for doing such a good job with our food. Yes, that’s part of their dessert menu & we were thanked by a couple of the staff members. It was a cool experience. We ordered the bundino, it was cake & espresso gelato with whipped cream. Amazinggg! That coffee flavored gelato topped it off. Mom got the cocount tres leches, but it was too sour for my taste. They do add a 20% gratuity to the bill so just be aware of that. Overall, PrepKitchen was a great choice to start my RW adventures. Our experience at PrepKitchen was top-notch. Awesome staff, awesome food! Recommended restaurant for sure!

will tell you: «When eating out in other restaurants, chefs say they avoid pasta and chicken. Why? These dishes are often the most overpriced(and least interesting) on the menu. Said one chef, ‘I won’t pay $ 24 for half a chicken breast.’ Said another, ‘I want something I can’t make myself.’» I say: Take that rule and shove it! On my most recent trip to PK, my partner in crime and I ordered the bolognese and guess what else? The chicken, suckas! Both delicious and both put that rule to shame. The bolognese was delicious and exactly what I was looking for after(unintentionally) depriving myself of food all day long. Prepared with beef, pork, tomato, rosemary and parmigiano-reggiano, it was balanced, filling and simply plated — I loved it! The chicken. Ohhhhhh, the chicken. Crispy pan-fried skin and served with mashed potatoes, summer squash, roasted bell peppers and chicken jus, this is my old faithful when it comes to, Prepkitchen. I have a hunch that it will never leave the menu and for great reason, it’s one of the best chicken dishes that I’ve ever had! Both dishes ring in at $ 19.50 and $ 25.50 respectively.

3.5– Came here before sunset and the open windows provided some great lighting and a nice open feel for the restaurant layout. Our sever was so lovely, friendly and attentive although she did hype the drinks up quite a bit! She talked up the mixologists and made their cocktails sound so wonderful so I was very excited. I got the Horse & Buggy since it sounded like their version of a Moscow Mule but rather than the nice bubbly bite that comes from the ginger beer, a tasted a diluted concoction of lime water with a hint of vodka. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? She brought us bread which looked like some great artisan carbs but turned out to be stale and overly floured. My expectations quietly declined until our Beef Tartare arrived. Dat yolk. Dose capers. Dem thick luscious slices of buttered toast– needless to say it was SO yummy and definitely my favorite dish of the evening. It was well seasoned, fresh and everything just worked so well together. The Fusilli was also pretty great with beefy robust flavor packed into every crevice of the pasta. The flatbread however, was. just as it is– a flat bread. LOL it was extremely thin and seriously lacking in flavor with dull tomatoes and tiny cheese pieces. I couldn’t put my finger on it and finally realized that it tasted exactly like bagel bites! haha I would be willing to come here again but with their specialized nature and limited menu, this is a hit-or-miss when it comes to certain dishes.
