Came here to have some snacks n drinks n got so lucky w the best waitress ever, Chelsea! She’s super on point. She’s the one making this place 5 stars and she’s hot! I’d write more but my phone is about to die… N I’d rather go back to enjoying my friends n our rad waitress. Get the nachos. They don’t suck.

When you come to have a cocktail with your wife and your belt breaks, you don’t expect to get your belt fixed. You need a pair of pliers?! I’ve got you. That is exceptional service!!! Thanks to the bar manager and staff! Unexpected for the bar manager to come and ask if I needed a pair of pliers and to take my belt to the back and fix it. Thank goodness otherwise my pants would have fallen off!

Ambiance here is really cool but I don’t believe I will come here again. The prices for the beers are not listed on the menus but I ordered a Newcastle pint which I am glad I didn’t order two of. The Newcastles pints were $ 7. Thats just too overpriced for such a standard beer. I also feel the beer selection was totally lacking. The only nice thing about the place was the ambiance.

I’m here now, I got a black n tan in a plastic cup, $ 7 wtf. This place really has no class. Food closed down at 6pm, I came for some fish n chips. Music so loud I can’t carry on a conversation with my friends. There are maybe 20 people here, I left and now having Italian across the street, service and more …

We went here to watch a Liverpool game. 8am kick-off and the pub opened at 7:30. Great atmosphere from the fan club. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Great choice of beer. The breakfast was good but the didn’t have a Full English on the menu, which was a bit disappointing. While the interior doesn’t look like an English country pub,(neither do most English pubs) it certainly had an English pub feel and is most definitely looked nothing like a typical US sports bar. This place has character. We actually changed our travel dates to San Diego in order to be there for the Liverpool game and I’m sure we’ll time our next trip to coincide with another game.

One of my alltime favorite San Diego spots. Gotta love waking up in the morning and watching Liverpool with a pint. It’s cool to see the local LFC fan club watching the matches there these days. Never would’ve thought I’d see the day where Americans are so passionate about soccer. Gotta love that. This is a great place for a pint and a meal if you feel hungry, and the only place to watch Liverpool FC in SD. YNWA

This used to be one of the only choices in town if you wanted to watch an early morning EPL game. Times have changed and there are a ton of other, better options. The Princess Pub is still living off that old glory — it needs to upgrade and hasn’t. I’m not paying a cover any more to watch a game that can be seen in most of the bars in town, or on my laptop, for that matter. The food is still and always has been Not Very Good. The service is usually a bright spot, but not enough to over come the general dirtiness of the bar and the high drink and food prices.

Food is good. The cigar and cigarette smoke pouring in all night isn’t. Probably breaking some kind of health code. The servers are sweet though.

A straight dump. Absolutely the worst chicken Caesar salad in the world. Smelled rotten. Terrible nachos too. How can you mess up nachos? A «pub» with a garbage selection of beer. I didn’t even want to stay long enough to argue about the tab.

The food here is always so good. I’ve had really authentic pozolé. Fish and chips. Great BLT. Cottage Pie(shepards pie with need instead of lamb). Fresh crispy garden salads. Amazing pub fries(like super thick in and out fries). Giant onion rings. Burger with fried egg. Batter dipped chicken tenders slightly spicy. Buffalo wings. All very good. You can tell quality matters here. Bloody Mary’s. Did I mention those? Perfect favors. With slices of crispy thick bacon in them on the weekends. Liverpool Football Club San Diego Chapter clubhouse for every televised match regardless of the hour.

I keep forgetting to leave this review but I’ve been thinking about the food all week! Seriously one of the best lunches I’ve had! After seeing the stars on Unilocal I was a little weary but man am I glad we went! The Bloody Mary with bacon is not only pretty in presentation but freakin good! The fried pickles were not like your average pickle chips, they were spears that were fried. They came with a chipotle sauce and ranch. Such good comfort food! The poblano chicken sandwich… I’ve been craving it all week! I never finish an entire sandwich, this one, didn’t stand a chance! The juiciest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had and so full of flavor! I didn’t even offer a bite to anyone! I could eat that sandwich every day! The service, fantastic! I feel so bad because I can’t remember our servers name but she was awesome!(Told us a funny story about her husband waving a knife when he talks, hilarious!) she was so attentive, never let drinks get low and chased every napkin that blew away from us!(Sorry about that!) She knew about everything on the menu and did not break any promises when she said what were some of the best items! Love this place! Bar food that’s freaking awesome!

Lame! So many TV’s but they insult their own intelligence by saying they have preset channels, what is it with their brains that tell them that they only have to watch American football or baseball when they have so many TVs? Party of 25 went to Shakespeare instead. They do know how to respect costumers.

Oh my gracious, spare yourself and never go to this place. We have lived in Little Italy for three years and have been to Princess a handful of times. Every time we’ve gone, the experience has been mediocre at best, with the exception of our most recent visit which was just plain horrible. I can say with confidence that I will never go to Princess Pub again. On a weekend night, the pub usually closes at 1:00. Well on a recent evening, we got to the pub around 12:00 and ordered drinks. At 12:30 they made the last call and at 12:40 the manager proceeded to yell at each customer verbatim«We’re closing. Close you’re tab and get out.» Um I’m sorry, what? I mean literally yelling. Like an angry drunk man. It was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. And it wasn’t even 1:00 yet! Our group was about half way done with our drinks and we just left them because the environment was so hostile. There are so many amazing restaurants in Little Italy; don’t waste your time at Princess Pub.

Casual place with a good selection of traditional beers and bar food. So many bars downtown are trying to do the next trendy hipsterfilic thing… which is great. But sometimes, I just want to drink a pint on comfortable barstool and catch the game without wondering if I should grow a more facial hair.

This is just really tasty bar food to say the least. It is a fun atmosphere and the food really is good in my opinion. There are so many options on the menu that sound so appetizing that it always hard to choose so you may want to come more than once. I really haven’t had something that I did not enjoy. It’s just really great classic pub food! It is a great place to watch the game and grab a drink. It can get pretty busy being one of the few bars in Little Italy. I really think the only thing keeping the Princess Pub from 5 stars is that the service can be hit and miss. It gets a little spotty which can be a downer. But I say, all in all, for really tasty and hearty food, give this place a shot.

Was there only for the drinks, menu didn’t necessarily speak to me, but they had a really comprehensive list of beer on tap. Explore it, have fun with it. I had a couple glasses of their Boddingtons and I was very happy about it. Then had Guinness, which you can’t ever go wrong with. I had a good time sitting at the patio talking it out with my friend. That’s what this place offers, good beer and a chill atmosphere.

This place gets four stars for its beer selection, service, patio, nachos, and lack of wait time. While every other place in Little Italy had an hour or hour and a half wait time, this place was open and seated us right away. The lack of wait time wasn’t an indicator for poor service or food or drinks though! We ordered the Kilkenny Ale(which you can’t find in many places!) and nachos and the waitress even gave us a free Kilkenny towards the end of our stay! Decent place if you want to just sit on the patio, chat, and enjoy a beer or two.

We were strolling around Little Italy this past Saturday after spending some time at the Farmers Market. Since it was a gorgeous, sunny day, we decided to grab a drink in the area. And since we had the pups with us, the patio area of the pub seemed like a good idea. First of all, the patio area is a seat yourself kind of place. After about 5 minutes, we were able to flag down a server. I asked her if they had any drink specials and she curtly said no – then I proceeded to ask which beers they had on tap. She plopped open a menu and said that they were all listed on the menu. So much for friendly service. But again, it was a beautiful day and we wanted the pups to get some outdoor time and proceeded to order a round of Blue Moon. When our server brought our drinks out, I asked her for a food menu and then didn’t see her for another 20 minutes. When she finally came by with our menus, she stated«I totally forgot to bring these»… Greeeaaat. After looking at the menu, we decided to forgo the food order because the service was just so poor. Thankfully it took a lot less of time to pay our bill. Why two stars instead of one? Actually, I’d give it 1.5 stars since the server brought us a water bowl for the pups(although we had to ask for it) and when my friend forgot her sunglasses on the table, they held it for her until the next day. ps. The bathrooms were really gross :(UGH!

Went here after our initial attempt to go to Waterfront down the street was thwarted… due to a high number of patrons there that night. It was my first time actually eating here. The drinks are okay, but they do make a kick-arse Sazerac. Food portions are huge! Enough to share for sure. Cottage pie — like Shepherd’s pie; it was pretty good. Would have been better with scalloped potatoes, but they were out. Blue cheese mushroom appetizer — really yum! Blue cheese stuffing AND a side of blue cheese dressing to go with it. Housemade Cornish Pastrie — wasn’t really a fan of this. For some reason it tasted SOUR? Casual, cool atmosphere. a nice place to pop in for a quick drink or two on their sunny outside patio.

Very touristy, but at least not crowded to see the semi final between Brazil and the Netherlands. I just don’t like to pay cover to go to an overpriced pub to watch soccer, but since this was the chosen place by some friends that I really wanted to see, I decided to pay the $ 10 cover. I actually pay for me and another friends and oh, surprised, 2 bloody marys later, he got a bill of $ 30 and he paid and then looks like they never got the discount from the cover as advertised because, honestly, we don’t know where those $ 30 came from(my other friends paid their own bills of the food their ordered, separately). Well, this was our fault for not double-checking but I had the feeling of being ripped-off. Atmosphere was ok, but not great, as there was no passion in the audience(I think I was the most animated one there). Not what you would expect in a real British pub. Location in Little Italy is perfect, but since there are so many good Italian or other type of restaurants in the same street, not even bother to go there unless is just for a drink. The food my friends were eating was not very appetizing. I tasted some nachos and were just ok, and the fries were soggy. The fish taco was good and the only thing I really liked was the Bloody Mary.
