My nephew got a haircut from this place today. The guy that was cutting his hair was cutting too hard he was getting uncomfortable and kinda of tearing up. This is the second time that it happened. Don’t bring your kids to get a haircut here they dont know how to handle kids. The guy that cut his hair is usually sitting all the way at the back 2nd to the last chair.

Been coming here on and off for over 10 years. I live in Los Angeles, so coming down to visit family I now make it a point to make sure I get my haircut when I’m in town here. Of all the places I’ve gotten my haircut THESEGUYSKNOWHOWTODO A GREATHAIRCUT. When I choose to go to OTHER places I’m always unhappy. In fact, this last time I was unhappy with the haircut I got in Los Angeles from an expensive clip joint. So TODAY, I chose to go to PQ Barbershop to get my haircut correctly. By chance I always get the guy on the end near the back of the shop. He’s good, understands how the hair on your head lays, and cuts it appropriately. For the amount of money they charge it’s a really, REALLY good deal and I can’t be happier with my look every time I come out of there.

Picky with my hair. Been to 4 – 5 of the barbers(stylists) here. They all take their time. My new spot of choice.

This place is a joke. This is my third time trying this place out. I had a different barber every time and got crappy cuts from all three. I asked for a low fade comb over. First there wasn’t even a fade just a line around my head he didn’t even blend in the lines. I asked him to fix it and he give a high fade, definitely not what I wanted. Second he cuts the top way to short. Now I feel like I got a military high and tight haircut. For the next two weeks i have to wear a hat because I’m embarrassed with this stupid haircut. Third they raised the price again to 10.99. Not worth it. I think I learned my lesson now. Never coming back here. You guys been warned I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Don’t let the 4 ½ stars fool you. This place is terrible. Good luck.

Excellent service! I have two places that I go to and the only reason I wound pick PQ is because it’s about a 30 minute drive from my house. The other place I go to I’m more know and it’s only 15 minutes away from my house. The main reason why I’ll still make that drive to PQ is because you can’t beat their pricing. I pay $ 15 plus tip. The other place is $ 25 plus tip, so I loose gas but keep $ 10 going to PQ. They cut all kinds of hair curly, course, or thick. Love this place go see for yourself. P.s they’re super fast!

Shannon is absolutely amazing! I get my haircut from her every single time I get home from SF. Amazing attitude and an even more amazing line up.

This is my 2nd trial at PQ barbershop, the first one was not good but I decided to give it one more chance since it’s the closest one to my home and has high Unilocal rating. For this cut, the lady cut my ear just 10 seconds after I sat down, the cut is simply terrible and she has no clue on what how to make the front line more zig-zag or less tidy/neat, instead, she would trim your side even more when u ask for that. In short, gave this lame barbershop 2 chances, and it disappointed me twice in return. I will never go there again and hope y’all think twice before going there. #uncomfortable #disappointed #physical_pain

can’t really go wrong with this barbershop. they have enough barbers to get you taken care of. If you don’t have a specific barber you want, then you can get in and out in 20 minutes. Otherwise, you might be waiting up to an hour. The prices are pretty standard for a barber. Most I’ve seen are betwen $ 9-$ 11 and this falls right down the middle. I’ve never had any issues with really bad haircuts that i can’t grow out in a few weeks so I get here early in the morning about 9am and I’m in and out in 20 minutes.

I come here because they do a skin taper and fade very well. But when it comes to doing line(hard part), they always find a way to mess it up. I get a normal combover with a hard part and they will always cut it well, up until the hard part, then they always butcher it. Granted what I get is a little unique and different, every single time I’ve come they never understand what I want and I always leave angry. Other than doing lines, it’s a cheap barbershop at $ 10 for a cut. Tip for those who come here for hard part and line: BEVERYSPECIFICWITHWHATYOUWANTORELSETHEYWILLJUSTDOWHATTHEYWANTANDYOUWILLLEAVEMAD

This store does not rate anything goes greater than 2 stars. There is only one person working group there that can give a DECENT cut. I came in today because of the short distance to my home. Not only was the haircut bad but the lady had the nerve to give me attitude when paying. As I look into the mirror now I can see that her clippers missed quite few hairs on top. The clippers need to lubricated as well, they were not cutting my hair, I felt my hair being pulled out. Unsat.

I’ve been going here for over 5 years, and I get a haircut 3 – 4 times a month. Vu, the second barber from the door, is consistent and knows exactly how I like to get cut. If I’m pressed for time and Vu has a line, Shannon also does a great job with my hair. It’s almost like she studies how Vu cuts me up, and she can mimic it lol. I’m very pleased with my hair week after week and I can’t imagine getting cut elsewhere. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a good guys barber cut.

My husband has been looking everywhere for a good barber shop, even went into salons to find a good haircut. This is the only place he actually loves his hair, everytime. & as the wife who has to look at him everyday, I can say that I love this place just as much as he does. Thank you!

I’ve been to multiple barbershops for the boys and no one can cut their hair better than this place! They are always readily available and cut my boys hair exactly the way I want them! We seem to always get the girls to cut the boys hair but they are just as good as the men who cut hair as well! My boys also love the lollipops they get when they finish with their fresh new dos! I highly recommend going here!

The worse haircut I had for a long time. This was my first and last time to use this barber shop. The lady cut my hair, i asked her to cut a little more on the side and she just MESSED up big time. HORRIBLE hair cut. I could have done it better even though I am not a barber. Will never go back!

This place was amazing! My husband is really picky with his haircut and Shannon was just perfect. After one visit she even remembered how he wanted it cut. She’s the best! We moved from San Diego back to the Bay Area and no one will ever compare to her. She’s got great customer service & treated us like family. We miss her

Been coming here for a couple years now. Very happy with the results. Price is right at $ 10. They’re friendly and convenient. Usually pretty busy on weekends so expect a little wait at times.

I’ve been going here for about a year now, a regular cut is $ 10, which is very reasonable. If you don’t have a complicated hair style this place would be great. I’ve had $ 30 – 40 haircuts before in expensive salons where you get a wash, massage, blow dry, style, etc. but realized i don’t really need all that. these folks are pretty solid for a basic trim. I will continue going back every month. Pros: fast usually, no novices – they are pretty seasoned. Typical«barber shop feel» and people are friendly. Price. Location convenient to 56. No appointment needed. If you understand Vietnamese you will get to listen in on the chatter. Cons: maybe not ideal if you have complicated styles. A few times it was shorter than I had asked but maybe it was my own fault. If it is busy or you want a specific person, you might have to wait.

This is a great place for a quick haircut… unless you are waiting for Vu. It’s your typical barber shop, just all Vietnamese barbers. Everyone here is friendly. They have a few flat screen TV’s there to watch while you wait. Recommendations on barbers: Vu is the man! I’ve been seeing him for the last 3−4yrs. The thing is, lots of other customers see him too so be prepared to wait. If you don’t want to wait, Shannon is good too. She is the chair to the right of Vu’s. Also, if you play Clash of Clans Vu and the barber that wears the blue coat all the time are pretty knowledgeable at this game. I always talk to them about strategy. I mean, I don’t play it thaaaaat much. If you are looking for a new barber come check PQ Barber out. Bring cash, walk-ins only, parking is good. They have a big parking lot because of the Rite Aid next door. Oh, and they don’t do razor shaves. That’s the only downfall. I love me razor line-ups.
