Cut & Dry Barbershop

Jeff, very talented and amazing barber. Doesn’t even feel like a barbershop, feels more like a kick it spot! Very spacious and laid back. I would imagine how women feel when they get their hair done, is the same feeling I got when I got my haircut here!(: Keep up the good work brotha!

Ever since I moved to San Diego on July 2015, I started hunting for a barbershop. Went to the Marine base to get a cut and got jacked up. I immediately started looking for another place as soon as I left and found Primetime (where Jeof used to cut).
I saw one of his clients that he cut and decided to make an appointment with him for next time. Ever since he first cut my hair I was hooked. He always meets my expectations when I went to Primetime and I never was disappointed when I left.
As soon as he opened his new shop, I followed! I can’t even begin to explain the vibe that he has created at his new shop. As soon as you walk in, you immediately feel welcomed (unlike some barbershops that I have been to). Jeof has created an Empire that beats all other barbershops out there. Jeof is probably one of the most dedicated barbers I have ever met (I have been to a few in NYC when I lived there).
If you are looking for a quick, half ass, sloppy cut in 20 minutes don’t even think about coming! Jeof takes pride in what he does and puts his customers first. I highly recommend cut & dry for anyone who is looking to just relax and have a cold drink while Jeof does his thing! TRUST ME, you won’t be disappointed when you leave! Great barber shop! I like the fact you can just come here relax and chill with a beer in hand while having a good conversation as you get cut. You will pay more than a regular barber shop (my definition of regular barber shop is from my experiences. loud, crowded, dirty) but this is no regular barber shop. Very clean with reggae playing in the background and a selection of beer!
So if you want a cheap quick half-​ass hair cut then this place is NOT for you. If you want to take a nice break from the stress of life and have a beer while getting a haircut… make every effort to make an appointment (which you can do online on their site). I highly recommend this place.

Ever since I moved to Mira Mesa, I have been looking for a quality and consistent barber to get my haircuts from. Before I tried this place, I make a monthly drive down to Barberside in North Park and wait about 2 – 3 hours to get my hair cut. Always a huge bummer about the ridiculous wait time!
Lot is often busy, but I didn’t have trouble finding a spot around 6 pm on a Wednesday. Jeof was great! Very friendly, easy to talk to, and very meticulous. He really took his time with my hair. I know what I want, but I always have a hard time expressing myself — he was patient and listened carefully to how I want my hair to be cut. I really appreciated that.
Only thing I didn’t like was that he put product in my hair before I got a chance to look at my hair. It’s hard to see if there are crookedness or unevenness when there is already product in my hair, so it was difficult for me to decide if I liked every aspect of the cut. After I went home and washed off the product, there were a few uneven lengths toward the back and on the side. Nothing major though, so I can live with it. Next time, I’ll ask to see my hair before he puts product in and problem solved.
I definitely will be a repeat customer! Hopefully I’ll get to meet his dog next time :)

Good clean cut. He took his time, washed my hair and finished with a old school touch. Beer was good too. Best part is making an appointment he’s there ready for you its beats the randomness of other barbers.

Been getting cuts by Jeof for a couple years now and definitely had to follow him to his new shop. This atmosphere is like a new school premium barbershop without having to feel like I’m going to a «man» salon. The deco feels like a chill man cave where you can lounge on the sofa, have a drink and watch some TV while still being classy. It’s a level above your typical barber shop, where customer service, detail and catering are top notch.
Cut & Dry is by appointment only and hours vary depending on the day of the week. Cut & Dry seems like it’s the only place open at 6 am to get you your cut before you tackle your busy day at work. I had contemplated an early morning appointment several times before scheduling.
Overall great experience and I didn’t expect any less coming from Jeof. You get classic barber service at a fair price.

Talk about a personal experience… My boyfriend came home with a clean cut. Hard to describe what was different but it was so apparent that he was taken good care of. I loved his cut, he looked structured and fresh. The place displays a lot of the owners personal influence and he captures the ideal look for all his customers. The cut was one thing but the experience was another. A unique place, a gem in display that San Diego is so lucky to have. The owner is setting up the bar high with this one. Repeat customer, that’s forsure!

Very nice shop! Has a new and modern design that is very aesthetically pleasing but the quality you get here is unmatched! I made an appointment and showed up about 30 mins early where I was greeted with a warm welcome, a complimentary beverage, and a nice comfy couch to sit on. Barbershop talk was going on and before you know it, it was my turn. The service here is impeccable. Started with a wash, then a cut, and a straight razor shave. He was very attentive on my styling for my beard and sideburns/​mustache and all of these wonderful services were completed with a hot towel with essential oils and a scalp massage. This isn’t you average $ 8 chop shop and your done, the feeling I get here is what I would say is a male spa treatment! I left feeling clean, refreshed, and with that extra confidence boost for my interview the following morning! Thanks again Joefferson! Will be back soon! Give him a try, GUARANTEED YOU WILL BE BACK!

Jeff clearly takes pride in his craft. He is extremely meticulous and takes his time to ensure you get the cut you want. He provides a full service, definitely getting your money’s worth. I was in search for a new barber, I don’t foresee needing to do that again anytime soon. Give him a shot, this place won’t disappoint

I had a great experience getting the gentlemens cut from Joeferson. From hot towels to finishing off with straight razor, this barber shop is on point. He was very thorough and made sure that the cut was to the customers request. Definitely will be going back. Next time I will be making an appointment as he can get busy.

Jeoferson is a great barber and I highly recommend his shop. He has a strong vision and is definitely passionate about his clients. He’s great at communicating and catering to each individual’s needs. His shop uses the highest quality materials, from hair products to the shears he touches your hair with. His service is detailed and he is extremely attentive. One fresh Gentlemen’s Blend from this guy, and you’re hooked.
His shop is on the second floor of the plaza. The parking lot is tight but there should always be a spot. Come early and hang out; he offers beverages and a nice space to wait and relax.

Dope new barber shop in Mira Mesa high end cuts, hot towels, straight razor shaves, and line ups.
It can be said that there’s something inherently rejuvenating about getting a haircut. For men, the cost of this rejuvenation usually means getting forced into a cheap cut where you have to hold the barbers hand and so they just don’t buzz your head against your will and theres not turning back.
Jefferson is different.
You feel genuinely welcome here. You’re always in good hands. Jefferson is a samurai with scissors — steady handed, patient, and focused.
